Reviews for The Same Species As Shakespeare

    (Chapters 6, 7, 8)

I don't really like Snape in this story, at least not now. His little speech in Chapter 6 made him seem excessivvely petty, vindictive and immature. The business between him and Lucius, with Lucius saying that Severus would rather place Draco's life in danger than to experence a little inconvenience with the wards, and Snape stalking out without replying, somehow made me wonder if Snape isn't somehow in on it. Makes me wonder if he is the imposter?

I liked Ron's concern for Harry, and his words of advice concerning Harry's crush on Draco were wise. He may not like Draco, but he seems alright with the fact that Harry wants to shag him silly. Oh, and the ring, please, please I hope Harry doesn't put it back on! I can't stand to listen to Hermione badger him continually!

Looking forward to the next update!

I was surprised that you put limits on Harry's magic this time, with him being exhausted over simple (but a bit elongated) wandless magic, but I'm also a bit glad you did. It is a first for me to read something like that since people usually make him all powerful or just rather simple. Also surprising, and I'm afraid I don't give Ron much credit for character, was reading Ron tell Harry he was a fool, since usually Hermione is the one to do that, and Harry in turn tell Ron he is a fool. But I'm glad for it all the same, because it'll be nice to make Harry more aware and less love-drug induced so that Draco can fully get a grasp on his feelings. Also I was thinking how weirdly defined Draco's notion of beating Harry is. I can imagine in this world you created that Kingsley or Ron or anyone else important would really lose faith in Harry if Harry is made a fool for Draco. I mean, I assume the end game is making Harry fall for him and then breaking his heart, but is it to be something embarassing or dangerous? I can only imagine the important people would fuel anger and hexes for Draco, rather than think any less of Harry. The general population will say what they will, but their opinion never really matters as a whole anyways. In anycase, wonderful job with this chapter. I rather liked the scene of Harry showing off for Draco.

Stupid pong-game crashed my review once again... crap, what did I say?? ok, something about still not knowing wtf is going on with this imposter, though he seems to be quite the stud in the conspiracy department.. and that I soooo not getting Snape. That guy has it in for me... still adore Lucius though, he's sooo cute.
And well, Draco will get what's coming to him, in time ehehehehee

I definitely enjoyed that meeting between Harry and Severus. It definitely made me more forgiving that Severus was being a bit of an arse seeing as Severus KNEW that Harry was willing to give up his life, and did (even if he didn't die) during the war. And especially so since they were both missing the one thing the wizarding world can't give either of them. Although, is it just because of Snape's pride? Is he embarassed that Harry knows that Snape loved his mother, or is Snape really stuck on the whole Harry=James thing still? Very interesting. I still love Draco's sections. It is funny to read how he tells himself he is "letting himself" blush and nod and enjoy the moment with Harry, consciously. I'm really interested also in what you'll be doing with this imposter/doppleganger.

Oh dear, Harry fell headlong into it, didn't he?? But I got the uncanny feeling that he's going to prove a worthier opponent to Draco than he gives him credit for... even if it might be by default. eheheee And there goes Lucius' first attempt... well, I think that's going to turn a bit in time eheee, I adore Lucius, he's soooo cute! Again, I hope the move goes without a hitch and wish you well.

Sooo, are you still moving or postponed the move for the weekend of Aug. 15? Heck,
do like most people does nowadays...get your Mother, relatives, friends,
boyfriends/girlfriends and let them help...while you move the small stuff. :-)

    about #5...

What kind of torture are we talking here? The kind that involves whips & chains,
the psychological kind OR the famous ''I-now-have-you-wrapped-around-my-finger-SO
    tight-that-when-I-let-you-go-you'll-be-completely-DEVASTATED!!!!" *gasp*

    Is it that?

That little chase scene surprised me, and I had thought that it was a dream of Lucius's with the abruptness of it. In any case, nice job. I look forward to seeing Severus and Harry's meeting. Does he have no love for Harry at all during this story? I like how Harry showed his irritation at Draco, and was even more amused at Draco's inability to grasp the reasons for Harry's irritation, and his continued belief that Harry would later show himself to be arrogant and popularity driven, which of course he isn't.

    (Chapter 5)

Hmm...an interesting turn of events. I have a load of questions to ask, but I think I'll wait a couple more chapters to see what happens before I do. Good luck with moving, hope it won't be a traumatic experience, as is often the case, and hope your internet connection isn't too long in coming. Looking forward to the next update.

Lovely. I just finished reading 'Bloody but Unbowed' and I can see that that same level of writing has been applied to this story as well. I eagerly await your next update.

You know, I'm getting the feeling when you see me mention ''doing humorous/happy stories'', you really DO think I'm talking comedy.

NO! No way, you're too much of a serious writer to do something in
the vein of writing a ''laugh-til-you-fall-off-your-chair-onto-your-butt''
    story.

I'm mostly referring to what I've seen thus far in past stories. I've noticed
your SUBTLE sense of humor, whether it's witty sarcasm or just plain dry wit.

Now, THAT is something I like. When such ''humor'' hits you when you least
expect it, like your ability to use outrageous names for annoying characters, you
had did that in the ''A Potion named Desire'' series.

I think it was Mr. Porkface or something similar...

Did you realize you were doing that or does that type of humor for you just
    come out unexpectedly???

I know it does for me.

Anyway, not to beat a dead horse, but I was trying to show you I wasn't
talking COMEDY per se, just a story with a ''wicked sense of humor''.

    Get what I mean?

    about #4...

I starting to feel that Draco's ''obsession'' [or more like delusion] comes from
the fact he feels that it isn't fair that Harry was ''fawned over'' by the public
and friends and having the nerve to bask in it, while Draco endured the hardship
of being a Malfoy and the expected task that befell him at such a young age.

    Sounds childish...and delusional.

    He needs a wakeup call.

Huh.. Draco is so going to breack his perfect little nose when he take that particular fall. I can feel the excruciating anguish even from here, though haven't even written it probably.. it's like I can taste the impending drama on my tongue. Well, I love it.. I dig into you torturing the boys eheheee, but I think Lucius will be an ally to Harry in a most unexpected way, for both supposedly. I can't wait for the twists and turns you're going to make with this one!!
