Ron's quite right of course - Snape's had to do the same thing, he's had to keep quiet and pretend to be a good little Death Eater even when one of his colleagues was being murdered and begging him for help. I don't suppose it would ever occur to him that Neville had done anything other than a good, professional job by staying out of it until he was in the best position to act.

Nice chapter although for some reason I really got annoyed with Neville. I know as Hermoine said that it was stress and everything but the things he said and the way he said it just rubbed me the wrong way. He must have known what he was getting into and now he is somehow regretting it. Regretting the fact that he hoped that his friend would come back to them and now become the next Dark Lord. Sorry for that little rant but I am glad that severus is recovering now. I am still wondering when Harry will make an appearance again

I love your Neville and really REALLY hate Dumbledore in this story! I'm glad someone (like Neville) thinks too that what Dumbledore did to Snape was disgusting, mersiless and unhuman. Thanks for this chapter!

Although it is understandable, I'm rather sad that Neville holds so much hatred for Harry. I read the chapter of what happened to Snape and was totally thrown off my axle, so I can only imagine what it must have been like to see what he saw. I can understand the hatred for Dumbledore, as I myself when reading the books was completely irate when I read what Dumbledore said to Snape when Snape came begging. Still quite curious about what happened with Luna. Perhaps she did something she can't forgive herself for, or perhaps she can't agree with the hatred Nevill feels for Harry... Looking forward to more of course.

I was reminded of a scene from a show called Babylon 5 when, in an attempt to find a lead on where a kidnapper is hiding a loved one, a man basically takes out everyone in a bar. Another guy, who would also like to find the missing loved one enters. After a brief comment on his combat training the first man says, "They said I was carrying around a lot of repressed anger." Second fellow, "and?" "I'm not repressed anymore."

Or something to that affect. Screaming helps too. I'm so very fond of Neville.

Neville better watch his mouth about killing Harry. I don't care what he went through. He's not the only one that's suffering. Harry suffered too.

@Interlude. I'm so glad that Sev and Neville are bonding! They both need that...and I'm sad that Neville and Luna didn't make it. I guess life isn't always happy endings and rainbows...I know Sev is missing Harry why else would he care what's missing about his private life in the paper. And thank goodness for Hermione...I can't believe that man had an infection and was suffering through it. We'll see if he learns to open up more in the second book. I'm glad Hugo is the bright spot in his life and I hope that continues....

@ch. 33. What a bittersweet ending! LOL@ Snape being just Slytherin enough to bask in glory and take his awards and be thoroughly annoyed at the proceeding reception. I can totally see him sneaking away the way he did. Interesting that he KNEW Harry's footsteps. That's damn creepy and sexy..or was he facing Harry when he approached ? I loved that Snape gave Harry some form of absolution...and it's so sad that he still blames himself after all this time for what happened, but if you believe in the butterfly effect I suppose technically what he said is very true. I'm glad he allowed Harry to hug him, and there moment together and the conversation about the Beetles song was so cute and sad at the same time. Excellent ending to a absolutely enthralling and heartbreaking story. I think it's one of your best and that's really saying something! I'm looking forward to the next book....starting now... : )

Severus will kill me for this but oh well *huggles poor Sevvie*

It seems that he really needs Harry and I hope Harry will realize that soon or maybe Hermoine can tell him in her own way. That would be a fun read
