    I think you have an excellent story here, one which I would dearly love to see continued.

    The dynamic you established with Hermione and Draco in their relationship is very intriguing. And while I understand why you had to write Severus out the way you did, it also seems as though you weren't quite certain what to do with the story once you had eliminated him as a deterrent to the developing intrigue.

    I was also very interested in the changes you wrought in Lucius while still staying true to him as a character. Your depictions of Narcissa through Draco's eyes were also superbly rendered.

    I would dearly love to read the remainder of this tale, should you choose to come back to it in the future.

    Brilliant story! I honestly believe Hermione thinks herself in love with Severus, but it's one of those things that comes to light after the person is gone. It would be the same grief she'd have felt for Ron or for Harry - even though they weren't intimate. It's sad to see Severus go, but in the end he knew his time was coming and he died to save his friend. A more noble death than JK gave him. lol I look forward to seeing Hermione mend...and Draco becoming more of a fixture in her life. Look forward to the next update too! :)

    AHHHHH thank you for the update! I just reread the whole story since it had been a while and I LOOOOVE it!!! Please keep working on it, even if it's slowly, that's okay! The detail is awesome, the writing is smooth, and the plot is fantastic!

    Sorry to hear you have been having such a hard time. Hope you are doing better after the surgeries, not to mention the death of your friend. I'm amazed you are back to writing, but maybe that offers some catharsis. As to the new chapter, I was so glad to see it on the list of updates, & dove back in, starting with chapter 1 again. Such intensity. Feel for both Hermione and Draco, at this stage. Am eager to see how it continues. Best wishes.

    OOOH! The gloves are off, the courtship battle is formally on. I'm really enjoying the openness in all this. Was Draco's declaration of his intentions part of his plan, or spontaneous? I do think a Beta would help a bit with occasional grammatical slips, but the story is great. Love the interactions. Lucius' new incarnation has comic potential. The Weasleys & Harry are behaving well so far. Your reasoning on the religous side makes sense to me. Am eagerly awaiting more.

    Liking the story so far. Am re-reading before starting the newest chapter: may I question a word choice that is bugging me? After the wedding, there is a comment that Draco & Hermione had had a meeting that was "terse and hurried". I don't think a meeting could be terse. It could indeed be hurried, and any words exchanged at the meeting could be terse, as in sparse & to the point. I'm sorry to be so picky, but both times I've read this I've come to a halt at this point, initially thinking maybe "terse" was a typo for "tense", then going back & thinking maybe you meant a short & hurried meeting, & finally deciding the phrase referred to the amount of talking that went on... in any event, whichever was meant, it's not good for readers to stop to get distracted from the flow of the story by small stuff. Anyway, on to chapters 2 & 3. Can't wait to see how this develops.

    Oh, and I was re-reading some of the reviews. I think what you've done with the Wolfsbane is fine. I believe, in the books, that it allows the werewolf to keep more of his human characteristics during the transformation. In other words, he does not act like a wild, rabid wolf. In point of fact, in PoA, Lupin had NOT taken his potion when he transformed....he'd forgotten it. So the wolf they had to confront in the movie was a wild wolf. I do not believe the reviewer who said the potion only keeps the transformation from happening until moonshine occurs was correct. But, I would suggest looking at the Harry Potter Lexicon. I am sure there are essays and all of JKR's interviews collected there which would touch on the subject.

    Loved the third chapter. As for the Christian overtones, I don't have a problem with it, and I'm a practicing Catholic. Actually, I seem to recall an interview with JKR that brought up that very topic. She had Lucius use the name of the Deity back in the GoF book when he's insulting Arthur in the Ministry box and the Quidditch World Cup. He says, 'Lord, Weasley...' or some such. JKR specifically wanted to keep a particular mainstream religion out of the books, (she's probably Church of England, though I don't know for sure), focussing only on the actual idea of Good and Evil without the trappings of religion to 'muddy' it up, I think. But, that being said, I don't think it's a problem that you have Hermione having been raised in a religious house. I'm sure many Muggleborns would have had the same experience. Seamus Finnigan comes to mind. :D Thanks for the update, and do more soon. I hope this'll end up being a Dramione, too. :D

    3: Ah, circumstances, circumstances...go Draco! But poor Hermione and too bad Severus is being fair. Though I thought that Lucius and Draco were avid enthusiasts of Muggle movies & television a bit OOC. I mean, maybe a little, but such avid watching? I dunno... It was a very enjoyable chapter though!

    Another great chapter, thanks. I get bothered how Hermione still chooses to go for the older ugly (according to the books) guy but not give the young handsome man a chance, but i can't say anything because I've had my friends complain to me about the same thing in the past.
