I think this is beyond a doubt my favorite story you have written so far. I read this in one day and could not stop. You are incredibly gifted. I appreciated the time you took to develop each of the characters and weave in their stories. I know you put a disclaimer at the beginning mentioning the characters would not be cannon, but I think you did a miraculous job keeping them in cannon with the situations. I truly believe that if they had each been through what you put them through, they could feasibly have reacted exactly as you made them. That's not true with mot Hermione/Lucius fanfiction. Keeping Lucius powerful and allowing his personality quirks to shine through despite his reformed views of morality made him sooo much sexier and fun to read! I truly hope to read more work like this from you in the future - I am very impressed. I know you mention on your blog that you have or had a story you were trying to publish and I can only wish you luck in publishing it. I'm sure you don't need luck though, your skill speaks for itself. Oh and I don't tend to like stories where Lucius and Hermione have a son, but it worked so well here and how could anyone possibly not love Elias?

Thank you for a wonderful story!

    Best,
    PhoenixCG

Loved it! And I think it is the first story I have read that casts Lucius in a solely positive light once he is with Hermione (even before that, he was reacting to grief, not being a creep). Your Draco was great and it seemed as though LM's humanity spread to his son as he was able to allow himself to feel deeper also. I was kind of expecting to see Jessa spending Christmas with them, "as part of the family". Thank you for the hours of enjoyable reading and sharing your talents with us. p

I hate when Snape dies in a story, even avoiding some that say he is going to in the summary. I am really glad that I did not know it was going to be a part of this story as I would have missed out on a very enjoyable read (like all of yours have been so far). Does Jessa know that Draco is Snape's Godson? That is kind of weird, huh? Reading on... p

Lucius had a point. I don't think that I could have listened to Molly without getting upset and I was not a deatheater so he apparently has more control of himself than Molly does of her mouth. It seems as though they could have waited until LM, HG and son left before they talked about him. It was really heartening that you had Ron take responsibility for pushing Hermione away and leaving her with no support. That bothered me when his mother was running her mouth. p

Uh Oh, was Jessa getting ready to say potion? That would mean she either has connections in the witch world or that she has had contact with one. Could she be the one that Draco ended up with after his dad went to prison. Maybe not because then she would have recognized Lucius as being connected somehow as they have a very similar, if distinctive, appearance. Loved it. p

    5. It is admirable that LM was concerned about the possiblity of hurting Hermione, but I would be willing to bet that he hurt her far worse by sending her away. Especially when he saw what he had done and that she was confused and needy also. I am not sure how I feel about him having sex with her. She thinks it was not rape, but what choice did she really have when she was innocent and it happened so fast that she literally did not know what hit her. It was just unfortunate all the way around, I guess. Excellent Chapter. p

Don't you ever wonder how the Weasleys can talk about how they wanted Hermione in their family and thought she would end up with Ron, but leave her floundering after the war? I wonder if they blew Harry off or if they embraced him. Sorry but Ron (and his judgemental mother) gave up the right to criticize when they turned their back on her. I know that they were dealing with their own feelings but she should have been included just as any of the kids were. p

Excellent story. Not helping my sleep patterns as it is so good. It is not surprising that Hermione felt as she did when Lucius gave Elias corrections as she has fought to give her son a home and I am sure feels more than terratorial where he is concerned. Looking forward to seeing where this goes. p

OMG! I fell in love with the writing, had to read all the way to the end in one night! It was lovely, it was true to the characters (or the characters as I choose to see them). You have do such a wonderful job of building this story that I hae decided to stop cruising the HG/SS site and wonder through the rest of you stories. This one here was such a treasure to find, touching me emotionally, and giving me an escape when I so need one from work and life right now. Thank You!!

This was an entirely charming story, and I've thoroughly enjoyed reading it to the exclusion of everything else over the past few hours (even unto the wee small hours of the morning). Your timeline was excellently plotted to side-step an exploration of the depths of Lucius' bigotry, so that he is already a nascently changed man from the outset. Elias is spectacular, and I imagine you had tremendous fun coming up with his malapropisms, at least as much fun as I had in reading them.

I am rereading this story here, and I have to say that I have literally laughed out loud so many times at Elias' words and antics. Do you have a lot of children or a lot of nieces and nephews? Because it is hilarious, and you have it so perfectly. Children will say the darndest things at times. The eat a whore instead of eat a horse ... calling Draco Dildo Malfoy ... the bawdy limerick and the bathroom bushes break ... oh my gosh. I have laughed do hard during this entire story with Elias around, but this chapter cracked me up MULTIPLE times. I love your stories, and they are ones that I reread constantly.
