Reviews for An Unlikely Savior ~ (Edit) COMPLETED

MND: You think Eileen is perfect? I had three reviews stating she's a psychopath. And there hasn't yet been enough about Rose to show all her shades yet. I think the black/white thing with this story is the best way to show the conflict, with the gray slowly bleeding through as everyone comes together. Everyone is seeing things the way they want to see it, even Hugo. Suppose he had been wrong about Eileen? His sister Rose loves him, she'd just-- a stupid big sister most of the time. But if Eileen had indeed had ill intent, she would have been there for him with bells on. And Eileen didn't HAVE to snatch Hugo the way she did, pissing Rose off, which really was her intention. So, she's no angel either. Rose didn't intend for everyone to go after Eileen and she did try to stop them in the common room. Still, she didn't try to help her when she was surrounded. She believes it's because she is jealous, but she probably didn't want to take a Slytherin's side in front of her housemates either. The shades of gray are there. Rose is just acting like a spoiled thirteen-year old. Eileen, although she wants to get to know Hugo, is purposely giving Rose a hard time in her own way. She knew Rose wouldn't like her flying with Hugo. She could have arranged something less-- glaring for an initial meeting. Like lunch or something, but no. She went for the big guns, zipping him all over Hogwarts, then not listening to Rose and running off with him. So, they're both acting out here. Eileen is no goodie-goodie, believe me and far from perfect.

Vertpin: lol. Now Rose is the black, Eileen is the white :) Everyone is shades of gray, depending on perspective and the way we are perceiving the characters. Sympathy is flying back and forth in this story like gangbusters. But, I do want to say this in defense of the Gryffindors. They banded together to find Hugo. It was unfair odds to Eileen when they caught her, but everyone was furious. I don't believe it is habit that they do this, it was just the situation and a bit of rabblerousing on Rose's cousins' part.

    "Gods, this was so complicated."

    So true... but?

Rose is that bad? I liked this chapter but, for me, it seems that all child characters loose what i ll call "greyness", Rose is like a black sheep, Eileen and Hugo the whites' one.

Bye and nice update rate :)

hmmmmmmmm...I still Hermione is behaving stupid. I don't know why, she just is.

I hope Hugo and Eileen become friends. I'd like that idea.

As for my question, I just realized you answer them in the "reviews", which explains so much, lol. But yes, I guess you sort of answered it without giving the rest of your story away.

Do you think Lucius will make an appearence in the story? hehehehe. I would get a kick outta that. Eileen hanging around Uncle Lucius. :-)

Lacrimosa: I'm not sure how Eileen is going to handle meeting Hermione, or her reactions to her. I doubt she takes issue with her dad though. She's a logical girl, and nothing can change the past (except a Time Turner). If she does get along with Hermione, she will probably just start from where she is.

I am really enjoying this story even though it does not seem like Severus and Hermione are going to end up together. Since there was another appearance of Odessa I am wondering if she is going to end up Severus

This is getting even more intruiging - am I to guess correctly that Ron is one of Odessa's guests? Can't wait for more Severus and Hermione interaction, can feel the underlying sexual attraction from over here.

I was just reading your story for the first time, and I think it's awesome! I love the interaction between Rose and Eileen! Can't wait to see more of the sibling encounters!

I'm very curious about something. Eileen has chosen to forgive her father, and sort of figures that she doesn't need a mother because she has been so loved by her father. But the only thing Eileen knows about mothers is what she experienced with that absolute harpy of a surrogate. She has never known a mother's love. When she meets Hermione and realizes exactly what she's missed out on, will she feel the same? Will she stand by her decision to forgive Snape, or will she get angry with him? Or even a mix of both? I particularly can't wait to see how she feels about her father's decision later on.

I loved every bit of it, and can't wait for the next update!

Lyra Aphrodite: Hey girl. :) Usually, if I see a question issued by a reader, I will do my best to answer it, because it shows an interest in the story. Of course, I appreciate that interest immensely.

To answer your question, in my opinion, this is an HG/SS but not in the traditional sense. It is a different kind of relationship, not based on romance or intimacy, but interactions. They had their moment, but that moment wasn't based on mutual attraction. They never lusted for each other.

This is an exploration of interpersonal relationships, and of coming to terms, and hopefully growth in the face of adversity. It involves more than Hermione and Severus, and challenging the beliefs of others and what's right and what's wrong. Can there be a meeting of the minds with all involved? That's the crux of this story I think. But I don't foresee any romance between the couple, but the interactions, in my opinion still make it HG/SS. I hope I answered satisfactorily. ***

    ooh.
I wonder how Hermione will feel after Snape shows her the real memory of the night.
Hopefully, she won't be as annoying.
I have a question though, and I know you don't usually answer questions on the A/N of your story, but I hope you'll answer mine --

This story was originally a one-shot, and obviously that one-shot was HG/SS. But now it's a story...is this story supposed to be a continuation of the one-shot, meaning it'll be a HG/SS. Or is this story the after-effects and the HG/SS part was the original one-shot?
I mean I won't stop reading either way because its ridiculously interesting thus far and different, but I'm very curious.

    Thanks Figgy!
    :-)
