Sinfully isn't the word I would have used--more like welcome, warm, comforting, arousing, etc. Her mind is falling easily into these reveries it seems. Is someone really trying to kill Lucius already, or was that just a distraction. Hermione, please keep more focused--you can't have him if he's back in Azkeban, or dead. Excellent chapter, Phoenix. Well written and full of new information.

Nothing like a good scare to get the old adrenaline pumping! Not that we need it with Lucius around, though. Yay! I love it when you update!

Ahg, brain meltdown! I doubt you'd do this to us, but what if it's Narcissa? She could be possessed, could be some type of active horcrux, or could just hate Lucius for the death of her beloved Liren, who gave her the elf?

Awesome story! I think that woman with Lucius's brother is probably Narcissa. Once he got rid of Lucius, he'd probably take over as Lucius with her by his side. But of course I might be wrong, anyway can't wait for the next chappie so update soon!

I'm glad Lucius and Hermione's thoughts are turning to one another, but there's still potential for the real killer to swoop in at any moment and sever them eternally. The tension is building and because you've not yet exposed Liren completely, I wonder if it's not Liren at all, but the Dark Lord animating Liren's body. See how you've got me questioning my own conclusions? Now _that's_ great writing! I'm on the edge of my seat.

You do realize that Liren is also following Voltaire's reasoning? His method of seduction is to use murder as the lure to Lucius' destruction. I would have preferred quoting Mussolini: "If you are going to kill someone, it costs nothing extra to be polite." Maybe I'm starting to think too much like Liren. Brrr.

Ack!! I miss a few chapters because of RL obligations and what do you do? Put plot revelations on the front burner!! Not only do we see it actually is Liren who's doing the murders, but now he has his sights set on Hermione. How did Liren survive unknown for all those years? Somehow I see the Dark Lord's influence in this. Your writing is amazing, how well the paragraphs flow into a symphony of chords played both in order and simultaneously. I'm enjoying this story very much, will be sad to see it end. But can't wait to get to the good parts of Hermione and Lucius together!

*grins* Yeah, I know people who swear coffee is the blood of life. My brother's *kids* know not to disturb Daddy until after his first cup, and they knew that before *kindergarden*! He says something blunt in the morning, he'll stop, look at his cup and say "Need more coffee" before hunting up another pot.

*snerks* I keep saying it, but you keep dangling more plot in front of me and I wanna see *more*!!!!

Our villian obviously never heard the adage 'what goes around, comes around'. This is a high-stakes game he plays; if he loses, Lucius will come out looking better than ever. If he wins, his proclivities must be buried deep (no pun intended, sorry) before he can rise from the dead. And if Narcissa is involved, the stakes are even higher, if he actually cares about her.

Awwww! I was so looking forward to Lucius' diatribe. However, I think the one large looming word can go over just as well. Eee! I hope Arabella doesn't get killed. I'd be bummed. Good thing Hermione was with Draco. oooh I'm getting nervous about how this is going to end. Lucius should have just sent a magical bomb to the Prophet. Never did much like them. I guess I hold grudges though.
