Wow, just wow. Your writing continues to astound me. I am not a backdoor person, but you even made that yummy and beautiful. I once again bow to your superior skills. :-) The two of them exploring one another's psyches while trying to honestly get to know one another is lovely and fun to see. Their newly accepted love makes me smile. Thank you! HG4eva

Oh, the last pic on your site didn't show...

ch 52 (okay, I'm pretty sure this board ate my two previous attempts at leaving a review for this chapter) It was good to see the growth in their marriage. Little things like Hermione not minding that Cissa worked with Lucius, open communication, affection without resentment... I'm glad you took time to build up and develop their relationship! BTW, who will be the new Headmaster and will the Snapes return to Hogwarts next year? Cissa needs meaningful activity during her days. Thanks for the new chapter!

Sweetie, this was a heartfelt chapter. My heart leapt for joy as Lucius and Hermione talked everything out, explaining how they felt and that they loved each other. I think everything is coming together beautifully. You even had Lucius and Crookshanks come to an understanding. LOL My only distress is that since all the loose ends are being tied up. It means your story is coming to an end. I

Loved it! I love the part of Lucius and Crookshanks bonding. And the part where Lucius told Hermione that Severus is going to be the twins godfather. Looking forward to reading the next part!

Okay, I apologize for being M.I.A. and going back on my word of being a faithful reviewer: life called for my devout attention for a few days. On to the reviewing! Lucius taking a Cruciatus Curse for Hermione and the twins, without even pausing to consider what curse would be thrown, was such a touching moment that spoke volumes, as did Hermione's careful care of him after the incident. I wondered if Hermione would continue to doubt Lucius' feelings for her after that mishap, but I was filled with warm and gooey feelings at their confession of their love for each other, even if they were punctuated with a witty remark here and there. I like that Drace showed concern for his father and gratitude towards Hermione for her care of him, it showed a more mature accepting side to him. And I'd read your response on my review on LiveJournal, and indeed, I did not stop to consider the young witch's grasp on reality before I launched into my rant (which is strange, as I usually try to consider all possible factors before deciding on an opinion.). Perhaps I was that agitated at the issue. And the 'promotion of veiled ignorance' comment was a reference to poor Ms. Burbage's misguided attempt to get revenge on those who killed her mother by turning the Wizarding world against purebloods, and again, at the time, I didn't think about her sanity, or lack thereof. I felt strongly about that issue, though.

I looked at your picture of Lucius Malfoy and quite frankly I was not amused. Why was there a bloody towel in the way? Hmm. It was lovely but would have been even lovelier if we'd been treated to The Fully Monty. Anyway how nice that they've declared their love for each other at last. But really...... Hellcat Hermione's not really a heroine. I mean I know it was a dirty job bathing Lucius but someone's got to do it. He does speak so nicely and warmly to her now. It gives me delightful shivers. Good to see both him and Draco so affected by Charity's death. OK...directions by broom from Hogwarts to my place. Head straight down to Scottish/English border. Pick up M74, then M6 then M65. Head to Burnley, then Todmorden and then turn off towards Rawtenstall. I will have laid out my washing on the lawn to read "You found me Big Boys".Weather has picked up. We're a balmy 23C today. Best wishes, Love Ali xxxxxx.

Awww....heart-warming goodness. Of course little Dragon was affected by the death of Charity Burbage. I think it was one of his harshest wake-up calls, if I may safely say so. And I do so love Lucius' new-found fondness for Crookshanks. What a cutie. It takes a real man to get along with a cat (or a half-Kneazle.) I'm glad you took my suggestions for an epilogue to heart. It makes me warm inside.

Hermione, the little demoness, has been exploring little warm dark places she should do well to ask for permission before entering. Although the mental picture of Lucius screaming like a girl is intriguing. Perhaps I'll hold onto that for....later. Anyhoot! We got some real emotional connection here. So he married her for the sex. *shakes head* That silly man. If he needed a hellcat in bed, he should have only asked. I would have more than willingly volunteered my virginity for the job. That seems to be the only way it's going to go anywhere. *sigh* Well, I can't wait for more, and I enjoyed what we got. ^_^

I'm fascinated by your realistic take on the relationship between former spouses. Having been married, Narcissa and Lucius have a certain bond, and have memories together that won't simply be erased, and it's great to see Hermione learning that, and accepting it.

Ya know, I would love to be able to write a wonderfully long and insightful review, but...well, quite frankly the only thing I can think to say after reading it twice is...it's about DAMN time!! I'm proud of Luc for finally garnering a little residual Griffyndor courage and telling Hermione the truth. I'm sure it was hard for him to admit that his feelings were so strong but he's lucky enough to have an amazing woman who will not throw that away. So....do we get to be there for the birth?????

PS....I'm reading The Wedding right now and really loving it!! :)
