wow.First of all,I'm very sorry I didn'review last chapters.Sometimes it's just too dificult for me to write in English everything that your incredible story makes me feel. But this I can tell:I'm very grateful. This tale of dark and light, sadness and hope, and above all, LOVE trying to find its way,is really wonderful. Please post as soon as you can, and know that you have a faithful fan thousands of miles away.

So does that mean the visit is off then? :( So this covenant...is it supposed to be an extra clause the "master" can add to the relationship? Hmmm. Interesting. I'm glad for his honesty, but I wish Severus could have taken the dream thing better. He only admitted to having enjoyment over having power, and assured that he wasn't interested or in any position to gain power. I just can't imagine having anyone who wouldn't enjoy at some level having power over the other, as long as it is equal in the long run (unless they are extreme hufflepuffs). To have this sort of buildup when not thinking of the wariness before, is quite sad. I hope for the end of the contract soon, because this seesaw between extreme servility (happiness at Harry's presence) and wariness, is rather sad to read. How much more of this book are you anticipating? Great job so far.

I disagree with Harry. He did take advantage of Severus. I don't really understand how Severus can see this otherwise, except that the bond may force him to believe it.

Another excellent chapter, Emily. I feel so sorry for Harry, though I completely understand Severus' reactions. I am tempted to join your new chapter/story notification list, however I have to admit I find enjoyment in simply checking up every day (sometimes twice :) ) just to feel the rush of pleasure and anticipation when I see a new post. :)

Hey Emily, great chapter, I wonder if Severus will be able to trust Harry someday, everything seems to be really difficult. But after all this stuff Severus had been through, it's not a surprise. It's still my most favourite fanfic and I'm looking every morning if there is a new chapter.:-)

    Hello,
I found this two weeks ago and feel in love.I love how the char's work and how isn't not all love and bunnies. That people are hurt and it doesn't just go away with a sorry. I also love that snape knows so much about the bound and how it works. While the Harry is just stumbling alone in some ways because of pride. Also the fact he doesn't want to admit they are bonded. He has no clue what it really means or what it does. Just seems to think that love will win the day again.
I think snape has ever right to be bitter. Some of it I think is because he knows what I bond should be like. A part of him needs that like Tom/Harry said when he first picked him up. snape needs a Master. As I have gotten the chance to read most of it all together. I think that Tom was and at the moment a much better master. He was cruel and evil but he knew what it meant to have that bond with another person. So in a way I think snape will not be able to forgive Harry till he takes that place and shows him he can be Master with kindness and a firm hand.

i like your style of writing. It's nice to hear what the char's are thinking. I would like to know a little more of what is going on in Harry's head. Is he at battle with himself all the time? Does he think any moment he will become Tom. Does he panic or feel sick when he enjoys something Tom did. Does he wonder if He liked it and Tom learnt it off him? What does he think when he see's snape? Also how closely has he been watching snape?
Sorry for the 20 questions. Also sorry not much of a review. As you might be able to tell I am really into the story and want to know more. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Geez, Severus is not a happy camper. What a grouch! But I can see where both he and Harry are coming from... still, it's rather hard to walk away from someone who just wants to love you. Oh well! Until next time.

Thanks for the new chapter! I was a little confused when they first brought up Tom still being in Harry, but I figured it out.

I usually don't like Dark Fics, but only because they're rarely well done. Usually it's just very extreme and violent for violence's sake. But your story is truly wonderful. You've captured the torment of Snape perfectly. This last chapter left me depressed almost. Harry's grown up but there are so many aspects of his personality that he doesn't even realize he needs to work on. I hope you update soon, your story is magnificent.

What an interesting development. So, Harry still understands Parseltongue...I think I'm with Sev here, what else does Harry 'still do' that he hasn't revealed. Harry's revelation that he still enjoys having power and has been conditioned to associate it with pleasure is a bit startling, especially in light of how he's been fawning over Sev. It only underscores how much he really loves the man, that he's willing to suppress this desire of his to be passive and patient, despite having the power and ability to act out the bond's true nature. Poor Sev, as soon as he gets a little comfortable, something else comes along to shake his foundations and make him question his relationship and his role all over again. Loving Harry sounds hard! : ) I hope Sev isn't walking away permanently...I can't wait to see what this contract will say...I hope Harry will do Sev the courtesy to read up on the nature of the bond before they meet again. But what I really want to know is, how will Sev honor the bond and Harry's desire to have power without compromising his dignity and sanity in light of their history and his fragile recovery. This was a really great chapter and a most interesting turn in a fascinating story. Can't wait to see what happens next!

It is sad that Severus is unable to even let himself not refer to Harry constantly as a student. Great job in conveying Severus discomfort long before naming it by just simply making Harry seem overly pushy, not necessarily in an ordinary situation, but seemingly pushy in this unordinary one.
