Aww, Lucius is a manipulative sod, that's true, but one got to understand him-he's loved her, obsessed over her for so long and now she's back...but she hates him.

I don't think she'd be open to his courting anyways, and the man's desperate. he needs her, he loves her so much and binding her to him for forever and ever is the best solution in his mind. Dear stepson Draco is a darling!

By the way, my bunny is still waiting to hear from you :D

Wow, I'm almost torn...she he let her go or should she let the bonding go on?

I can understand Lucius' attitude. I mean he wanted to marry her in 1972 and then saw his father "kill" her. So he has grieved all those years to then find her alive as a child and have to wait for her to grow up. It must have been quite a shock. He needs to get a grip though and explain his feelings to her. Also, what is Hermione thinking and feeling? I'm getting nothing from her in this story. Did she love or care for the teenage Lucius. Can she reconcile that with the older Lucius. She can obviously see he still has deep feelings for her. But she doesn't try to speak to him about those feelings. She just keeps saying "Mr. Malfoy" and "I love Ron".

Quite frankly, in this version of your story, If I were Hermione there would be one very dead bridegroom, if I had to bribe a centaur to shoot him or poison his robes, Medea-style. And it would happen well before the ceremony to prevent problems. Although I am an arachnophobe, I might even consider feeding him to Aragog. He may still be sexy as hell, but his tactics are nothing short of revolting. I'm glad to see that Draco at least has sense enough to warn her that his father has problems, belated as it is. Good chapter!

You know to be honest. I kind of feel bad for Lucius. He's been consumed by the grief of loss for more than two decades. I can understand why he seems so frantic to bind Hermione to him. Great update, I can't wait to see how this all turns out.

Excellent. Lucius is being his true self, showing that Hermione is beneath him. I can't imagine how she will be treated once they are married, especially if he is like this now. I look forward to the next chapter.

Andromeda certainly stepped in and became an assertive chaperon. Lucius couldn't keep his hands or his lips off Hermione, which is no bad thing. How Hermione can remain unmoved is a puzzle?

Hehe... When I saw Only Time was updated I know it would only be a matter of time before this one was updated too -- so I've been refreshing the latest fics page until I saw it. *goes red* No, seriously though, I'm really enjoying both. I think on some level I like the dark Lucius more, despite the fact that it would probably only be a good trait in fiction...

    Malham Cove is absolutely gorgeous.

Ooh, obsessive, hormonal, barely-controlled Lucius! Love how you have Hermione so carefully controlling him with a touch. Rather like having a very large, nervous great dane under foot. And I love your Andromeda; almost like Molly, but more steely.
