"They were English, for God's sake!" Oh gods, that's TOO funny! Glad to see Sev has some serious leverage here, for her sake. No one else is going to be able to make this stick, and she needs someone to tell her what's what. I love this.

Really, really, really strong. My vocabulary before I had small children as my primary job and companions was so much more impressive. I trust you are not in need of liquid sunshine to feel proud of your accomplishments on this story and of your writing skills in general.

The Higgens Boat Factory. That's what the place was. Higgens Boats, how could I forget? And before I forget another gem, if you haven't already made arrangements for NOLA, try going the week before Mardi Gras weekend. I was going back in my early 20s, and I didn't mind paying $2 for the city-provided Port-O-Lay (porta-potty for the Yankees) because a large local and his big friends had set up a "fee"....but all that nonsense plus no place to sit in bars and no nice places to eat would really drag on me these days, 15 years later. Not to mention fighting for beads and whatnot. Go the weekend before and get your pick of the place, seriously.

    Cheers!

I do like this story, but I wanted to suggest something regarding your treatment of mental illness. The commonly accepted way of referring to the condition formerly known as "Manic-Depression" is now "Bipolar Disorder." It's both more accurate and less stigmatized. Fun Fact: In some circles, what might be known as Major Depression is called "Unipolar Depression."

Your treatment of Hermione's symptoms of depression was relatively thorough, though I am skeptical of her "recovery," especially since it seems to be a consequence of the circumstances. The data indicate that, although Major Depression can be acute, very long-term active periods such as Hermione describes are more likely to be part of a recurring depressive cycle

This chapter left me wallowing in "if onlys". If only he could let down his guard and express himself better. If only she could let down her guard and let herself express half her thoughts. If only one of them would slip and let their true thoughts flow. If only he had reacted differently when they woke up. If only she didn't over think every darn thing. If only...

Oh well. I look forward to seeing what you have planned for the next chapter. I can think of loads of things I have wanted since chapter 2. lol Thank you.

Oh my... They are in deep! The way they don't realise that the other has feelings for them makes my heart hurt! How can two intelligent people like them be so stupid when it comes to questions of the heart? How can they be so ignorant? They are so lovely when they just forget assuming about each others feelings for once.

Sometimes I think you should just give intelligent people a switch to turn off their brains. Constructed for situations like that only! Stupid Hermione! Stupid Severus! Hell, they are so perfect for each other why don't they just see it? Goodness!

    Lovely update(s)!

This chapter had me in a panic, trying to figure out what was happening. I was quite literally on the edge of my seat, first with excitement and then worry. The first kiss (that Snapes_Goddess so delicately manipulated out of you I

So I have been reading this story for a while and I just haven't reviewed on it...I know shame on my part but I promise to review from here on out...It's a shame what our own insecurities and self-esteem problems can do to us...Like with Hermione in this chapter...She took the anti-depressants after she was having a perfectly good evening with Severus simply because she doubted herself...Oh what a different world it would be if everybody just had a little fuck it in their system and did what they wanted...enough of my tirade lol...this story is so excellent and i love how each chapter title is in latin...how very clever and scholastic of you lol i'm itching for sumthin a little more between the two but the kiss in this chapter was an excellent start!! great update and i can't wait to see what you have planned next

Oh, this is bad! One kiss turns into panic attack into drug interaction into medical emergency. Nasty way to spend New Year's eve. Well, at least he gets to take care of her for a change.

Damn, that one hit close to home. I unfortunately know the effects of true anxiety attacks. Wouldn't wish them on anyone. So, I take it that little potion of hers is the Wizarding world's equivalent of Xanax? I'll be surprised if she even remembers that fabulous kiss. Go write, faster!
