Wow, I do believe Hermione and Lucius may have met their matches. Neither of them will give up on their position. I can't wait to read more.

I love their verbal jabs at one another, i've always imagined it to be mostly foreplay for Lucius to wind up Hermione in a lot of fics and this doesn't seem any different, :)

Great chapter, but one thing. You got the quote wrong. "If you can't be with the one you love, honey, love the one you're with." Silly I know, but I love that song. It's even understandable that it could be done so by Lucius, but it rankles. Excellent work and I hope to read more soon.

Chapter Three: The plot thickens! I must confess that the mention of a turkey baster in your livejournal entry left me slightly perplexed and worried. The turkey baster? Already? I usually don't whip that out until the second date... Hahaha. Just kidding. It's usually the third. ;-) Anyway, lovely chapter. More of those cutting exchanges that I love so much and the impeccable characterisation I've come to expect. I am constantly dazzled by Lucius's silver tongue; that man could talk his way out of anything. Anyway, if I were Hermione, I would be convinced; put a ring on my finger and carry me across the threshold. Though I can't say I'd need much convincing in the first place. Eager for more (partially so Snape can insinuate himself into the scheme of things)!

ch 3 - wow, she is really being a shrew. I'm impressed with how calmly Lucius is in presenting his arguments and answering her questions. I wonder if you'll have him get his hands on a real turkey baster -- for educational purposes, of course. Looking forward to Draco and Severus getting the news. BTW, since you live in the area, will you be attending Azkatraz in July? Thanks for the new chapter!

The bit about the turkey baster...brilliant! It always cracks me up when Lucius finds out about a new, completely repulsive (in his opinion) Muggle technology. I wonder what he would have said if Hermione suggested that he freeze it?

Hermione is a bit naive. I think Lucius is going to quite enjoy introducing her to the wider erotic world. I can see that leaving the contract open was a huge mistake on her part (well, except for the getting Lucius thing, I rather like that coming out of it). But I also think Lucius will be in for a surprise. She does love to learn.
