Reviews for Ashes of Armageddon

If Al has green eyes he pretty-much has to be Harry's son: true green eyes are vanishingly rare in Britain (I've only consciously seen them once or twice in 49 years) so the odds of Tom carrying a gene for green eyes, as well as Harry, are very low.

I suppose if the Dust in Al is growing with him, reacting like child-Tom rather than adult-Tom, then with a proper upbringing he might just grow up to be a bit ruthless and lacking in empathy, rather than outright murderous - something like Sirius. But he's always going to be a problem if the Dust enables him to bend people to his will, and since the Dust is obviously heritable (which suggests it got into Harry's DNA code), if they can't get it out of Al they'll have to render him sterile so he can't pass it on.

I'm guessing "helpful to current situation" is a minor Britpick btw - we say "helping the current situation" or "helpful in the current situation". Also we just say New Year, not New Year's.

God this story is still as great (if not better) then when it first began. Kusho, and keep it up.

Oh my gosh what an awesomely fast update. Of course I loved this, and am equal parts shocked by the turn of events and thrilled how close Harry and Sev have become.

Hooolly crap, that was unexpected. Here I was thinking that we were going to see the usual stepchid situation and you come up with this twist. Talk about evil-step child! Your planning is impeccable, it never fails to amaze me how you come up with this surprise plot twists that seem to come out of nowhere but really follow the logic of the story and make perfect sense that it should happen just so.

This is a truly frightening situation for all involved because even if one was able to be all touchie-feely about it and decided that all Dusty Al needs is love; how on earth do you put aside your fear and somehow love the possibly evil and possessed child? So we can't love Al because we are afraid that he might turn out evil but then he might become evil because we can't love him. Life just sucks for this people....

No wonder Ginny looks tired, thinking she's raising Tom Riddle. _Her_ memories of Parseltongue can't be good ones, either--one wonders how much of it Harry spoke when he was in the Dust, and how much she heard it from a certain diary. Al's instant dislike of Snape is not a good sign, either. Good, scary chapter.

I can imagine why Snape is little bit stunned to realize that this is his life now, and not just endurance. I had to laugh at the Cockatrices liking him (you know that the general reaction would be 'somehow, we were not surprised'). He and Harry are a couple now, not master and slave, and both Snape and Harry are surprised to realize they're now used to it. Brilliant.

Oh dear - so this version of Al (btw you've mistyped him as "All" at one point) fears Severus because there's enough of Tom in him to know that Severus betrayed him. But is he canon Al with a gloss of Tom added, or is he actually Tom reborn? Is he actually Harry's son, or Tom's? I can't remember whether this Al has Harry's green eyes or not.

Well, that complicates everything. Perhaps a part of Tom Riddle lives in Al, I don't think he would recognize Severus otherwise...a little mini lord;-).....because he really doesn't behave like a normal child. but they can't just Avada Kedavra this part of Tom Riddle away, can they????

    Good chapter:-)

Holy Crap. I didn't even think of the dust. Don't know why. It's been such awhile I suppose since book 1. My breath stopped when Albus spoke Parseltongue. If it wasn't for the fact that you took that ability away from Harry (although he relearned it), I wouldn't have thought much of it I suppose. But for the dust to possible recognize Severus again... Crap Crap. Especially since Albus never met Severus before excepting that party. And I'm guessing Ginny isn't showing Albus Snape's picture and conditioning him that Snape is bad. -_- I'm assuming you won't be cruel enough to kill Albus or anything, but I wonder if I can assume Ginny is under the effects of the dust? I look forward to the next chapter. It'll be really bad of course if Albus hissed "traitor" at Severus. Oh dear.

so Al's got Riddle on the brain *cackles evilly* lolz but so does he hate his mom then? and why does he shrink away from harry? I get why he completely despises Severus but I really wonder what he said =P and Ginny's a bit of a pain but then again I never really liked her character...sorry if you like her though =)

Just when you think things are looking up for our boys...
I wonder what Al said. Did Ginny ever show pictures of Severus to Al to make Al react like that?
    Very intriguing chapter. Keep going!

OMG!!! That was quite unexpected (well sorta :P) Ginny is just shady....why wouldn't she tell Harry that Al speaks parseltongue...I wonder what all this means. I'm surprised that he feared Snape...is that Tom fearing Snape or something else...I'm intrigued and worried about them, they were doing so well!

@Ch 56. How sweet! I'm glad that they're really bonding and spending some real quality time together without the tension...the little talk they had in front of the mirror was so touching, Severus has truly come a long way. I love that Harry is making it clear to Severus that he wants him to be permanent part of his life. So funny Hugo has mastered the puzzle, he's such a smart boy and a great balance for them all after so much darkness. I really like this chapter, they need some brightness in their life...I just want it to last and get better, but you're the queen of the unexpected and angst, so I'm not holding my breath : )
