Well.... second ending, much better. The first ending was so misandric as to be totally unreasonable. Men the source of destruction? PAHAHAHAHAHAH....... Yeah, only in the most deluded feminists mind, period and done with. I've seen enough women carve up other women, kill other women, kill their children, beat their children (with no man around to convince them to do those last two things!), etc. in my work as a social worker that I know that men are not the source of all destruction.... that is LIFE, period and done with. Not men, not women.... just life, period.

Hey, I just felt compelled to pop in and offer my two cents.
First, I have enjoyed this story more then almost any other that I have read on AFF, and that is saying a lot considering I have read literally thousands at this point.
But(always seems to be one), I did feel kind of disappointed with the ending, it seemed that you were looking to finish with a bang-and didn't really care if the lead up made sense. The four horseman of the Apocalypse didn't really fit in to the story, and once they came in it seemed to get REALLY off plot quick. (I mean WtF Why would reclaiming the magic erase the demons? And if it was that easy to kill Abaddon why didn't Astarte ask for it to happen much earlier? Just take magic from him and be done with it.)
I would suggest in the future if you want to have a twist at the end, do something like have Abaddon pass through the mirror, and block Astarte from coming through, so she was stuck in the human world at fairy size till she could figure out how to get back.
That would let you finish off the story with a twist of humor, without it being a twist of ridicules (Not to mention, people may think the ending is perfect, but at least that way it wouldn't be downright insulting to men.)

This is my first time reviewing on this site, and I'd first and foremost like to say that this is among the better stories I have read on AFF. Having spent the last month and a half or so checking daily for updates, it has been an enjoyable experience watching your story unfold. Your comments in the last chapter were especially enjoyable, as I have always held the belief that Rowling, while a genius of world creation, leaves a lot to be desired in the way she resolves issues and story arcs, or fails to.

While I enjoyed your fic, I wanted to defend some of the people who might have been vocal in their dislike of the conclusion. For myself, it was not so much the fact that the ending seems sexist (feminist, whatever), it's that the sudden turn against the men of the world is entirely unexpected, and fairly illogical. I know that relying on preconceived notions while reading a story set in a world of magic is fairly ridiculous, but up until that point, there was simply no indication that men were to blame for the ills of the world. Not even the most well thought out interpretations of the prophecy would have included the destruction of the magic of only one gender, especially with the lack of context clues pointing in such a direction.

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that many men (myself included) probably felt a sense of righteous indignation at the implication that the entirety of the male population couldn't be trusted with an iota of power, and that the entirety of the female population could do no wrong. You have to understand that to someone without knowledge of your thought process at the time you wrote it, this is how the ending of Chapter 36 could be interpreted. Even most of Chapter 37 could be viewed in this manner. In a discussion with "God" it is revealed that men are the cause of destructive magic, and virtually none of the female Death Eaters actually wanted to do what they were doing. And, if I'm not mistaken, women are allowed to be born with the gift of magic, and use it till they lose it, whereas men must rely on the charity of a woman to gain such power. That's downright insulting. In the end, I think it would have been received better if A) the entire magical population was Mugglefied and those deemed worthy were given back their magic, or B) Women weren't portrayed as saints. Of course, the story was yours to do with as you wished. We are but the humble reader.

In summary, I absolutely loved the story, but if you're going to knock people for calling you sexist or feminist (and it is possible to be feminist in a bad way), you have to realize that you're ending appears to be misandric even if you didn't mean it to.

    Keep up the Good Work!

That third ending would continue the story down a dark path. In fact, you should continue an alternate version from that point foward. Enjoyed this one and I'll be waiting on the next story.

A good ending. My review from Ficwad still holds but I liked that you knew how we would react. Women hold the power for now, but there is redemption. That's good enough for me. Of course with all that Harry had been through it's good to see that he remains the Warlock of the Coven.

The first alternate ending spelt doom for the magical community. No redemption and no future.

I liked the second alternate ending. Plenty of potential for another story.

Okay, the story was great until the feminist bullshit at the end of the latest chapter of the story. The fact is that women can be JUST AS, if not more, destructive than men can be. It's time to realize that in this world and stop saying that "Men are so wiolent!" when the truth is that ANY human can be extremely violent.
I'd honestly like a re-write of that last part of the story, to be honest, to acknowledge that fact.
