    Chapter 48

This was a lovely chapter, LaBib! It was informative too. I was wondering why you were mentioning all that pretty parchment early on in the story. I have to laugh about the student that had traces on his bum. LOL

The scene with Snape and Narcissa was lovely. You

*glomps Harry* I'm a fan of a well-written Harry. Our little dear has grown up, and he's still catching bad guys, bless him! I loved the interaction between him and Hermione. Almost like brother and sister reunited. Poor Lucius, he's so jealous his face is turning green. Tsk tsk. Well anyway. Sorry I didn't review the past couple chaps. I had end of term and finals to deal with. I put up a new chapter of Riverbend if you're interested.

I want to see more Harry. Not a lot...just a little more. ^_^

Harry fan here! :-) I am glad you are including him in the story. As much as a I love everything about this story, it's always nice for Hermione to have a friend or two that's not the Slytherin contingent. I know she can't betray Lucius now by telling Harry the whole truth, but it would be good for her to be able to relax and just be herself with someone without having to worry about what she says and how she says it. Everyone needs that. So, all that was to say, thank you for including Harry. :-) Now, about those handcuffs.... (insert naughty chuckle)

    Thanks!

Hmm. Female, a skilled business-woman, possibly some legal training as well as talented in glamoury, potions, and with a major grudge against purebloods. Probably a muggleborn, since her alias contains the names of two tragically deceased queens, one dead by poison and the other in childbirth. That also would indicate some delusions of grandeur as well. She may have been turned down as a candidate for a marriage due to blood status or otherwise perceives herself as having been victimized by social inequity in some form. Unwilling to get her own hands dirty as she prefers to create a secondary means of social disruption rather than engaging in overt violence. Poison is after all a means most often used by women. Intelligent, devious and detail-oriented, with multiple backup plans for her escape and to remain uncaught. Good chapter!

New chapters equals entertainment and joy! I love that Harry is portrayed as an adult willing to let bygones be bygones for the sake of Hermione rather than bitch and moan about her marriage into a family of known ex-Death Eaters, which she is growing to enjoy more and more. It seems very realistic, although I must wag a reproving finger at him for his letter to Hermione questioning her sanity at the beginning of her marriage (tut tut, Harry, did you think I'd forgotten?). Though because of the abruptness, I will allow it to pass...this time. And as far as this Cleopatra Grey person...witch...much more colorful term that rhymes with 'witch'...whoever could she be!? I must admit the parchment thing is clever, yet causing everyone to become irritated at Purebloods by merely touching them is unfair for both parties involved, since there are Purebloods who had nothing to do with the war being targetted as well as Purebloods who have tried to make their peace in society, and the Half-bloods and Muggle-borns are being subjected to feelings they aren't truly feeling towards a person simply because of their blood status. The promotion of veiled ignorance is truly annoying, and the thought that someone would follow in the footsteps of the fallen Voldemort is even more irritating. Still, great chapter!

I'm glad you had a fairly adult Harry, not one who would go off and rant and rave and generally make me want to hit him. I love that Hermione is starting to read Lucius so well. And that was a particularly stupid Auror. A woman who hates Purebloods enough to do this. Hm, I have to think about it.

OH, and I love the Harry hair pulling thing. I am surprised he didn't ask Hermione more questions about getting married to a Malfoy, but it was good to see him.

I wonder who the Anti-Bella would be? Some crazy female who is probably a muggleborn (but then again, she could have a Hitler thing going on and be a half or pure blood). Poor Hermione as big as a house. That has to be uncomfortable. I feel for her.

Wow, it's about time Harry got on board with everything. It was nice to see Draco rise to defende Hermione. Who ever thought that would happen. And wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall for the little talk between Harry and Lucius, especially now that Harry realises that Lucius is in love with Hermione. And Lucius really needs to be open and talk to Hermione about his true feelings. It would help her so much to deal with the feelings she's having and with the impending births. If she has doubts about Luc's feelings, it will make the birth that much harder for her. It so cute to see Luc jealous - it's such an odd thing to see from him. Now the gentlemanly way he rose for Hermione when she came in and they way he gave her his chair, that's the Luc I expect. Oh, and I LOVE the line about "Bizarre implements in private places." It might have been funny to hear about some of those!!

ch 49 - I'd have felt better about Harry's plan if he'd consulted with the others first, instead of just handing it down to Lucius and Severus and the gang after only a few minutes of thought; plus he should have run it past his supervisor since Harry is still a young pup in the department. I hope he isn't stuck on the idea of Cleopatra being a real woman, as it could be a wizard using Polyjuice. No idea who the villain is, but he/she could be very clever and apply the same potion to other materials, not just colored paper; would be terrible if it was applied to newspapers. Thanks for the new chapter! You always give us so much to think about.

Long story short, I am quite taken with this story! There are stories one reads purely for amusement, and there are the stories that draw you into the fanciful world they weave, and this story falls into the latter category! I waited until the very last chapter to review (which was no easy feat!) so that I could culminate all over my thoughts and feelings on this particular finely crafted work of art, but I cannot! The emotional ranges I experienced while reading this gem over the course of the past few days are far and wide! I generally don't ship Lucius and Hermione (I'm a Dramione sort of person) but this story fits them so well together that I'm hard-pressed to place Hermione in any other pairing! The quips between those two are both witty and scathing, and their slow realization of their feelings was something so naturally done it was wonderful just to watch, er, read it! And the Snape and Narcissa pairing I would have never guessed, but here it is, working just as dynamically as Lucius and Hermione (though admittedly, I find Lucius' and Hermione's relationship much more entertaining). I love the way you have portrayed the characters and the situations they have gone through, it's all unbearably realistic, which is a refreshing viewpoint in any story! And the sex...I shan't touch upon the sex scenes, simply because I fear suffering from third-degree burns! Siz-zlin'! You've definitely mad a fan out of me! I shall promise to become a faithful reviewer in the future! Thank you so much for such a wonderful story!

Don't faint but I'm early for once. Of course Severus was going to receive loads of love notes. How could he not? I'm sure he got a couple from me too. So the toxin was in the parchment? Is that old biddy who slapped Cissy anything to do with it, I wonder, rather than the shop itself? It's good that Cissy's got some work to do. And that Sev is curbing her spending habits. Obviously she is learning that the best things in life are free. OK, good plotline......so it's back to smut soon is it? Excellent. Best wishes, Love Ali xxxxx.
