Still a good story! Glad to see you're still writing it. So many writers start stories and then never update and that's just mean. :)

"to praise this shining example of student malfeasance"

Malfeasance...*sigh* that's what I love about you. You bring up
damn words that have NO place in my vocabulary. ^__^

All in all, some leeway was made, at least on Prof. Snape's part.
It'll be interesting to see how he goes about defeating the rock
    that is Harry Potter.

I really enjoyed this chapter. Especially the duel scene during the class. I felt a little bad for Draco for only receiving a book, since he's mostly alone during this time (for his mission) especially emotionally, but I'm glad that Severus will be looking out for him, turning him. I had expected for Severus to make Draco join the same dueling lessons, but I'm glad that he didn't. Really enjoyed the way they played off of each other here, Severus and Harry, the other never knowing the intentions behind their actions.

I really like both the premise and the tone for this story, excellent job so far. The only thing to break the mood was this line in chapter 4 "Severus leaned back in his chair and almost hissed the words,

Snape's a nasty bugger here. He seems to be a very unpleasant person.
I'd like to know if you will reveal the secret to him at an early time in the story, so that they have to come to terms with it? Or will it be the grest revelation at the end?
But of course I understand if you can't reveal this right now.

true. i guess it just really ticks me off since i can actually see them getting along. sigh. i do look forward to the moment that he finds out harry is his son. oh the irony. all i can think of is him insulting one of his own blood and i wonder just how he'll react to that. don't get me wrong i do like snape but like sesshou their hypocrisy and refusal to see the object of their hatred in a new light is absolutely infuriating. i really look forward to the moment he finds out. i feel bad for harry he just can't win with anybody. it seems like everyone ignores the things he really wants but gives him things that may be sweet but don't truly make him happy. again this is going to get worse before it gets better isn't it? by the way like your other stories specially Corybantes. til ur next installment. viva la vida!

You know, you are DEFINITELY getting better at writing dueling
scenes that deal with one-on-one interactions, especially
when it comes to the details. Keep this up and I can die happily
tomorrow in 'Duel Story Heaven'. ^__^

...now if ONLY we can get you to do some quidditch. I think I feel
    an idea coming on. ^_____^

PS- you do realize I'm joking with you? :-)
But I think I will come up something one day and let you
    look at it.

"When the Dark Lord trusts someone, Severus thought..... it will be time to leave Britain as fast as I can, because it will mean he has gone mad and will try to blow up the world next."

I just...absolutely loved that line, it made me laugh so hard. Just wanted to say that. xD

But, anyway, keep up the good work. Can't wait 'till next chapter!

Very interesting story. I am anxious for more. Curious if Harry got the Half-Blood Prince's potion book in this story too.

Hai. Hai. I agree. I made that comment thinking of Severus and how he treats his slytherins. i also agree with k though it's strange coming across someone with my old review name. ...i've wanted to say this for a long time but Snape is a hypocrite. he hates that people worship Harry as the boy who lived. that they automatically assume he's this great hero and yet he superimposes James image on Harry and persecutes him. neither the fans or Snape truly know him but they belive that they have the right to judge him. also i find snape's actions to be childish and immature. he blames a boy for his father's transgressions and whenever he starts to see him for who he really is he finds an excuse to reimpose his ideal of harry. like a child who can't believe he's wrong. he also does it to others, like neville and hermione. he can't see past his first impression. how did he last as a spy? now that i've probably bored u with my rant can't wait til next time. i'm hooked; line and sinker. viva la vida!
