Well, at least she's a pureblood, so he won't feel he's betraying his family in any way. This was a great chapter, I loved Ginny's reactions to Sev's writing, and as he has no reason to lie, I think his book will be like a bombshell dropped into the wizarding world. Ever consider that for your next project? "I, Snape" could make even JK sit up and take notice!

I am so loving this story! Just kinda stumbled upon it a couple of days ago and it is so damn good. I always enjoy reading marriage law fics cos they hold so much potential and this has to be one of the best I've read.

Granted, I am crying out for some fun conjugal visits but that snippet of solo Severus definitely helped. It's just building the anticipation for a high level of hotness. I am enjoying the slow build of their relationship , peeling away the layers of the onion that is Severus. That tall, dark sexy onion you just want to lick... ok, eww, but you know what I mean!

Anyhoo, brilliant fic and I can't wait for more.

You're right, it's impossible to cover religion and moral dilemma in one conversation. That is why there are people who make it their lifes purpose. And even they often struggle with it and don't find a satisfying answer. I should know, one a good friend of mine is a catholic priest - and let's just say he hasn't been very happy with his church (well okay, the pope to be more specific) lately.

Their conversation does add a lot to your story, though, and that's why I'm glad they were having it!

Severus writing a book is a great idea, I wonder how it will be perceived. It could be therapeuthic for him... Although he probably has some way to go, right?

I wonder how Hermione will deal without her potion... It can't be easy for her, right? She's not a weak person, if she developed an addiction in first place, then she certainly needed help. But now she has Severus... Sight...

As someone who does practice a faith I just wanted to let you know that I was in no way offended by this chapter. If fact I thought it was written with intelligence and I could tell that you have respect for other faiths and beliefs. If you do get flamed I will be very suprised. Great work as always and I am looking forward to seeing Hermonies and Sevs relationship develop.

Ah-ha... I have my first real complaint, though it is really not a strong one. It seems to me that you have forgotten that you are an author and not a life commentator. A part of our job is to strike out the parts that are unnecessary to the plot. Unless you have a clear way to make this conversation important later, then it was a boring scene. No offense. We know who Snape is, we know his character as you have already established. We didn't need insight this deep. If you needed a way to get him to write the book, a more concise version of this conversation would have sufficed.

That said, it was still very well written. Snape is a very fantastic character of your creative liberty. Also, the religious content seemed sound to me. I love the way you tie our muggle world in with their wizarding world. The religious link has always been a curiosity of mine that I have never been as brave to tackle. Neither was J.K.R. it would seem. Then again, maybe she just didn't find it necessary.

I feel for you. I think you're gonna get a load of complaints about this chapter. I still loved it though. Do continue!!!!!!

I have to be honest before I start - I misread a line and had a great image of Severus 'rocking and rolling' up a hill... lmao!

Anyway - great chapter as always. And Snape with the writing bug? We know how that feels, right?

Severus strikes me as a Minerva-worshipper (no pun intended): Intellect, cold passion, war and espionage, logic, strategy, knowledge as applied in the real world, pragmatism in the extreme. She was also rather touchy and had no sense of humor (remember what she did to Arachne?). He had to be under sombody's aegis to have survived, after all. His memoir will be a best-seller, that's for sure.

Sniggering, "Your Muggle is showing ..."

    Quite right.

    Severus the theologian is fascinating.

Won't discuss religion either. Learned that EARLY in life. Religion and politics were always two topics of conversation that ALWAYS ended up with drunks yelling at each (or worse) in the family's bar.

Swinging my Terrible Towel in wild circles. Here we go, Steelers!

I'll be interested to see where you take the theological debate next.

So, Severus is getting it out of his system and Hermione is ready to get a life. For her to be only slightly concerned that something could be interfering with the running of *their* business is reason for hope.

    Things are looking up, then?

Brilliant point about wizarding culture. I had always wondered why Muggle-borns just get tossed into Diagon Alley and are told to float or sink. There should be a class for all of them at least from first to third year.

    Great Job!
