ANOTHER AN: I am well aware that the term "Omega" does not mean for wolves what I have it mean here and, as a vet tech, the lesson is certainly not needed. Hermione is not a wolf, nor is Remus; Moony is the only wolf. Therefore, as human, Hermione assumes a different role than she otherwise would. Moony is alpha, Hermione is omega (perhaps you would have preferred another term, but this is my story) and there are no others to him. They do not live in a pack, as Remus refuses to do so. She is the weakest, but as a part-human, it would be his job to take care of her. The point of his POV is that he's not talking wolf vs. human culture, he's talking about his own and how she would fit into his life. I assumed that was obvious, but apparently I was mistaken.

I might also add that you neglected to mention the fact that alphas can be siblings and are therefore, required to mate with others outside the alpha role. Also, the fact that wolves do not mate for life (as I always write my Moony stories) seems to have slipped your notice as well.

This may be wrong of me, but I was slightly miffed that you, as a reader, neglected to read the story in its context to really grasp the point of Moony, and chose instead to concentrate on what you believed to be incorrect so that you could then tell me what I had done wrong. Perhaps, if you'd like things to be more 'true to form' you would point out that Moony does not actually exist in canon as a seperate entity. Also, if you could find a fact sheet on the mating/breeding/claiming habits of werewolves (keeping in mind that they don't actually exist either and are therefore, completely up to my own interpretation), I would happily read that. I mean absolutely no offense to you whatsoever (and I'm sure you've put me on your 'do not read, she's a bitch' list), but I am passionate about my Moony stories and do not like someone telling me that my own creation is wrong because when you compare something that doesn't exist to something that does, the facts are wrong. Just my thoughts.

i like the story. it is nice to hear from the wolf in him. however the bit about wolf hierarchy is a little off. the alpha male would seek out alpha female. alpha and alpha go together and are the only breeding pair in a pack. A wolf displaced or shunned by the pack assumes the role of omega. the omega of the pack is the lowest do to its submissiveness, and doesn't mate . . the omega would be the the weakest, would not participate in all pack activity, and would be the last to eat. the omega is the bottom of the pecking order and is often run off from the pack to live alone or find other omegas to form new packs. the alpha female would be the most sought after female and would demand the highest ranking mate to prove his vigor before mating she would submit to no less than alpha. humans are one of the only species that gives the power of choosing a mate to the males. in wolf culture, like most animals, the female chooses her mate carefully by, health, virility, loyalty, and other traits. i realise you are writing about werewolves and not wolfs but if you are going to use the terminology i am assuming you are drawing parallels between the two. now if i didn't already know this when i read your story i would have just skipped over it, but o did so it just became a stumbling block. just wanted you to know. here is a verry siple FAQ sheet on wolf packs. http://www.wolfweb.com/facts-pack.html

    GOOD GRIEF! THIS IS AMAZING!

I have NEVER read a Remus/Hermione that was this good! I have NEVER felt so inside a character, yet still sat on the outside looking in!

The passion, the emotion, the fear, the strength, the anger... all RAW and POWERFUL and BRILLIANTLY displayed in the text!

I am highly impressed and I will certainly sample more of your work! Though, I don't think anything will top this - but I will quite happily be corrected upon reading more of your writing.

Congratulations on such quality and finesse! 12/10
