    This is sounding very promising.
What struck me the most, especially during the Harry POV was the desolation this very young Harry must have been feeling when treated like an outcast, or rather a menace. Even though the same happened in canon, I never felt it as distinctly as here.

Yep, if you want something done the way it has to be, do it yourself!
Oh right, yeah, hi... I'm not dead. Surprise! Maaaaaan, this is the first of a long row of comments, that are still on my sleeve for all the chapters you wrote while I was too occupied to read, but I promise, I'm not quiting. *g* It might take a while, but I'm back in the game and you'll get all your comments for sure.
Still, this new one is very interesting, I can't wait to see the next chapter!! I feel with Harry though.. poor sod!

As sad, indignant, and protective (of a fictional character) this is making me, I'm so looking forward to this fic. It is awesome that you are doing a Hogwarts era story, as I completely adored your one-shot.

My heart really went out for Harry in the first bits of this story, that Seamus would have done such a thing to a boy that didn't own many things to begin with is horrible. I'm really glad for Hermione and Ron's full support here as well, despite it being their second year.

Snape's point of view is pure awesomeness. I love that you have him recognizing his own Slytherins' lack of taste in humor, and that have him and Draco be the ones to get him out of this rut. This is such an early time for him to be getting such hatred (not that he didn't get some in the books), so it makes it all the worse. Awesome first chapter. Merry Christmas! (Happy Holidays!)

Oh goody, a Hogwarts era story from you. I don't think I've ever read one from you before, and I'm really excited. I like how far back you're going in retelling Harry's story and your plans/the premise sounds really intriguing. Poor thing, what will he do without his photo albus, Cloak, and Firebolt! I can definitely see things going down like this after the dueling incident, and Seamus was the perfect Judas since he seemed to have a general distrust of Harry during his roughest spots in the books. I really like your Snape. I love how you're keeping Ron and Hermione close to him...but I'm really curious about Draco. I wonder how he plans to "do it himself" if Snape's intervention/detention doesn't bring Harry back to himself. I can't wait to see how you develop this one. Great opening!
