I quite agree. the movie was good because of the way it ended. Its much like that with Remains of the Day. They loved each other, yet even at the end when they have a chance to set it right, he still can't bring himself to tell her. The story is, yes the more frustrating, but all the more powerful because of the unresolved tension and the sorrow we feel for the both of them. I really like movies like that and at the same time you cant help but hate them. Howards End was somewhat that way for a long while until the very end where there was a bit more of a happier resolution. (And Anthony Hopkins was in all three. :-) ) Another very good, yet sad movie, with an ending that seems unfair but was I believe based on a true story was Shawdowlands. It is again with Anthony Hopkins and is based on a part of the life of C.S. Lewis when he falls in love with a woman from America.....very good movie. It made me cry....Anthony Hopkins has a good cry in it too and that made me cry again. Anyway, Im sorry to hear your mother's health is ailing. I will pray for her and you as well. I look forward to your next chapter whenever it comes out. It is a wonderful story. :-)

*glares at the two wenches who have yet to update* It has been two days - TWO DAYS! - since I've read this fabulous story. And what thanks do I get for waiting two whole days for an update? *raises eyebrow* That's right; nothing. I shall expect an extra long chapter from the two of you post-haste. It would be very unwise to disappoint me. :D kidding. Wonderful job ladies! I hope you two can update soon. :D -- pee ess -- do you know a good beta I could solicit for my new plotbunnies?

best of luck for you mother. Having had sick parents for three years, both of them passing away in the last 12 months (one a few weeks ago) I totally know what you are going through.

It's always a treat to wait for your chapters so just a little more anticipation. Besides, this week we have elections to occupy us :-)))

I adored 84 CCR. Read it as a teen about 2o ish yrs ago and saw the movie. Just lovely.

(ps For what it's worth, I hope I don't have any 'what ifs' to dwell on with b84ccr)

so you're stopping at the bedroom door? And perhaps not revisiting until they are in love? But there's sex going on? OK, I know the questions will be answered. And I don't mind anyway. There's more to life than smut (omg did I say that out loud???)

And because I so adore the way you write.

    And bubble baths.

And slytherin defense mechanisms (well, clearly it's YOUR fault, inarticulate gryffindor??) LOL

Yes, you write love scenes and they are as funny as the real thing, full of missed cues, misinterpreted words and emotions as life. I loved this last chapter and will eagerly wait for more!
