This is at the same time gritty and sweet, and completely original. I love the Native American aspect, and above all, that Severus is the Man Who Lived.

I was so hoping that the nice looking man would turn out to be Antonia's brother. Joseph Pony and the werewolf sure seem to be getting cozy. Severus seems to have a soft spot for her too. Might we see some "fire works" when the fire works go off? Great writing!

I do love this story so. Sorry,I havn't been able to read for a while, and it has taken me several days of reading to catch up. I love all of the flashbacks. It really gives more insight into why Severus is Severus. I can't wait to find out all of Antonia's mysteries. Finally maybe he is reaching out to her. Can't wait to read more.

    (Chapter 10)

I liked the glimpses into Severus' everyday life, watching Stella and Char playin the water, lusting after Antonia when she joined them. His reaction to Joseph Pony's teasing. His consternation at Stella's question. And then came the scary part. The psychotic break and the memory of past horrors. You write this so well, fit the flashbacks in seamlessly. Well done. I liked this chapter very much.

I have just finished reading your other story from this AU, The Slytherin Redemption, and now this one as well, and I love them both. You are an excellent writer. I love the depth and breadth of your stories, I like that you do research. Your characters are complex and vividly written, even the OC's, which is quite rare. Your characterization of Snape is spot on. Great job, really. I am looking forward to an update.

    (Chapter 5)

Hmm....possibly Severus has met his match in the good Doctor? She sort of reminds me of Minerva McGonagall in that she seems to be pretty no-nonsense.

Even though he yelled at them both unfairly, Severus was at least aware enough of what he'd done to recognise it for what it is. It's both a bit strange, and yet heartwarming at the same time to read Severus calling Stella his daughter, for him to hold her hand, to smile at her.

They're all to live in a cottage within the compound, which has to be better for the children than living in a camper.

    Update soon please!

I am still very much enjoying your story. I like your portrayal of Snape. Stella seems like such a sweet child. She should be good for Snape. The boy seems like your typical smart ass kid. I like that he doesn't cower when Snape isn't so nice, just gets atitude, but doesn't seem to hold a grudge, and is humerous. It seems that both kids actually like him, and he just doesn't know how to handle that. His new boss seems as snarky as he is. Wonder how he will handle her. Were cyotes are interesting. Just wondering if there is anything up with the female one with her reaction to Snape. Update soon!

Awh, isn't that sweet. Severus let the little girl call him Daddy! Will we see more of the mousey waitress? It seems that maybe she needs someone as much as Severus does. Thanks for updating quickly. Keep it up, I am enjoying reading this story.

    (Chapter 3)

I love Severus' devotion to Joseph Pony and Stella, even though he really had no choice in taking them on. The scene with the waitress in the previous chapter, and Severus taking his leave from her at the beginning of this one was bittersweet, and I liked how it was written. When Severus returned to the children, and told Stella that he would never leave them no matter how angry he got, that he whispered it so only she could hear, and pulling her into his lap before tucking her back up, telling himself it was no more than he'd do for one of his Slytherins that was ill........that was so Severus......again, that begrudging devotion.....you just write him so excellently. And the ending.....that it would be "acceptable" for Stella (love that name btw) to call him "Daddy".....that was my favourite part. Bittersweet and touching. The whole chapter was just excellently written.

I love this story! I can't believe that you don't have more reviews. I am so mad at AFF because they took the Snape OFC catagory out. It was my favorite, now I really have to hunt to find them. I was just lucky to stumble across yours. I will have to make sure that I look for this one. I havn't read the other storys that you mention, so I hope that I didn't have to. So far the first three chapters don't seem like I had to. I hope that you are a quick updater!

    (Prologue, Chapters 1 & 2)

I've been reading and reviewing this story on FF.net, but yay!! I get to review it again here. This story is excellent, as is your characterisation of Severus. Because I already know a lot of the story, I'm afraid I'm going to inadvertently say something that will give parts of it away, and if I do, I apologise ahead of time. For now I'll just say this: When I first started reading this story, my very first thought was a doubtful Snape in America? I didn't know if I was going to like that, because it seemed so unlikely and because I simply couldn't imagine Severus Snape in this country. Well, needless to say, I love this story. Your writing is so fabulous and so believable that this seems like a natural progression (had the canon Snape lived, of course) of the canon story. I love how it brings to mind the canon story. How, once again, a reluctant Severus is charged with the well being of a child, two this time, stoically accepting the responsibility, even if it is against his better judgement. I'm looking forward to reading again what happens in forthcoming chapters, and enjoying this awesome story all over again.
