interesting. i finally get what the title means. lol...took me awhile to think it over. it's sort of the aftermath of the battle and how the characters are reacting to the things that happen in their lives. sort of what Ginny did when she left Harry or something like that.....did that make any sense? if not then to bad. lol.

Awww Hugo is so sweet. Why do I get the feeling that this chapter maybe the start of Harry's true change and I just wonder if Harry is still meant to see Dumbledore on Kings Cross.

Earlier I said that the old Harry would have thought about hitting Snape with the ruler but not actually done it; this morning my thoughts differ. Harry never had impulse control but he stayed good because he did not have evil thoughts (unlike me). Now I wonder if these thoughts are really his

Wao! I will have the image of Snape holding his bruised hand under the water while sobbing forever burned in my mind. To my shame what made the biggest impression is that I really could not find fault in Harry

(Ch. 1-8) I've been following along with this story for a while now and thought I should review. Dark!Harry is wonderful and I love what you've done with Ron and Hermione. I love the meaning behind Hugo's name, it's very heartfelt and sentimental. Also, I very much enjoy the subtle, yet noticeable differences from the "Nineteen Years Later" epilogue. You've really put a lot of thought into this story -- I just can't get over keeping Hugo's name and giving me an actual reason to like it. Thank you so much for fast, double updates. I check frequently for this story!

    Your faithful reader,

So Dumbledore treated Snape *worse* then Riddle or the Marauders ever did effectively and Snape is so pathetic and broken he welcomes and justifies it.

He's also so spineless that with your solution he *never* did anything out of his own volition: helped to destroy Voldemort, not even out of revenge or warped love for Lily, but always under others orders via slave-bond. Because *everything* was Dumbledore's will so nothing could have been Snape's responsibiltiy or merit! Makes even Wormtail look heroic and independent.... Urgh. I now wish Severus had died or been kissed here, that would be less demeaning and disgusting. It would have been kinder, there's absolutely no personality and own will there.
I'll abandon this particular story and hope I'll enjoy reading another one day by you: this is just too dark, depressing and demeaning for me.

Why is Severus so incredibly spineless and easily manipulated? Hell, why did HE talk Granger out of having the mark placed elsewhere: a huge brand on his forehead, never to be erased?! Because that was him, who derailed her efforts, not psycho!Potter.
The man who goes berserk when humiliated canonically, decides to go out in public with his abuser wearing that thing?! Voluntarily? Sorry, no. Perhaps after years of isolation and brainwashing but this isn't what happened here, isn't it. For him there hasn't been much time gone and he just arrived at Potters a few days (1?) ago.

And the "oh, I'm soooo hungry"-thing, after not even a single day?! Makes his earlier defiance look completely ridiculous. And I wonder how he'd survive days and weeks without food, which is after all perfectly possible physically. Clearly not this guy though....

Why does he internalize Potter's less than subtle tactics within hours? He's been menaced and manipulated by better and much cleverer people. Even if he does feel tremendous self-loathing: after just a few hours he already *shows* Potter his true feelings and weaknesses?! Serves them up on a silver platter? That's pathetically spineless and moronic. Why doesn't he express his feelings in the (for now) safe privacy of his own mind or better repress them. He gives Potter attack point after attack point with little to no effort from that side.

And so stupid?! He has no illusions about Harry's sanity and sadism, you made that clear. So EVERYTHING he takes away from Spinner's End, EVERYTHING that has value for him, sentimental or material, is GUARANTEED to become either a hostage or a torture instrument for Potter to use against him whenever he feels like it!
Someone who grew up in an abusive household KNOWS this, has learnt that lesson before being old enough be able to leave for Hogwarts. Don't get attached, it's going to be used against you (Severus did once as a young child and has clearly learned the perils since he paid for it his whole life: after all that was how Albus managed to hold Severus in guilt and thrall for nearly 2 decades despite *Dumbledore* being the one who didn't fulfill their deal/promise re Lily) or destroyed before you.
Someone who has spend his adult years between two ruthless madmen with a pletora of personality disorders between them and one of them who used his own feelings against him should know better, dammit - he knew with Albus in the end, clearly. And I have a hard time seeing him blinded by sympathy or a public image in Potter's case.
The only sensible thing would be to take NOTHING away to his torturer's home or cleverer: to take only things he's not going to miss if - *when* - Potter destroys them or holds them ransom! Ideally things that *look* as if he valued them much more then he truly does, if he were really cunning.

It's weird, with this rampantly psychotic and sadistic Potter-nightmare in the story I feel *Snape* is the one seriously OOC.

Ah so that is where Severus believes that he needs penance for but shouldnt the need for that be null since Dumbledore ordered hSeverus to kill him. I really am getting curoius as to why Harry is like that, cna you at least tell us when you will reveal the reason he is like that. I just do hope that Harry's friends will keep him from going completely dark

So I don't think that Harry really killed Voldemort. I think that the small piece of Voldemort's soul is still inside of Harry... Or something... Or he really is just this big of an ass... But I don't think so... something about it just seems fishy... Like he progresses with time gets darker and darker... It isn't like he is testing the field to see what he can get away with it is as if he HIMSELF is getting darker... Does that make sense? I sure hope it does. lol. I hate evil Harry's... lol. But you are doin' such a great job I can't stop reading specially after your last story. -dies- You are a God. You should really take my last comment in consideration and do a Draco/Neville story or Ron/Remus... You are like one of the only authors that would be able to get a good reason for them to be together and make a story I would actually like.

    Cheers.
