Fantastic story! I would expect Snape to have a Horcrux.

    Ms. Figg,
Thank-you for this tale of Snape. But, how can I put this? MORE! MORE! I loved where this one was going and I have so many questions. What was Snape's Horcrux? Why did he keep getting drawn into Hermione's dreams? How did he go from being in her dreams to being in her bedroom? Why agree to help Hermione aside from the obvious? This is brilliant! Please pursue this one further. I know that your muse has been temperamental at best lately, but please consider your plethora of adoring fans. Don't stop writing in general. In the last 10 years I have lost my great-grandmother (who raised me) to old age, my chance at a music career to petty politics, my lover to a mental disease whose delusions were more important than I apparently, and my beloved cousin/confidant to a vicious as well as irregular form of liver cancer not to be found in a young, healthy, nurse, with no chemical vices, and two small children. Sometimes your stories were all I have had to hold on to in the harsh moments life brings about. Your writing has saved my life, literally, more than once. Please know that you make a difference and that I will be reading.

If it's any consolation, I think this is the beginning of a great story.

Don't worry about your muse. She's just waiting for you to get settled in. Once you do, she'll come around for a cup of tea.

If this is you pulling teeth... I'm hiring you as my family dentist. Expect a magpie first thing in the morning.

Is it insensitive of me to say I'm glad you got to that point in your life while you're still young enough to actually MAKE something of it? Bad Insolence! *goes to iron her....* Oh, sod it - I HATE ironing! *goes back to reading your fics* ;)

This story speaks to a very piercing loss I experienced 10 years ago. My loss still haunts me and I am attempting to find a therapist with whom I may work through it. I hope that Hermione's therapy goes better than mine. I also, understand what it's like to have gone from one person's home to the next. I wish you joy in your new found freedom.

I'm glad to hear you're taking such a big step in your life. I know its very hard to adjust but trust me over time you'll get used to it. Love the story so far by the way. Very dark. Keep up the work!

Ms. Figg, I congratulate you on your new beginning. Might I point out that you are in an inspiring position and I doubt your muse has left? Think about it--you are in the same position Snape would have been in had he survived. The demands have been left behind, a new life ahead; one for your self. One that you can craft to your own liking at long last. You have absolutely no idea how much I envy you. This new muse may seem tentative, but she has a lot to think about; give her a chance.

It's not easy making such a drastic change in your life. But it sounds like it was past time for you to live your life for yourself. You raised your children and you need some time to yourself now. Your muse is still with you but probably just in temporary shock at the silence. Everything will be fine and you'll find you will be a better parent and grandparent now that you have your own space and can control when you babysit and let your children be the parents. Oh, and the story is very intriguing. Different and mysterious.

Interesting start to the story Ruth. Will it all take place in the venue of dreams. An interetsting concept if you keep it all within dreams. And I always hope that you will update Dark Lady. Good luck my good friend!
