I've read most of your work, though I tend not to review. I'm trying to change that trend. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I think this story has the potential to end up in my list of favorites, along with a few of your other works. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

Wow. Snape has finally gotten over his self assumptions again and started to reassess Harry's situation without prejudice. Its been a while since he tried to connect with Harry. I'm glad he's falling out of that pattern. Although too little to late. I think he's right and Harry will definitely hate him now if he exposes his home life.

Also, I'd just like to say that I love how the occulmancy scene turned out. Snape was a product of abuse and in the original book he blatantly disregarded Harry's situation in the lessons. I can't wait for the next chapter.

    Keep up the great work!

    Oh...my...God!!! :-D

Out of this WHOLE chapter, the part I liked the most [...the chapter WAS good
by the way...] was when Severus was pacing around, ''like a child'' I might add, and practically whining about how Harry doesn't appreciate him.

THEN, just when you THOUGHT the boy was 30 mins. or more late, it was five minutes???

A WHOLE damn five minutes!!! Good grief... :-)

Anyway, I'm glad Severus FINALLY got a clue on Harry's situation, I'm just surprised
the professor let Harry get away with that F-- Y--. I know I would have put him in
    check just a little bit.

PS-what exactly is the livelongandmarry community??? Is that something you created?
I noticed you do stories based on what someone requests from the LJ community.

Honestly, this chapter was really breaking my heart as I read it, and I don't mean that lightly. Besides the abuse, the contradictions this whole situation brings is rather sad and upsetting. Where at first Draco is a bit upset at Harry for glaring and laughing with Ron (though with Severus' constant reminders and stabs at Harry's character it is no wonder), and then is he is upset that Harry cannot contain his wish to look at Draco (though this is after the summer, and also Draco admits to being happy that he knows Harry's true feelings). And then another time when Draco is jealous of Harry for being able to go back with his Muggle family (and again, I do understand that Draco had a right to dread his return), but then after he passes the initial discussion with his father, Draco admits that Harry's summer will be rougher. For a moment, when reading Harry's point of view, I had believed that he didn't win the third task on purpose, because he said that this is how he and Draco had planned it (I do understand now that he meant that as an overall term to convince everyone of their "hatred" for each other), but then Draco admitted to being disappointed in Harry. I don't know, I am glad that Severus now knows about Harry's abuse and neglect and starvation. But somehow, goodness, you took the situation in Harry's perspective and made it even more worthy of sympathy in Severus' as he mocked him over thinking of nothing but food. Anyways, I am also glad for Lucius and how Draco was able to fool him. I had imagined him angier over being impotent, and having his son "betray him" even for a moment, but I'm glad for that. You've done such a tremendous job with this chapter, especially with Harry's point of view. As a complete 180 of what Severus thinks of Harry, that Harry wouldn't even allow himself to complain even for a moment, absorbed Draco's talk of his mother rather than only thinking of his jealousy of Draco (because he believes Draco has it harder because he won't believe that he has it ALL that bad)... I don't know how you do it, but... In any case, this was a very well-written chapter.

about the story [though I'm halfway through it]...

After a brief hiatus from this section, I'm back seeing interesting things
written. One of them is this...

Burning question...now I've asked this of you in the past and you expressed
NON-interest. I have asked would you ever do Harry & Draco in their teen years
and you felt you couldn't dig deep in their psyche at that age.

    What changed?

But, for what it's worth, this IS good thus far...for someone who couldn't get
into a teenager's head much less a young teen.

    PS-oh yeah, I forgot...How are you doing? :-)

I dear, I wanna cry for my sad little Harry, really *drops tear* cause while Dumbledore really got his butt up this time and told of the things he should have waaaaay before and he escaped from Voldy again (sans some very important facts though) but still, no good for our Harry. His set of mind doesn't really please me all that much, it's dangerous.

That was a great chapter. But when will we find out what Seamus is hiding and what was he afraid of when Harry said "people like you".

Excellent job. Sorry I haven't been reviewing, but I have been very busy lately, and just haven't had the time to read anything much less review. Thank you for posting these wonderful chapters.

I loved Harry's getaway and his revenge on Lucius! Now that he can no longer reproduce, it looks like Malfoy is going to have to make some effort to keep Draco alive in order to preserve the bloodline. (Not that it matters seeing as whom Draco chose for a life mate. lol)

    Keep up the great work!

lol. I didn't mean to frighten you or anything with that recent review. I was just feeling silly and pumped up from the last chapter. I am not liking the idea that Draco will go back to Lucius. Not at all. I just hope that Lucius can be fooled, but with Lucius' own frustration with his impotency, I'm not sure it will matter. Draco will be harmed one way or the other, and I can't help but think of Dobby's punishment. I'm at least glad that Draco knows that Harry knows that Draco didn't mean to give Harry a Portkey. Then at least Draco knows Harry isn't being truthful about his upcoming hatred. Here lies the chapter of truly lost innocence where the two can just chat and Draco can be marvelled by Harry's smiles. And that is truly heartbreaking. Not that I don't enjoy that instead of wringing Lucius' neck you've made him impotent. Because THAT is just fabulous. I like it almost better that Draco didn't go off saving Harry, which he couldn't have done. That Harry hear that Lucius was bragging is so much more lovely. Wonderful chapter.

Whoah! I did not expect that last part. Probably because you stuck to the book relatively close.

I absolutely love your Draco. In a lot of fics Draco tends to be 'perfect' in lies and deceiving and whatever and here it shows that he still has much to learn, which I think makes it more realistic.
I tend to switch between liking Snape to wanting to smack him to make him see what he's doing and these last few chapters it's been stuck on wanting to smack him.
I actually think your Harry is more real than JKR's because I find it kind of weird that the fact he slept in the cupboard under the stairs for 10 years (which I think is an obvious sign of child neglect) doesn't show in his personality at all.

All in all I love it and hope you update soon :) (I apologize for my bad grammar, I hope you could figure out what I meant)
