Wonderful... at first I wasn't that appreciative of having my perfect Harry Potter world tampered with so heavily, but I must admit that you did it with the best taste. Kudos to you! Please continue. We wait with baited breath!

reviewer: trust me, I'm chomping at the bit for action more than you are. :) But don't worry, there's plenty of trouble ahead. So far we have three recognized heroes. Snape, Hermione and Kreacher. That covers Hogwarts quite well . . . they're already tried and true. Let's see if they're rusty.

ErRoR: I don't think Albus talks that much for some reason. Initially he may have, but I think now, just by the way Snape has the other portraits covered, all the portraits, including Albus are on a speak-when-spoken-to level. More than likely Albus is pleased that Snape has found himself a significant other, but early on I wrote that Snape needed her affection but wouldn't admit it, so he's probably still on the "I'm in lust" or "Hermione is a pleasant distraction" kick, which adds to the story since he's going to have to realize and admit he loves Hermione, like we like him to do. YOu know what your question made me think about? Why there are no portraits of the founders? Godric, Rowena, and Helga. I can kind of understand why there's not one of Salazar, based on him leaving the Chamber of Secrets, but still . . . it's a mystery to me. Anyone have any info or theories? I'd be interested in reading them.

love the original characters. the password was great also. "Only Severus" indeed.

just curious, now that you've mentioned albus' portrait and that he talks, what does he have to say about snape and hermione's relationship??

Milo: I think it's the lack of actual character development that has you feeling that way. We know Snape as Snape but usually I write his thoughts and subtext out, which gives us more insight into him, which makes him more understandable. Up to this point he's just been acting "in charge" which can easily translate to "insufferable." lol. I'll get him right in a few chapters. :))

... I feel like I'm seeing Snape in a slightly different light. You always portray him in a similar way, but for some reason he's really striking me as an ASS in this, where before he was just snarky. It's probably because of the changed perspective... but gods be damned... what an insufferable prat! I usually find his ways endearing but currently I just want to jump on him and start pounding away... and not in the good way. ;) I really hope you have something in store to bring the bat man down a few pegs. Arse...

Gotta love that password... sheer brilliance, that. I laugh at people's writing a lot, but that's the first time I can remember just sort of shaking my head in disbelief. Perfect.

Sandra: lol. Actually it's a joke, although I really don't know many black folks into ghosts, and it could very well be something deeply ingrained in us from the past. But I know there are white folks scared to death of them too. It's just that in the scary movies, its always the white people who want to mess with the ghosts. lol. It's sort of like this dialogue.

White folks: There's a ghost? Where? Let's go wrassle it!

lololol. It's all stereotypes really, but pretty funny just the same. I happen to enjoy stereotypes, I guess its because I know they are just that and not true. I find them hilarious. I remember on Southpark, the kids were taken to the Something of Tolerance, and there were statues of like, a black guy eating fried chicken and watermelon, an Asian with a calculator and then a sleeping Mexican with a broom. But the Mexican was the janitor and really was asleep and woke up. lolololol.

"I'm so tired. So very, very tired"

:::cracking up:::: I know it's lowbrow humor, but if ya'll can't tell I'm lowbrow by now, then shame on ya. Thanks for responding. ***

I love your sense of humour. Kreacher? For Rogue? Severus is cruel or he really doesn't like the man. As for your author's note, I've never heard of anything like that but I can understand with the religious culture of african americans in the slave culture and the voodoo that formed in New Orleans. On the other hand i don't know a lot about the religious culture of african americans pre-civil war so please don't be offended if I've said something wrong, it is most likely out of my ignorance. However, I'm Caucasion (sp?) so i have no fear of ghosts, at least not regular ones, poltergeists are a different matter all-together, but I've been a practicing witch for ten years so i doubt there's a lot than scare me anymore in that respect. However, I love the new chapter and I can't wait to read more. And I truly do hope that you finish your book and get it published. I would love to read it. I hope all is well.
    Blessed Be,
    ~Sandra~

Chapter 2,3,4 5,6. This story is so much fun. Love that our two male heroes are cranky characters who I hope will learn to respect each other. Afterall, they are alot alike. It's nice seeing hogwarts and all the characters through their eyes. I laughed aloud several times reading this.
