Depressing but interesting. Why didn't Harry come out more emotionally stunted than he was? The drastic change in mood at the end of the story was discomfitting. Maybe tone down the ending a bit, by stopping at the point where Severus starts reaching out?

I really enjoyed this fic. Thanks for writing this and showing me that Snape-as-Harry's-guardian fics can actually be interesting. I hope you keep writing HP fanfiction.
