The ending was perfect; I'm glad you had Draco and Lucius re-unite; I would love to see more... perhaps a sequel; thanks for sharing!

    (Epilogue)

Oh no! The thanks and praise all goes to you, TambraWhoIsIndeedGreat, for sharing your stories with us all. All hail the Master!

This was the perfect ending to a perfect story. It is difficult to catalogue all the emotions and feelings this story took me through, and isn't it funny how a story can affect a person so much?! I laughed, but mostly I cried because I truly felt for Lucius, through all his agony, despair, desperation, and grief. His love for Severus...the raw, bittersweet beauty of it was heartwrenching, the veracity and scope of it was breathtaking, and Oh my God, don't we all wish for a love like that! To know we are loved through anything, no matter what?! The best thing about all your stories, but this one in particular, is that you always show your characters as complete people, the bad with the good; Lucius doing his duty by Narcissa, yet waiting for her to die so that he could, in a sense, live, his seemingly harsh treatment of Draco, his resentment and apparent selfishness when he found Severus was married and he thought he was too late. But then you go and show the good and human side of a character that is usually considered evil; his remorse over the way he treated Will, his befriending of Man, his acceptance and love for Eir, his reconsiliation with Draco. And through it all, his undying love for Severus. God, I LOVE this story!!! This is the sort of story you come back to again and again, and I know it will make me cry again everytime, but that's okay, a good thing, cause that's what a classic should do, and this is nothing if not a classic. Again, it was an absolute pleasure for me to "red mouse", and OMG woman, will you start writing real books already?!?! In the meantime, I look forward to the next fanfic gem to flow from your fingertips, and to gloating because I get to see it first!

"Home Again" - Oh, what a LOVELY lovely chapter! I really enjoyed it. It was so well written, with moving descriptions - my heart ached when Severus said he was sick of being the last resort. Just wonderful. And, yes, please, more! Looking forward to the epilogue already!

I think *sniff* that this is *sniff* my all-time favourite *sniff* story EVER!! No matter how many times I've read this last chapter, and it's been a few, it brings me to tears everytime. So touching and beautiful, I love your Lucius, the depth of his love for Severus, I love your writing, so evocative and poignant. I love how you take characters that we usually either think the worst of, or barely think of at all, and weave these beautiful, touching, and totally believable lives for them. You write the best Lucius. You write the best stories, and I will say it again, it's a real honour, and a pure pleasure, for me to beta for you. I can't wait to see the epilogue.

    (Chapter 7)

Have I told you lately how much I love this story? This chapter took me on a veritable roller coaster of emotions. There were so many thing I loved in it, and so many things that made me sad It was heartwarming to see the transformation in Lucius and I loved his dreams of what he could have been. His adopting Man, or rather, Man's adoption of him, was so poignant, it showed another very human side of Lucius. Those events were beautifully written but they also made me feel a bit sad for Lucius....that he had to wait so long, until his adult life to feel these particular pleasures. And oh....he found Severus! But oh....too late. I wept for him, I really did, to have hoped and wanted for so long, to have travelled so far.. Please let it be a happy ending! And please, write it soon! I can't stand not knowing!

Really sorry I didn't stumble across this story earlier - I'm up to chapter six and in love with the evocative descriptions and beautiful turns of phrases you use to bring the situations to life. You do a glorious job, making Lucius a sympathetic character, without turning him into a pathetic mess! I just want to stand back and applaud in awe and wonder at the amazing job you've done - and are still doing. I'll wait for chapter seven with patience - not because I don't want to read the next chapter, but because I know RL can be a bitch and I want to read another glorious chapter that has been carefully constructed, not rushed out to appease us greedy readers! Selfish I know, but hey! So, bascially I'm saying update when it's done, which I'd like to be soon!

    (Chapter 6)

As always, it was a pleasure to wield my red mouse.

I'm of two minds....I want to know the ending, I want Lucius to find Severus, and for them to have a happy ever after, yet, I don't want the story to end! Lucius and Severus' last intimate encounter.....bittersweet and poignant, and I choked up. I so love the way you write these two. And Severus telling Lucius he loved him....and Lucius dismissing it as falsehood....even though they both knew it to be true....and reciprocal. This story is so heartwrenching, so well written, so.....tragic. I love it.

Excellent story, made me think about what had happened in Lucius early life to have made him want to be a deatheater, nothing is ever black or white. Well done, very thought provoking and believable.

Indeed. If phrases such as "The hands that held him gave him something, sweet, dark, like love in a dilapidated mill.." and "Need, hate, and lust glimmered like daggers, sharp and painful love.." are thwarting the complexities of the English language, I not only appreciate your willingness to do so, I applaud it and most heartily encourage you to continue. Your descriptions of Lucius' feelings for Severus.....well, let's just say that I am both sighing in literary ecstacy and green with envy at the same time over your way with words. Please, hurry with the next chapter. This story is addicting and I need my fix.

Oh. My. God! This is so hauntingly beautiful in all its angsty glory that words fail me.

I loved it that it was Narcissa who finally put Abraxas in his place. And the final confrontation between Lucius and Abraxas was exactly how I've imagined it to be. And Draco's estrangement from Lucius was heartbreaking.
And the romance between Lucius and Severus! I love the powerplay between them, I love Severus' attitude towards Lucius' blatant obsession and... I love everything about it!

And your use of language! Every word is just so well thought out. The floor/not floor that was more mud than pure was an absolute stroke of brilliance!

(Sorry, this has left me totally incoherent :) )

Oh, the tears were streaming when I proofed this chapter! Excellently written---the bit with Draco was just heartbreaking, and the whole rest of it was heartwrenching. You have such a way with words. I've enjoyed everything you've written, all your other stories, but this one....your writing in this one is so evocative. As I've said, you've moved me, literally, to tears. I can't wait for more.
