*bonks Harry on the head and gives Draco blood-flavored chocolates*

This was great to read, it was very cute and reaffirming to see Draco caring for Harry so much! Great work!

That's a big 180. I think Harry will have to have some doubts as they move forward and he's gonna get bored not working (I know!).

    1. Awww...[damn it!], Awww...[damn it to hell!], AWWW...[damn it Lo'!!!], you're
turning me into a sap!!! I wish someone would care for me like that. *goes to
    a corner to sulk*

*bounce back from sulking* Oh...Since I don't write, has there been an increase
in 'hits' with 'Mongoose & Viper', now that you've done 'Long Desired'?

    2. Oh, and I like that we are seeing the 'compromise' now, after all the angst
and drama, I have to admit when you first started this, I WAS baffled with how
in the world you would get those two together.

This was done quite nicely. No, rush to get there whatsoever...

Another excellent update! This one was slower than some of the others but that's to be expected--not to mention it was still very good. Harry needs a little calm to figure out what he's feeling and Draco's doing a wonderful job giving him exactly what he needs. I especially loved that last line. It shows just what Harry's feeling without making him seem out of character or the story seem rushed. I also enjoyed the bits where the two worried about boring the other. It's such a sweet way to show they care about the other and (in a way) they can't live without the other. Can't wait to see where the story goes from here!

I do hope you continue on with this story. I don't usually like vampire stories but this one was dark and fascinating to me and I haven't been able to stop reading. I have been waiting for Harry's meltdown and really wish that would have been chapter 6 so I would know how he was handling himself afterwards but I guess I will have to be patient and wait for the next chapter. Great story!

Wow, that was beautiful in its own painful, terribly sad kind of way. I love it when an author can pull off the shedding of tears from a real man's man kind of character. Not to mention that Harry's outburst was extremely sweet both in the display of his feelings for Ginny and in Draco's display of his feelings for Harry.

In this chapter I especially loved the moment when Harry smiled upon Hermione as she enjoyed Draco's books. It shows the humanity in him just longing to leak out. I'm anxious to see more Ron; both how he'll react to the situation with Draco and how Harry will react to Ron as he changes back into who he used to be. Now that Harry is back on the path to healthiness I can't wait to see what twists you have coming for the story!

...and that is what I have been waiting for, seeing Harry release that
pent-up emotion & anger and just let it go. Now, maybe, we can move forward
on how they are going to work out the bond. Glad to see a compromise
    is...somewhat...being worked out.

We have nothing in common but an interest in predation

Predation??? This is why I like reading your stories, you mention words
that have no place in my vocabulary. You never did say what 'Incandescence'
    meant. ^_^

..and no I ain't looking it up. :-p

Hermione sure isn't acting smart. I do like her as she is trying, but so what if Harry was obsessed. It is after all a public service.

Gah! I somehow missed the last update. And what wonderful chapters your last two were! I love how Harry's reasoning is coming around slowly but steadily. So many authors reach the point where judgements begin to waver and then BAM, instant surrender, no matter how slow and good the build-up was. But Harry's reached his point of confusion and reconsideration and the pace of your story is still moving steadily, not skipping on ahead. I have real respect for that.

I really loved Harry's interaction with Hermione and I can't wait to see what will happen tomorrow night at ten! I feel like Harry finally gaining new knowledge about the Long-Desired bond (other than the knowledge of how to break it) will be a really good thing for him. Maybe then he won't be as confused. At the same time, I'm very pleased with Draco's instincts in this chapter. How he wishes to do something for Harry even after he's filled himself up with Harry's magic and blood and could be doing anything in the world he wanted.

The bond is coming along beautifully, neither party giving nor getting too much or too little. The way Draco's scent changed to Harry was a nice touch. I didn't see that coming--just as I wasn't able to accurately predict your solution to the dark magic ritual. Your surprises are giving me whip-lash. I love it!

a wizarding society for the prevention of cruelty to animals? Harry had never heard of them if there was

-I can think of something. :-)
    *******

I am SO glad Harry is moving forward instead of backwards. I must admit I am
curious to see what WOULD happen to them through their bond, once Harry accepts.

    Will something happen?

Even though Hermione is helping, isn't she under Draco's thrall or is it just
    subtle?
