i'm so glad you agree. i can't tell you how many fics i've abandoned because they chose to portray him that way or made it so that he was more at fault than severus ever was. do you think harry was physically abused or do you believe it to more mental and emotional? and darn it i want to know what the white dementors are and maybe it's just me but they seem to be appearing the more harry tries to conceal things. severus is frustrating though, he subconciously and somewhat conciously acknowledges that something is different with harry and then he falls back on old assumptions. for a smart man he can be pretty stupid. sigh as always til next time. viva la vida!

    Okay, seriously though...

    1. I think Harry, in the beginning of the chapter, is being a bit
childish for a teenager in his way of thinking when it comes to
his parents. It's one thing to know how Severus hated James for
obvious reasons, BUT Harry doesn't have enough evidence to know
    HOW Severus felt about Lilly.

Besides didn't Lilly reveal what she KNEW about Severus in the beginning?

    2. The next instant, he was flying through the hair

-okay, I have to admit THAT one gave me pause. It's towards the
    end of the chapter.

By the way, LOVED the imagery of Voldermort eating Harry, I KNEW
there was a hidden sadist in you waiting to come out. :-)

PS-you are really excelling at writing duels now, so what about those sex scenes? :-)
PPS-by the way, your old style of writing is JUST fine.

So much for the Glamor. Harry must be paranoid, although I'd liken it to when you get a zit on your face and, while it might not actually be that big, it looks to you like it takes up half the room. Harry must look more like Lily than he thought if all he could see is the Snape in him.

    Keep up the great work!

Severus's thought at the end is ironic gold. Its going to be fun when he figures it out.
I like the way you get inside their heads, it makes the story more interesting when we see
    what motivation the characters have.
    excellent chapter

So around 6-9 chapters before Snape finds out? Can't wait!
Seriously, you have to be one of the most brilliant fanfictions authors there are out there. I love your stories! Fanfictions most often have an undeveloped or non-existant plot, whilst your works always keeps me facinated from page one to the end. This one is probably my favourite. Keep the brilliance coming!

You do the delicate balance as perfunctorily as any seasoned ballet artiste. I love the complexity and the hint of a sense of humour. I love that even though Snape broke through his defenses, he did not achieve a huge epiphany. No ahah moment. Beautiful, delicate, intricate balance. Thank you.

cheers for hermione. i get so tired of people calling harry stupid. he's reckless not stupid. i do believe the reasons he doesn't apply himself is obviously 1) he's been convinced that he is stupid by relatives and others and 2) he's too preoccupied by defeating voldemort to realize that he should apply himself to more than just defense. please have snape or someone convince him that he is smart. also your characters often embody a certain belief i hold which is the easiest person to decieve is oneself. and on that note preconceptions are annoying. oh thanks for the compliment. til next time. Viva la Vida!
