Reviews for Ashes of Armageddon

Oh goodness I just read you answer to one of my reviews. I was giggling because I knew Neville was George. Of course I did not think Harry was going to catch him right away, stupid of me because Harry has known Neville and George for a long time and would be able to tell something was off with George behaviour. So, yeah I giggled in vain since they really did not get away with anything, no candy for me this time :(

Well that was quick. When I read Violations I thought Neville had tricked Harry, maybe because I am a Neville fan. Darn I even thought that it would be poetic if Neville got to kill Harry since he is the new DL. At least I was right about the horcrux thing. Sooooo how are we going to kill Harry? The muggle way? Somebody show Hermoine the way to a Pawn Shop!!! Wait if the horcrux in Harry is disolved, would Harry be able to return from Kings Cross?

Your story gets more and more exciting each chapter and I can't wait to see how you get Moine's gang out of trouble.

The "sensual darkness" element is imo worrying, since it runs the risk of eroticising rape. But the plot is extremely clever. Obviously, Harry hates Snape and thinks he's a traitor because the Tom-fragment *knows* that Snape betrayed Tom-prime; and Albus is stuck at the notional King's Cross waiting for Harry, and since he can't get through the Veil his portrait can't properly connect to his dead-self.

If they manage to get the true Harry back he's presumably going to feel as if *he* did these things, and will need a great deal of psychological help which Severus, in fact, is probably the best-placed person to give him, since he knows what it feels like to have done dark things you wish you hadn't done.

Only one real Britpick in the chapters that aren't on ffn, btw - "pissed" means drunk, here. "Pissed off" means angry.

I like your story! It's very good! And I enjoy reading it.

Though, have you ever heard of giving a person a break? Poor Severus!!! And poor Hermoine, Ron, Hugo and Neville!!!

I believe I may have to agree with that reviewer who wanted to enslave you to the Harry/Tom hybrid instead... ;)

Anyway, I hope you can update soon; I'm so curious to read what'll hapen next.

    Keep it up!

    Kind regards,

    Yashida

Damn you are good with twisting the story. Chapter 25 gave hope that they might be able to fight Harry but in chapter 26 you showed the cunning that Harry has. It was unexpected but still a nice twist.

Alex: Wow. Thank you for your feedback. I must admit, I'm rather queasy and sick myself on many occasions writing this, and many times I'm not entirely sure why I am taking this DarkFic this far. But to use the old writer's excuse, the story has a mind of its own now, and I am going to let the darkness run its course. As for why Severus doesn't kill himself, there are several reasons: (1) Pride

I've been reading other reviews and I think I'm agreeing with Alex. Because Snape is aware that the bond and a kind of Stockholm Syndrome is affecting him and drawing him to Harry, it means that any positive "feelings" toward Harry must also evoke feelings of a sort of self-disgust and a further sense of degradation, as you've already shown. I've been concerned that there was no believable way to resolve this story with both Harry and Snape alive. If the pieces of Voldemort are somehow driven out of Harry or killed, and only the "real" Harry is left, he is still bonded to Snape. Snape, even if only bonded to the "real" Harry, still has these truly horrific memories that no person could believably "get over" even with the bond, because even if the bond was drawing Snape to care for Harry, the bond doesn't, as far as you've shown, get rid of Snape's other emotions, memories, etc. And if the "real" Harry gets left after Voldmort's soul pieces are dead, how's he supposed to deal with all the trauma and abuse that he's put others through? And as far as we know at this point, even the "real" Harry doesn't particularly like Snape.

I really hope we don't end up with a series of potions fixing up Snape physically as right as rain, and the bond stepping in to fix his feelings for Harry and override any residual memories of trauma. That's just too easy.

Honestly, the best outcome I could imagine is that Harry dies and Snape gets to have some time and peace to get over this horror.

Still, you have written everything quite well so far -- except, in my opinion, for making Snape's semi-recovery in "Dust" a bit to quick, but maybe that's just me. So I'm looking forward to how you've planned to resolve this. I hope to be pleasantly surprised, if not for the character's sake, at least for the believability of the outcomes.

Don't see how this can end happily...I don't know about Severus but I am about to give up hoping for a good ending. You said 'sort of' a happy ending, to me that doesn't bode well for our Professor. Very nervous about what Harry will do to Severus this time. Rape him and make him enjoy it... No longer mad at you but like Severus I feel defeated. looking forward to the next chapter...I hope.

What to say... There a a great many things I can say about this story from chapter to chapter, perhaps even paragraph to paragraph, but this is a fantastic story. Now that they've found Hagrid they can go and tell him: great job, if it wasn't for him, Harry would have had the whole King's Cross meeting. And married Ginny...wait. ... Horray for Hagrid! lol But in any case, the idea that led up to this mayhem was clever and believeable next to the actual books. I just read that you have eight more chapters to write and I can't wait to see where you go from here honestly. A few chapters ago I was very much convinced that this final battle WAS going to take place in Hermione's kitchen. It is both frustrating and delightful that Harry is as sinister, intelligent, and more than anything: powerful as he is. The Nevile-George threw me for a loop although I hope to know what the "kink" was. Not that it necessarily should be performed from Harry to Snape...

I'm crossing my fingers for a happy ending myself. With their souls as intertwined as they are, the last thing, despite everything, Harry deserves is to go to hell, or even go through this hell. I imagine that although he is losing control, and I wonder how much of him conscious and awake to realize his actions. Not a big fancier of this new trio either, another reason I want Harry back w/o Voldy attached.

Although I don't like the fact that Snape is a very broody slave, I understand his reasons for not committing suicide I think. Belief that he deserves it, although I'm sad that what he did for that girl that was tortured by all the death eaters and Voldemort will not probably be brought to life. Is his reasons at all because of his love for Harry? I'm not sure on that one. Perhaps the idea of it is far to sappy.

Now for the next chapter: I wonder how Harry will react to a Snape that is affected by a pain killer and by a sort of coffee that is going to make him sleep for some time to come.

Hmm...so what is there left to guess.
    - No matter what, I believe that Dumbledore, the bastard syltherin he is, was completely aware of what he did in everything. Only this time, as your recent one shot denotes: he will be unable to apologize for this new mayhem caused. -_-
    - Not really a guess, but more like a hope that despite obvious worries that should be made: Hugo is going to be out of the picture and okay. I hope.
    - The last thing I want is for a Ginny and Albus (by the way, I loved the reasons you made for the kid to be named Albus) appearance to save the day. If the day will be saved it will probably be by Dumbledore's "gracious" hand... **cough**
    - The eventual King's Cross meeting...and That nail thing... I have to wonder if that has anything to do with anything. Well this is a bit convoluted of a guess but if things DO NOT turn out well, and I haven't given this side much thought as all I've been doing is holding on to that bit of hope, although the King's Cross meeting in the book was with Dumbledore, right? I would think that perhaps this time, it might be with Lily...dare I say, with Snape. Nail being the horcrux... I don't know, I saw that as a sick perverted way of Harry, making Snape...lose the kingdom/battle?

Oh dear, shouldn't have started to read this after the delight of Caning Positions from you! But I suppose I didn't believe the warnings. Or, more correctly, the extent you'd take the warnings to.
HP-fandom is ripe with dark-fic and every kink known to man (more than any other fandom) but this exceeds everything I've read in several years of fandom immersion in cruelty, dehumanization, desolation and darkness. And I don't mean in a good way. That it's technically wellwritten makes it somehow even more horrifying to read....

I'm still completely baffled as to why Severus doesn't kill himself FINALLY. I've read your explanations to others questions but frankly they don't make much sense to me since there's absolutely no hope or chance for getting the bond cancelled in your set up.
And even if there were: how many people would WANT/be able to continue living as anything but a broken shell after suffering through such monstrosities and horrors?! He also gets more and more in danger of becoming a Stockholm syndrome victim in addition to the magical enslavement - and he's clearly aware of it!

So just what makes Severus want to live?! His penchant for being used, humiliated and gang-raped for real? I don't think so....
Being tortured and mistreated for the rest of his - hopefully - short life by a sadistic, psychopathic brat? That for some odd reasons he or the others still don't really wan't to put down before he destroys whole Wizarding Britain more completely than Voldemort ever could? Or the gang of monsters he helped create who can't use Horcruxes as an excuse for their depravity: George, Wood, Lee?

Go Hermione!!! I hope she figures something out! I can't believe Hugo has to stay with Lee, he's a rapist now, I don't care if he has kids of his own. Harry sucks! lol. I can't believe he knew it was Neville all along, although I can totally see that, because Neville is a sweety and probably isn't a very good liar, even if he looks like someone else. Harry has to know how far gone he is....I mean he must know. I think it's funny how he told Hermione to shut up after she tried to explain what was wrong with him, maybe he knows but is losing the battle? Poor Severus, the humiliation just keeps on ticking huh? I can't believe this is gonna end in like 8 chapters...I can't wait to see what you have in store, and I'm still holding out for a not completely dark ending, but if it does end that way, then so be it, either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes down.

OMG!!!! @ Preparations!!! Whoa, I was NOT expecting that. You really threw me for a loop. Harry kidnapped Hugo??? And was just going to pat them all on the back for coming up with a brilliant plan....why am I genuinely scared!? Brilliant storytelling here...I'm seriously worried for everyone in this fic, even Harry, the believably evil bastard that you've created. OK, I know I should read the next chapter right away, but honestly, I'm a bit nervous...
