Chapter 5: Lucius has a wonderful collection of homes and villas. Too bad he sees them as tainted now. His mind still wanders to Padma. Oh, sad, that he

I've really enjoyed what you've written so far. It is rare to have a real, fleshed-out plot with consistent characterisation with either of the Patil twins. The story so far, feels realistic even though we know it is AU. Brava! You have a real knack for writing and I hope to read more soon.

By the way, daal is a general term for any lentil soup prepared in the Indian manner. In the South, they have rasam & sambhar in addition.

    Thanks again.

    (Chapter 4)

I'm so glad to see you updated this story. Having read Draco's story, I've been curious as to what happened to his parents.

I've always been intrigued by the character of Lucius (helped along, of course, by Jason Isaacs!) particularly in fanfiction that gives him more dimension other than unrelenting arrogance. I like your take on Lucius. There's still enough arrogance to keep him Lucius, but now he's got some humanity and some humility. I like it that in your story it's Lucius who accepts his daughter-in-law and grandsons rather than Narcissa, who would not even allow her grandson to touch her. You're making me feel for Lucius, and like him, and you're making me think about Padma, a character I'd never bothered with before. I love the concept of evil twin good twin you wrote for her and Parvati, and I like the family life you made for her, and I love Lucius' nickname for her, his term of endearment. I'm looking forward to more of this story, so I hope you'll update soon!

Chapter 3: I loved the romance novel description and title. Did that male cover model bear some slight resemblance to Snape? Oh, I see it does. That cracks me up. Snape as a leading man? Actually I would read those novels, too.(blushes) And Padma is wrong about the women pitying Snape, heh, heh.

I do wish our romance novel covers moved. There are a couple I wouldn

Chapter 2: So Draco knows that his father is sleeping on a cot at the rectory? Ah, he has to sleep there because of the parole regulations, I think. Draco EUGENE?? Oh my Gods!

I see that Lucius has been naughty in the church service. Who precisely was reading the

Chapter 1: My goodness, the backstory alone must have been a tome. One question after reading the intro: was it Lucius who tried to commit suicide or Narcissa? I will assume it was Lucius and continue reading.

Okay, now I'm already angry with the Ministry for allowing the Muggles to ruin Malfoy Manor. Yikes! Poor Lucius. A cot at a halfway house? He certainly paid for his Death Eater connections. Did you already cover WHY Dumbledore double-crossed the Malfoys?

Oooh, I like the phrase "pants at charms". I assume it means unskilled? So cute!

An elf! It is a telling statement that Lucius did not want the elf to serve him. Has he changed so much? Will the elf actually be a help to Lucius later in the story? Or will Hermione accept the elf as her fondness for them makes her want to protect it?

I don't know the circumstance, but was Padma taking advantage of her charge by kissing Lucius? It seems kind of a breach of ethics. Hmm, he was flirting with her? Still, she stepped over a professional line (you'll have to fill me in on that).

Ouch! Padma's sister betrayed her that way? Very hurtful.

Pradesh the prat. My moniker for him.

And she's got a shit boss, too. Loved the 'wattle' description. Although I actually agree with 'the prick' that she needs to get away. No need to endanger her patients with her rundown mental state.

Is Lucius Malfoy making some kind of comeback in financial affairs? I'm glad Narcissa is signed off from his life, but it was sad that they both realized their mistakes - unfortunately that boat has sailed and it is too late for them. Why is she apparently rich while he's having to sleep on a cot in a halfway house?

Soooo, Lucius had feelings for Padma. He just didn't show them? Do we know why? Was that in the other story?

This is a very interesting start with an unusual couple. I'm intrigued by the couple and the storyline. Where will she go on holiday? Grass skirts? Nude beaches? Yodeling in the Alps? Cruising on Lake Como? Scottish highlands? I'll have to check the next chapters to find out.

    If Jason Isaacs offered...what?

I liked this. It's a good start, and I like it that it's characters that are usually not written about. (Padma Patil) I liked this well enough to go to FF.net and seek out the rest of the story. I'd like to ask though....why didn't you post all that here on AFF as well?
