    Hm... a very good story if I do say so myself. I like how it starts off showing Ginny's inner darkness, her personal inner demon and progresses to show Harry's as well. The whole thing has an odd kind of beauty in my opinion.

    I can't really see this as a darker type of story, since to me it seems to be more bitter-sweet if you will. I like it because it brings depth to the both Ginny and Harry, it takes them out of the fairy tale like setting of the original HP books in which the bad guy dies and everyone lives happily ever-after.

    All that's really left to say is that I'll be looking out for your future work to see if anything else piques my interest...

    Julian, this was brilliant. Really. I love how you balance characterization with the expected awkwardness and normality of human interactions, especially among these characters at this point in time. Hermione's reaction and confusion were done perfectly, and I love how Ginny absolved Harry, how she understand him and how he would torment himself for this. I love that Harry has come to a place where he's starting to embrace both parts of himself, everything he is...self-acceptance and the power to make choices with full knowledge of self is a theme that runs through the entire HP series, so this is a nice extension of that. And it's even more awesome that it's related to Harry's sexual interests. The ending was SOOOOOO HOT! God boy, you have to write another bdsm fic. Congratulations on finishing this and writing a really great story that shines on so many levels.

    Bravo, Julian! This story was really fantastic. I loved it all. Such a wonderful ending for Harry and Ginny, too. Even though he's abusing her in the forest, I can't help but see him and his admiration for her as supremely romantic. I can finally see how these two complement each other, which Rowling only gave us glimpses of in the series. Ginny's fire is a perfect counterpoint to Harry's dark passion.
