Yay! A real conversation, and that dreaded word! I wanted to applaud them. Instead I applaud you. Yay!

ch 51 - ahh, they finally talk about everything! I hope he does get away with not telling her the real reason severus and he grabbed her contract; that's history by now. They've both said they love each other, and the age difference doesn't matter to them; that's what counts. I really appreciated what Lucius said to Hermione: "You and I are very alike... We both go after what we want, using what we have in the way of intelligence, persistence, and a dash of pure devil... We are both leaders.

Ahh, hello! I know, it's been quite a long while. I haven't been reading for a while because of a number of reasons, first it was because someone was hacking into our internet and using up all our quota, so we couldn't use the net at all unless it was for super important stuff like paying bills, uni stuff etc. And then after that was fixed and over all of my assignments stared coming in... this is the first time I've had a breather in weeks. However, I'm probably not going to be able to read this again for a few more weeks because my exams start in a week.

Anyway, about what I've just read. I'm very happy about Harry coming into the story. I don't much like Harry in the books but I do like grown up mature Harry very much. It's so wonderful that I come back to the story and the mystery is solved and they finally tell each other that they love one another! I did not suspect the parchment at all, that was clever :)

Can't wait to read the rest of it!

I believe, once Lucius is feeling up to it, that Lucius deserve to be spanked for making us wait so long to confess his true feelings.

At least they actually started talking, that's a good chapter, LaBib. So, what happened when Draco tried to lick the ointment off his finger? I'm joking. Can't wait for your epilogue. How many of those slanderous School Governors are going to be looking for jobs when Lucius trashes their investments? Sorry if this is random, but I'm typing on only one cup of coffee.

Hi Labib. What's this about epilogues? Surely we're not at that stage in the story already are we? Anyway, I too felt profoundly upset when I read of Charity Burbage's death in canon. The helplessness of both the victim and the onlookers must have been horrific. Does she appeal to Severus in canon to help her or do I read so much fanon that I'm getting mixed up? Perhaps that's why I was a little surprised at why he hexed her whilst he was guarding her. This is also why I felt a modicum of sympathy for Desdemona but of course it does not condone her actions by threatening Hermione and Cissy. And wasn't Lucius a hero! Must be the most selfless thing he's ever done. OK .....if I must address the epilogue then it's on MY terms. Lucius and Severus get fed up with their harpies of wives and come and spend the rest of their days pleasuring me. Whaaaaat! Don't you agree? Best wishes, Love Ali xxxx.

Oh my! You had me on the edge of my seat. I happen to have been quite affected by the death of Charity Burbage. I remember reading it, and thinking about how truly sick Voldemort was. Even if someone had wanted to save her...they couldn't. THey would have been killed immediately for interfering, and then two lives would have been lost. Everyone was operating under the Slytherin mentaility of 'he who doesn't meddle today, manages to live another day.' And no one could blame them.

Poor Lucius. I was intrigued by your use of the cruciatus. I was under the impression that it could be controlled. Voldemort and Bella were known to hold their victims under it. And if someone wasn't experienced in causing pain, the spell came in a short burst. Like when Harry tried to cast it on Bellatrix in the dept of Mysteries. I like yours, it fit better with your story. I'm so glad Lucius protected Hermione and the be-bes.

Oooh, and as for a epilogue. I want to see Hermione throwing some things at Lucius while giving birth, but I'd also like to see Lucius completely devoted to his family a few years down the road. I'd like to see Draco as a protective big brother, and maybe Harry and Ginny's baby coming over for a play-date. Oh heck, I don't really care much! Anything you write will be fantastic!!

That was a lovely and intelligent chapter. I loved that their past horrific experience was able to aid Lucius and Severus in saving their wives. Also, I know Lucius isn't stupid, so I am really happy that he will finally know that his wife cares about him for real, even if he doesn't quite get that she loves him yet. :-) Last, Hermione's easy acceptance of that criminal's punishment by Severus was highly amusing and showed her "growth." Thank you, hon! I eagerly await the next chapter.
