I was not expecting that! Its funny how some peoples lives intermingle long before it goes noticed. This story is a perfect example of fate. It is so very early in your story and this could take a completely different path but, it seems that fate might be a big player in this peice. I am loving it by the way and am looking forward to the next chapters eagerly. Well done!!!!

Another great update. I am wondering, what is so terrible with what I assume is Severus looking through a window in the picture? He lived in the house I guess, it shouldnt call for such dramatic reactions that he showed on a picture, should it? I am very much looking forward to see what happens next:-))

I am really enjoying this. I can just imagine that little cottage Hermione is staying at. I am so disappointed in Harry and the Weasleys for not being a good friend and family to Hermione. I hope they regret that now that's she's left without a word. I can't wait to see further interaction between Hermione and Severus.

Just a quick note to let you know how much I'm enjoying this story. It is so... soft. Not fluffy, just gentle. I love it. : )

Ahhhh and so it begins. I'm not sure were your going with this but Ifind the pace tantalizing. I'm not sure if Severus had softened with time or is he just so tired of all the BS. Hermione on the other hand is as expected different since the war. It is almost as if her life had been on hold and she just doesn't know or care (I'm not sure which yet) to get over things so quickly. I have a feeling this is going to be a sort of buisness proposition that turns into something else. By buisness porposition I mean "You have space I need for farming and what do you want in return." Can't wait for more. Brilliant as usual.

Ron & Harry's behaviour isn't surprising - now that Harry doesn't need her to play research whore and Ron has alternative places to stick his prick and Ginny already has ensnared the BWL, what use is she to her former friends?

I bet the only way anyone is talking about her, if they are talking about her, is how she went into hiding the moment she heard of Harry's engagement and was therefore in love with him. Which means that Weaslette Jr & Sr will be even less welcoming of her if she chooses to return. And most people will be muttering at the sheer audacity of a plain Mudblood to think she could ever be worthy of the Great Hero and others encouraging Ginny to keep checking Harry's food and drink for love potions that the jilted brunette could place. Ewwwwww.

As for the lack of reviews - are you honestly surprised? FFNET readers are five times more likely to review a fic, and not just because there are more of them. AFFNET insists on you having to enter some word (Captcha) even if you're already logged in. It's very annoying.

And AFFNET doesn't have story alerts, which makes it difficult to follow a story. You might want to consider posting this somewhere else with story alerts, like FFNET or Petulant Poetess (though its story alert system is generally only discovered by accident).

I would have preferred longer chapters. But I'm not the one putting effort into writing this story for free in my spare time.

Very interesting start. I'm feeling bad for Hermione, she seems so isolated right now. Your set up of the situation is spot on I would say. While the Weasley's treated her well, it seemed to me that Molly always favored Harry and didn't treat Hermione with the same warmth.
It sounds like Harry's not even telling her about his engagement to Ginny before a public announcement came down, was the last straw for her, like she just packed up and left her past behind.
Looking forward to reading more. :)
