I don't think anybody caught this, but Harry unconciously
LET someone touch his back! I ALWAYS felt that his paranoia
for people to not do that was psychological, which is understandable.

..and yes, it does show the trust he feels for Draco deep down.

I would have liked to see if the ritual worked, it sounded like he was in too deep so it probably wouldn't have changed his relationship with Draco, but maybe help with the scars if they are impure.

I feel like such a slacker since the last time I reviewed you've updated like 10 times! Btw I loved each update and hope there are many more to come and very soon! I'm glad Harry didn't go through with the ritual and hopefully draco comes to his senses soon and gets rid of the girl. Update update update!

Ah Harry. He's run until he's out of strength huh. Exhausted him self struggling and now all he can do is lie there. Go thing his co captive is benevelent towards him. With Gin dumping him, he nearly did soemthing very stupid. I suppose despiration does that to a person. Hopefully he won't feel so cornered now.

    About Ch 26:

Yes! Yes, yes, yes, yes! Honesty, finally! I loved your descriptions of how difficult this was for both of them. It gave the moment more reality. I also really liked the scene between Narcissa and Draco. It's always lovely to see the softer side of her and showing the same pride in her and in her son in the scene with Harry made it very touching. I'm a bit worried about what will happen if Harry tries to purge the bond from him again. It seemed he didn't notice the buzzing of his ring like Draco did. Is that because his ring wasn't buzzing or because he was so focused? There has also been a lot of talk about a point where the marriage bond will be impossible to break. Does passing that point mean that nothing will happen at all if someone attempts to break the bond or that there will be very negative consequences on the bonded pair when the attempt is made?

...so in the coming chapter, after Narcissa revealing Harry's situation and Draco's explanation on the newest development, how will Harry react? Even it is not about the bond, does Harry find Draco attractive?

Poor Harry, He's fighting so HARD. It makes me want to take and comfort him, to tell him it will get better, but I dunno that it will. Not even sure if we've reachedf the darkness before the dawn.
Draco'ss comment on difficult sppouses made me grin. fiesty is the way to go huh.

Oh Harry. I don't think he is able to recognize the difference between the pull of the marriage bond and the pull of falling in love. Stubborn man, keep on being stubborn! I understand Draco's need to keep options open for himself. I truly wish he could see into Harry's mind--and, for that matter, that Harry would open up enough to let that happen. However, that's a lot of vulnerability for anyone, much less someone who has been through the kinds of experiences that Harry has lived with. Yikes.

Thank you for the lovely writing, as always! Can't wait for more.

Harry seems to be losing it. I'm not so sure that the cleansing spell is a good idea, as it could create a bad reaction with the bond that would affect both Harry and Draco. Has Harry thought about that? Also, shouldn't he rather use this spell to try and get rid of the cursed scars on his back instead?
I think that even if the bond has an influence on him and his emotions, if he chose to let himself appreciate what it has given him, Harry could be genuinely happy. The more he fights it, the more unhappy he is. Although I understand how it can be hard to accept for him, with his history of people trying to control him... Also, his fear that Draco might not love him even if he does seems to come from the fact that he still thinks that Draco is incapable of loving anyone (apart from his mother). Rather than that, I think that Draco has been taught his entire life not to show his feelings, but the bond is also affecting him and little by little changing that. What do you think?
As for the baby part: if there is a spell to make an outside baby an heir to the family, why can't they just adopt a child and use it (so that there's still a Malfoy heir), instead of having to sleep with other people? Surely Harry wouldn't think an adopted child is not the same as a biological one?
I'm looking forward to what happens next, and also how Draco will react when he learns that Ginny broke up with Harry (I greatly respected her for taking the decision first) but he didn't tell him. Draco doesn't seem to realise how far Harry is ready to go to break the bond. It might be time for him to rebel instead of always walking on eggs with Harry...
By the way, I liked Laura d'Alveda. Quite refreshing from the other pureblood witches Draco was considering. Maybe shows how living with Harry has changed him? But I would still prefer for Harry and Draco to remain together without outside 'arrangements', of course. :)

It seems like Ron is pushing Harry towards Draco, at least a little bit. Or maybe he's just not pulling Harry towards his friends like he should. Such a shame.

I just want you to know that I have been reading Harry/Draco fan fiction for a while now, but I have never reviewed before or stuck with a story that wasn't complete. But I absolutley love this work of fiction and I couldn't pass up the chance to review it. You are an amazing author and I am always anticpating when you upload a new chapter. I can't wait to see how the characters evolve and how the story works out! Thanks for sharing your work with us!

*singing* Harry is jealous...Harry is jealous. :-)

You know, I can't WAIT for their first kiss. I know
it's going to be one of those 'fangirl-sighing'
tender kisses that give you a goofy smile.

    Hell, I'm smiling now. :-D

Also, will Harry & Draco [and maybe even Narcissa]
have a candid conversation one day about the 'Hogwart
Years' where Harry reveals he was to be sorted in
Slytherin? I swear that never gets old. One day you
aught to do a mini story on that in the faaaar future.

By the way, how are YOU doing?

I was really excited to find not one, but two chapters to read when I jumped on AFF today. The newest chapters flow nicely, and I definitely enjoyed the way these chapters dig a little more into how Harry and Draco think, and feel towards each other. I did like the fact that Ginny was the one to break it off with Harry, and not the other way around; it fit the pace of the story pretty well, since having her hanging on for much longer would have slowed things down, and ruined the tempo of the story just a tad. Having her be the one to break it off also gives Harry the proper catalyst to start considering Draco as a real husband, although of course I don't see him doing so any time soon. It just seemed to me that it wouldn't have made sense for Harry to properly consider Draco while Ginny was still with him. At least now Draco has a better chance, even if Draco himself doesn't know it just yet.

Also, I loved it when Harry compares Draco to a woman and Draco finds it flattering instead of an insult. That scene right there makes Draco earn so many brownie points in my mind. And although it's said in the story that he didn't take it as an insult because purebloods have a different mindset, a part of me couldn't help but think that a bigger motivation for him liking the comparison is because he holds such high admiration for his mother. It's plain as day that he views Narcissa as being the ideal construct of a woman, and since she is the only major female figure throughout his life, it makes sense that he'd inadvertently connect females with the kind of strength his own mother carries. But than again, that could just be me looking way too much into the scene haha.

Even though Draco may think they do not listen to Lucius 's ideas, as they have different opinions on family, would Draco rebuild this relationship for Harry 's sake? Yet I agree with Draco that they can teach and show Harry that he is much better than his own belief, belittle is my perception of him right now.
