Wow, you really went all out with this chapter. Excellent character study as well as hints of what they are both thinking. Funny though, they still have not figured it out yet, they are perfect for each other. They are both analytical in different ways and they complement each other. You have done a really wonderful job of showing their progress with each other without rushing it or making it overly fluffy. Lucius does have a human side and Hermione is more than just 'brains' and you really showcase that in a way that is believable. I can't wait for the next helping of smut though!

How in Hade's name I managed to miss the previous installment I have absolutely NO idea, but that means you get a double review now. Let's get on with it, shall we?

Chapter 20: I'll pretend not to be thoroughly disappointed with a Lucius for whom 'tentative truce in the tub lasted for a few quiet days' (honestly! is the man REALLY getting old?) for the sheer brilliance that was Malfoy/Snape dialogue. And I will charge you for the coffee-stained shirt and keyboard at a later date...
BTW, I think my spouse officially hates you now. Apparently, he doesn't mind sharing his wife (as far as 'read only' activities go, at least) but he DOES mind sharing his wine... LOL

Chapter 21: So... Her Royal Primness needed to get sloshed in order to start contemplating something besides her husband's serpentine tongue? Too bad you had her sidetracked mid-way. AGAIN. *counts to 100 Hufflepuffs and back* Hopefully those "boobless, hipless, pre-nubile, giggly young things" will prove more successful at setting Mrs Malfoy's priorities straight than poor Lucius is?
As for the plan... Speak softly and carry a pissed-off wife, you will go far. LOL

They are slowly, very slowly getting there, but neither one is willing to let go of their preconceived notions. He better hope she never finds out that Snape really was the one who chose her.

I very much liked this chapter, it's getting to the meat of things. I wish hermione would throw him a bone, but I'm impatient. :D I like that she is figuring him out a bit. It seems like she has made a breakghrough with him at this meal, so the pieces look like they will start to fall into place soon.

First off thank you for answering my question so thorough and I can certainly see your view of it.
I enjoyed reading Lucius thoughts and its nice to see that he has insecurities, it makes his character much more complex.
Oh and I forgot to mention before that I find Narcissa's and Snape's absolutely adoreable.

Another excellent chapter! LOL at the pictures too xD Ahhh, so Lucius has finally realised he is being baited. Hermione has lost out there, I suppose... no more easy routes to getting a spanking! I hope she does stick around. As much as she hates to admit it, she and Lucius suit each other quite well. AND, the idea of Lucius sharing her with Severus makes me hawt! But since Severus is married to Narcissa, I guess that won't be happening LOL. Look forward to the next chapter!

ch 21 - wow, they finally started THINKING instead of just reacting. Still need a bit of work, but it looks more hopeful. I'm glad he finally told her about his "pervert" reputation at Hogwarts, and yeah, Lucius is definitely cuter and sexier than the elderly Dumbledore. I am not sure if Hermione will ever learn that it really was Severus who searched through the marriage contracts; too scary to think of Lucius and Hermione both being afraid of their spouse not loving them. Thanks for the new chapter! I hope it's safe for Hermione to go outside with just an elf.
