Is it bad that I want Ron to team up with Harry so they can track down and kill all of the torturing rapists on Harry's list? Harry needs his wing man, after all.

And I am really, really curious about that asterisk.

I'm wondering just what kind of fallout there's going to be when Harry realizes that his two best mates are sleeping with each other. I just don't see him handling it all that well. And will he allow Hermione to massage the cramps out of his legs without wigging out on her again? I have to say, Hermione has been so much in the background these past few chapters that I am missing her pov a bit. Will be nice to see what's going on with her.

And with Remus' story of his time with Greyback's pack (it really WAS kind of audacious for DD to expect Lupin to go back into that fray, wasn't it?), I wonder how much Ron and Hermione are piecing together about Harry's experiences. I think back on the bits of dialog they heard from Bellatrix and Avery and if they were cognizant of the implications. They seemed surprised about Harry's story on Snape's visit---and yet they were right there when Bellatrix mentioned him. Do the two of them have conversations about that?

As always, looking forward to more.

This story just keeps getting better and better! You are doing an amazing job developing the characters. I love the insights into their minds. I'm also a huge sucker for trio bonding moments, and this story is full of them! I curious what the plan is for the relationship between the three. Will it remain Ron/Hermione, or will it become all three of them? Could be an interesting healing process for them I suppose. Anyways, can't wait to read more...great job so far!!!

    Greycie,

It's really sweet of you to respond. I don't want to get you in trouble, as I believe the mods here frown upon authors using their review section to reply to readers, but if you ever want to answer any of the questions you get here, know that there is a Forum that includes a board for authors to have that kind of interaction. Otherwise, if you ever want to talk writing, you can always send me a line--natmcd62@msn.com

Oh, so nice that I'm not the first to post on a new chapter this time.

I actually read this late last night, after I'd finished up some writing of my own. I couldn't write a review without letting it sink in some more and then reading it a few more times this morning.

First thing--I see an actual improvement in your writing since you've began this. Not that it wasn't great to start off with, but the more you write through each of the trio's recovery, the deeper and more profound your words become. When I was reading Harry's thoughts about the scar on his arm, how he longed for the numbness to take him away from pain and misery, I was startled by just how truthful it rang. When I read Ron's swift reactions to Harry's nightmare; how he yells at his parents in his frustration and mental fatigue, I marveled at how familiar I was with that scene in my own life. The way he apologizes to everyone in the room after his outburst---this is the Ron that fans see.

Second--you know, I've dealt with depression for most of my life. I understand Harry's mindset quite intimately. The way you managed to articulate his grief and the depths of his despair, his wish to disappear into the numbness---that really affected me by how precisely you captured that blackness, the poison running in his veins.

Apologizing to every single person who

mannnnnnnnnnn, does he ever need a mind healer and Snape should be bloody kicking himself for that one. Like HARRY doesn't have enough hanging off him.

Another solid chapter. I particularly love the little moments that you put in, just little things that ramp the emotion up. I cried a bit with Ms. Pomfrey (sp?) when he thanked her ... and putting it in all-caps made all the difference, too. Also, your Ron is wonderful, very much appreciating how you're drawing him, strong and solid and petrified and vulnerable and loving all at once.

The emotion in this is so strong, and you're not rushing it at all, which is very important to the feel of, well, reality to the thing. They're all recovering from almost unimaginable trauma, Harry particularly, and you're walking us through it with them.

I'd meant to review the last chapter but didn't, so this one will have to do for both. Really, truly well done.

As a rule I normally do not read any abuse fics or threesome/moresome fics that aren't mostly PWP, but this fic has me captivated. I love the progression and degression of your characters, the beautiful way your tragedy hits my heart, and the way I am hopeful for Harry, Ron and Hermione to be okay even though most people would never be after something like that. So thank you so much for writing this and I look forward to more chapters.

    Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful!

I'm not going to lie Greycie,I think I was going through withdraws waiting for your update. Now that I've gotten my hit, I can give a proper review.

Salon_Kitty is right. You do have a great understanding of the characters not only as a cohesive unit, but as individuals as well. I loved Ron's character assessment of Harry and how he noted that despite his mate

Uuuuggghhh why you break my heart??? This last chapter ("healing harry") from Ron's pov *broke* my heart. I feel so awful for all of them! But the moment Ron & Hermione shared was beautiful, too. Your writing is amazing and I can't wait to read the rest. Keep up the excellent work!

    Oh, Greycie, Greycie.

I feel like a stalker now, but my Spidey senses get to tingling when it feels like you're about to post, lol. This is the second time I stopped by right when you put up the next chapter. It's kind of freaky, but I swear it's coincidence!

    Anyway, where to begin?

    BEST. Ron. EVER.

Seriously. I don't think I've ever read such respect for his character from any other writer in fanfic, with the exception of SoftObsidian, and I just think you do a phenomenal job with him. In fact, you have so much respect for ALL the characters, which is what draws me to this story so much. You seem to have an innate understanding not only of the trio, but what these three would think and feel in these situations.

I loved, loVED, LOVED the way he sized up Harry, how he so fittingly pegged him as the fighter who can take every abuse thrown at him and still gets up. And he respects Harry for that. Which is part of why their friendship is so great and why its so enduring. They are truly the BROMANCE of the century. I also loved getting Ron's perspective on what went down in the Manor when Harry lost it, adding more visuals to the memory. Ron's wariness of Harry's crazy eye was a great detail, too; I love Ron's humour. And I know what it's like to deal with the crazy eye and scare your mates from time to time, lol.

Once again, the sex scene between Ron and Hermione was very sweet and full of passion, but it still tears at me how Harry will never know that feeling of safety again, to be so close to someone like that, so vulnerable. You manage to make the scene joyous yet tragic at the same time.

And I knew something heavy would go down once they tried to get him in the bath, but of course the way that Ron instantly seeks to keep Hermione away just makes me adore him all the more. When he gave him 'the talk' after Harry almost freaked out on Hermione again, upsetting her in the process, I couldn't help feeling that Ron's candidness is what Harry needs right now.

Oh Greycie, how do you knock it out of the park everytime? I mean wow! The scene with at the Mannor was written so well, I was actually squirming when I was reading it!! You write emotions and horror so well. I am so in love with your Harry. He is just so spot on to me. Long live bad-ass!Harry.

The only thing I have to gripe about is I wish he could have gotten his revenge against all those sick bastards!!!!! But, I guess i just have to wait and see what happens. I'm so glad you decided to continue the story. :-)

~And thanks for reviewing my fic!!!!!!!
