It's always a treat, coming across a story that would read just as well if the names were unrecognizable. I have been following you for about a year, constantly wondering if there is a piece of original fiction out there with your name on it.
Because if there is... I want to buy it.

But back to the quandary at hand: I am still undecided whether I would prefer Lucius going through with the TT plan with the result of passing Hermione on the street one day and politely nodding, or the omnipotent you nudging the Arithmancy into allowing the proverbial happily ever after. Though I suspect my personal definition of the latter would more closely resemble the first than is customary with your readers.

In any case, brilliant piece of fiction.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll pick up my cane and go pimp this story some more... ;)

I am so glad you updated and I thank you for it. My hurt was breaking for him as he relived his own horrors and fought himself. I also can't stand that he feels he must do this all alone. Poor Lucius. :-( But, great writer! :-) Thank you, hon. HG4eva

I love this story. It is most definitely my favorite LM/HG story. Thanks for the great work and the update. I am literally on the edge of my seat to read what happens next.

Now that's a dilemma right there. Lucius can change his past, but how will that influence his own person when he gets back to his current time? Will he be seamlessly enveloped into the new stream of events with changed memories? Or will he come back, finding that everything has changed, but his negative memories and all the subsequent mental developments are still there?

Will the happiness he finally has found with Hermione still be there? Hmmmmmmm ...... that is a lot to ponder.

The Ministry experts are predicting a positive outcome for this time travel at 91%, so there is a chance that Lucius can prevent that traumatic experience from happening. However, do we know how the Ministry experts define "positive"? Does it simply mean preventing the rape? Or did their calculations also predict a resulting "positive life development" for Lucius as a result? Wow, if I had to make this decision, I would call an all over hard stop for everything else right now to do thorough research. This is something you cannot just blindly decide on a whim. I would need to find out more on the type of "event branching arithmancy" the Ministry experts are using in their calculations, how it works, what they take into account, where they make their cut-off points, how they define their weighting and priorities for the variables in the equations, etc. And also research how a person returning to their own time can achieve to re-integrate themselves seamlessly with new memories. What does it help if he changes the past, comes back, sees everything has changed, no Hermione, etc, but he still has the same problems because his memories didn't change? I can't even fathom how bitter and exasperated that must feel!
But I don't know how much time Lucius has to do his research. I would love to help there, but it looks like all any of us can do at this point is wish him all the best and good enlightenment for his decision.
Another thing is: should he talk about this with Hermione or not? I personally would not. The gravity of this decision would be too much to confide to anybody, especially not to somebody who is affected by the outcome, and who additionally has a Gryffindor personality. But Lucius might think differently. Love changes people's attitudes.
I know it sounds selfish, but ..... I'm kinda glad it's not me who has to make this decision....

And you are doing an awesome job writing this story! I bet all your readers are now deeply emotionally involved, and on the edges of their seats. I know I am. This is the worst cliffy I can think of. Thank you so much! :D

I have just spent the last two weeks reading this fic. It's drawn me in and swallowed me whole, I just can't get enough of it. I wish I had come across it sooner, so all the things I've been wanting to say would be recent and relevent as I went along. I think you got Lucius completely right, in his past self and new persona that comes with such changes and realization of his mortality. His fears seem so real. I am going to skip a bunch of other things I wanted to say because a) there are too many items I want to gush praise over, b) I want to keep up with the program now that I've physically caught up on reading and c) I'm too bloody tired to say much more, as I'm running on 3 hours sleep and I've already been up for about 18 hahaha. Anyway, I am so scared that Lucius might change his past so he some how won't end up with Hermione. A massive action like preventing one of the most tramautic incidents in his childhood would undoubtedly, fundamentally change him. With such a negative and dark stain on his childhood, I would most certainly hope it would give him a life he would much prefer, keeping him safe and happy. But then he wouldn't be the same Lucius we all love, would he? Not that I'm saying we love him for his bad choices, but his infamous ruthlessness would not be as.... Justified. He probably would have made an entire lifetime of different choices, and not that's a terribly bad thing... But my mind is whining like a three year old who wants to eat dessert before finishing her vegetables, 'but what about Hermioneeeeee?????' hahaha. Anyway, congrats on getting me hopelessly hooked, and I can't wait for the next chapter!!

I very much like your story. And I think Andromeda and Tiresias would be a great match. I very much like to see a "group date" ( hermione & lucius, Narcissa & dawlish, draco & marietta, tiresias & andromeda) of sorts, so that they can all come to terms with one anothers relationships and talk things out (hopefully like somewhat mature adults, lol). You obviously either have a very good beta or a very good grasp of grammar and spelling, this has been a delight to read because i don't keep getting irritated over mistakes that dfistract me from the story. i can't wait to read the next chapter and see where this is going!

ok so it has been WAAAAYYYY too long since you have last updated but this chapter was worth it lol. I can't wait to see what happens next. Hopefully lucius will get his head out of his arse and tell hermione that he loves her soon lol. I cried when I read the part about the time turner. The point of how only a matter of hours or days has the ability to change one's life forever has never been more true. once again BRILLIANT writing and can't wait for the next chapter. keep up the good work!!

Oh goodness gracious. That last turn of events positively robbed me of my breath. But what will happen if Lucius goes back himself? I can honestly barely wait to see what happens next! Brilliantly done (and you are right, that formatting is a pain in the a...).

Now, that was sneaky. I'm reading this chapter, thinking everything is winding up nicely, and then in the last paragraph--in the last line--you throw a curve ball that effectively leaves me on as big a cliff as any of the others you've left me clinging to during the course of the fic. I mean, talk about your potential game changers! Fantastic job. As always.

I haven't reviewed before now because I just found this story. I really like it; it's well-written, the characters are believable, and the plot is intricate and interesting. I don't read a lot of LM/HG pairings, but this is the best one I've read yet. Keep it up!
