Reviews for Hysteria

I like this story, I really do. However I read it at 4am with the hope of it putting me to sleep, which was dumb. Now I can't and I'm positive I am going to have horrific nightmares. Hermione's predicament has left me paranoid of Draco's real intention in all of this. I have a theory, but I want to see what you write. Just sometime in the daylight hours where I'm not so prone to being terrified. ;)

Come on, Draco! Get an idea here! Hermione's sound logic is shooting your ideas down! Think like Hermione for a change! Hell, get reckless and think like Harry! He had the brilliant plan!

Sorry. It was so good I had to rant. XD I'm loving the newfound tension between Hermione and Draco. Poor Draco doesn't have a clue. I can't wait for the next chapter!

I have to admit that half of the time I am scared to see what you have thought up but I can't keep myself away from the story. I think I have said that before but really! It is like a really fine chocolate on a bad day. I just can't turn it down!

I'm glad she is becoming a bit of herself again.
You've created a world and situation that is completely terrifying and quite plausible in the wizarding world, with realistic character reaction and well-written chapters.

She makes a great point. I like this Draco, I really do... but if he can't see that she was in effect being raped, and can't understand her point of view, she's going to have a long road ahead with only Harry Potter and Draco fighting for her freedom. However, if he CAN be made to see... he certainly is in a position to make some changes. It's not like he doesn't have a trust fund to help him along if he leaves his practice. Or maybe he actually believes that getting girls off helps their psychological wellbeing and calling himself a doctor instead of a prostitute legitimizes it. But what happened to Hermione in the care of Belleme was torture, no doubt about it. I would love to hear if any of the male wizengemot members would be willing to take polyjuice and give it a go. And although I know in real life this stuff happens, it's hard to justify dehumanizing someone to the point that physically harming them is considered treatment.

So, I'm guessing he's trying to bring her out of her stupour by handling her that way. Otherwise, I'm not sure what's up with him. I know he needs to remain distant - somewhat - but he's behaving less like a friends or potential boyfriend and more like someone studying a new puzzle. It was sweet of him to hold he during the night though.

Can't believe how collected Draco is being about all this. I think he realizes that is only one keeping her slightly sane at this point. Sure shes furious and she has every right to be but, if Draco lets his anger show things will spiral out of control. Nice follow through with the nightmares I would think they will plague her for some time. I know Draco wants her to prosecute her healer but these things are almost impossible to prove. The healer was very by the book . I think it was just preliminary .I can't come up with a reason that a doctor would not listen to their patient. I guess some of them really do have a "god" complex. Can't wait for more. Well done!!!!

SWEET MERLIN WOMAN! Are you trying to give me a heartattack?! I just figued she'd try and slit her wrists or something...NOT THAT! Thank the Gods for Draco finding he in time. I hope he can get through to her and make her understand that she's not damaged goods and that he'll show her how he really feels. I mean lets face it, he's in love with her and just hasn't/can't admitted it to himself yet. I'm anxious to see how things go now....

I've waited to review this so it wouldn't be rushed. I finally have a second to take some time with it.

I think that an insulated, powerful society like wizarding world, one that embraces it's traditions and savors it's power, would be the perfect breeding ground for this kind of situation. I read a review where someone said that the muggle world would be up in arms. I beg to differ. The muggle world knows EXACTLY what the ministry wants it to know. There are whole teams of obliviators who help keep muggles in ignorance, and I think that a society that lives in fear of change to the extent that Voldemort was allowed to thrive is just as likely as EVERY OTHER COUNTRY in the world to take away human rights when it suits them. It was about mid sixties when The civil rights amedment was passed, ONLY THREE YEARS BEFORE I WAS BORN. In the muggle world. The wizarding world... I see it being much more hidebound, more accepting of flimsy evidence, more likely to carry on tradition and much less able to protect itself from the whims of those in power. When you can imperius someone and make them do your will... well... what hope does an honest person have when faced with selfish evil with unlimited power?

And Draco not even asking her why, because he knew. And her social status killing her dreams, oh friend. That's how it happens even now in the real world. My heart breaks for her.

You weren't lying when you said it would turn dark. I'm glad you're back posting. It took some time and it was worth it. I only wish the chapters were longer.
