    about #40...

First, Happy July 4th...now & after the fact,
    if u celebrate it.

You know what would kill the mood, if Harry
mentions needing to speak to Ian, before the
afterglow can dim. Harry the Moodkiller.. :-)

I'm glad we FINALLY got to this point, 'course
    the somewhat blow-by-blow description of...*ahem*
spunk raised an eyebrow. But, hey I ain't complaining
    every man's...uhh..spunk is different. Hah!

I don't know WHY that stood out for me, but hell let
    me have my fun!

    Wonderful chapter, Teach!

You don't understand how much I love this story. I nearly cried when I got to the last chapter after reading it for two days straight.

I can't wait for the next chapter. I hope Draco fucks Harry good and proper.

Yay~! haha (lol feeding each other food XD ~love)

This might sound horrible but I'm so happy Harry is breaking it off~! I just hope Draco realizes that he no longer needs a back up because Harry isn't going to leave him.
Haha, Yay, they have to stay together behind wards ... not able to leave .... YAY~!!!
I'm so glad that Harry realized that the rings weren't dictating their decisions, I feel as though Draco has always had more faith that his decisions weren't based on the rings.
Ugh though i wanna know what happens next~! (their first time?) GAH ~ LoVE~!

can't wait for the next chapter~!
    As always great work~

    1. It had been a long time coming.

YES, it has...and of course the author decides to end it on THAT
note! *kicks author on the ankle*

    2. You know I was close to wanting to reach through the screen &
bitch-slap Lucius my damn self, if he kept talking. I swear he doesn't
know when to quit. *rolls eyes*

    3. I'm glad you told us what the different metals meant, because I
definitely didn't feel like going through the first 20 chapters trying
to find out what each one represented.

Anyway, this was good. Keep it up...

INCREDIBLE chapter. I love this fic; the build up is perfect, the characterizations apt, and the writing is (as always) fantastic.

Maybe accepting the bond will help... and er, consumating it? Luc you delusional, wretched prick! May your vainglory come back to haunt you as painfully as it is your victims.
Veery, very clever Loma. They still have a bond of sorts but the forced part is gone. That line about all that was left was their choices and ones they'd probably make again given the circumstances. I'm glad they're realising because the forced part was the bit really niggling at Harry. Now he doesn't have to fight it so hard... he can accept. Awesome.
The side effects are a bit worrisome though. I truely hope they can find a way around them.
I'm glad Harry isn't just going to do the magical version of braking up with Ian's machine... poor guy never really got a chance and he seems as if he deseves at least the face to face bbreak up.
All this and they still have those wretched mages to deal with.

I really like this idea on how to bring them together...bands that made on deliberate choices, so does this mean, from now on, the bond will just intensify their feelings for each other, rather than asking them to bond even deeper?

Will somehow Hermione and Ron appear later? Will they visit the Manor and ask Harry?

... well, that didn't quite go according to plan. To little, to late Luc. Still, it'll be intersting to see the effects of a marriag binding ring without the base metals... or will they earn those back as well? luc what ARE you up too?!
Poor Ian, draco is so dog with a bone on him he can't even get a gesture in edge wise. lol.
Those decay mages deserve to get eaten by their own damned monsters. grrrr.

    D8> wow!
lucius's timing is the worse. harry and draco go through so many things and now they have to deal with the loss of their bonds....or did they lose the bond? I'm not to sure since the rings were still on their fingers. I dont know. I'm excited to read the next chapter though.
If the marriage bond was removed, I want to see how Draco and Harry's relationship will continue to be.....if it will continue to be?
thanks again for the quick and suspenseful chapter updates!!

Obviously there is no way to go back now...maybe even the ritual cannot work! How will Harry react? BTW, would this bring Lucius closer or further away from the family? And...I also would like to know how will Narcissa react to this. Oh~~~ it is also obvious that Lucius's last card is not helpful, would he seek another way to get what he wants?

    About Ch 38:

Gah! Here I was so convinced that Lucius was going to be all nice about Harry being good for the family and step off until something happened with whatever that ritual was supposed to do! That's all thrown out the window now, isn't it? I was so incredibly glad that the four bands of metal stayed as rings. These characters are stubborn enough that it would have been completely back to the drawing board without some physical manifestation of their bond still between them so I can only hope that this will knock some sense into them about the depth of their relationship. Fantastic chapter!

Oh, looks like I was right about the rings, yay! I'd like to see Lucius's reaction when he realizes that his plan failed... And Narcissa's reaction to Lucius's move too. But most of all, I'd like to see how Harry and Draco are going to cope with this new development and what it's going to mean for them. I wonder how the bond they share will change with the loss of the original contract and only the bands they added themselves left over... I also didn't expect such a violent reaction and hope they won't be hurt too much by it.
Draco reached an all-time high in his protectiveness of Harry in this chapter. Wouldn't this kind of reaction (from the iron band) get in the way of Harry's everyday life as an Auror, though? How could Draco ever feel that Harry is safe at work (particularly after the recent attacks)? Ian also doesn't have a very good timing, and I wonder how long he will cling to Harry without his pride getting in the way when Harry and Draco are more and more obvious about their feelings for each other... I look forward to Harry feeling the same about Laura too; the small glimpse we saw of it was lovely. But will he be more eager to try the ritual now that Lucius's actions didn't have the expected results? I hope they can still put it off for a while, at least long enough to understand what the new rings mean. And as usual I wish that they would both let go of their other relationships and focus on their own, but I guess they are not quite there yet?
Plus, I'm glad Harry didn't have to reveal everything about the beast (like Draco, I expected that his Gryffindor honesty would force him to keep his promise) - also because he acknowledged that both himself and Draco have changed because of the bond but these changes aren't necessarily negative. And Draco's battle of wills with Ian and protection of his 'territory' was hilarious and endearing at the same time (at least for me). If looks could kill, several people would have dropped dead in that room - several times!
