Ch. 14: I feel silly to write so little, but I simply loved this chapter.

I beg, on bended knee, if needs must, that you add me to your update list.

I started this way back when, well, you did, and after the first paragraph or so, I closed it up and put it away. I said to myself, 'well, now that's a well written one. Not much to it, yet, though, so best to put it away now and come back later.' I've been checking fairly often, but always, I set this one aside and move on because even then I knew that this would be one of the few stories that sucked you in. I could almost taste the heady flavor of prose well-loved and dished out like a feast for the literary palate.

To say that it's a 'good' story, would be doing you a disservice. To say that it is 'wonderful' discounts the pain and grief that it wrings from the soul. To say, though, that this story had shown your ability to know when and how to let the characters grow (on their own, no less!) may sound simplistic, but it's also the most true statement I can think of. Where so many others rush to get to the relationship, you have nurtured it. They have progressed at a natural rate and things aren't always smooth. Their arguments are believable, as are their separate moments of emotional revelations.

I love the interaction between Harry and Snape and though I found myself in a state of shock at Ron's untimely death, I feel that that loss has definitely helped them both set aside their near-violent animosity for one that can be tamed during the more introspective moments as well as have the fires of it fanned until it roaring once more when anger and rage are the emotions needed most.

I love Remus as well. I love his now active role in Harry's life and how he's finally taking a stand. I've always felt that he would have been great as a father figure for Harry. Of course, after just the books, I was also convinced that he and Sirius were together and felt utterly betrayed by JKR when he up and married (and impregnated) Tonks. I loathe her for killing him as well. I'll understand if you do, but I'll weep for days nonetheless.

Thank you for creating this world outside of a world where our boys can find some semblance of happiness together. I cannot wait to see where you go with this.

On that note, might I add, Draco Malfoy is splendidly cowardly as you have written him. I wait with bated breath to see him firmly trounced upon by all my favorite men (Bite him, Remus! Bite him!!).

Thank you again and please, add me to the email address.

Beautiful, just beautiful, and very touching. Your story is amazing, having recently lost a friend, I can tell you that you capture grief very well. I cannot wait to see your next update, and I hope that you continue to write such amazing works. Thank you for this, it truly brought tears to my eyes for the first time in a very, very long time.

I read through this whole story in one sitting, after happening upon it by random. Extremely pleased with how well this all seems to flow together, and how believable it is because you didn't simply up and change the way that anyone behaves, persay. Instead, there is a moment of mirror from the books, and the events as you create them allow such changes to be made in such a flawless manner it is quite remarkable. Excellent job thus far. I look forward to reading what's to come.

Sorry I took so long between this and my last review. RL needed attending to (real life not Remus Lupin)and I only just had time to sit down and finish reading.

O' the ANGST! I love it. Harry is finally dealing with his friend's death. He's had to grow up even more. Life seems determined to thrust maturity on him, but then he does have a fairly heavy job ahead.

I like how situation is dictating any personality changes in the characters (unlike some authors who just say 'this is my way, deal with it or leave') as the story progresses. While you may have a preconceived 'mold' for them, characters often have to be broken down a bit so they fit into the mold comfortably...or believably is more like it. I appreciate believability with lots of reason to explain it. Relationships between people need work and coaxing, you can't just throw two diverse personalities together and not expect them to clash horribly. (unless that's part of your plot!) The author must be a master manipulator (a' la Dumbledore *snicker*) to twist and bend a plot in a masterful manner to achieve the desired goal. Sometimes it's easier to work a story plot in reverse: "'This' is the end, now how could it have happened?"

Please continue writing and I will keep reading. Excellent work!
