prediction or not, it looks like malfoy is settling into being a true partner for har. someone who balances him as completely for a mortal to do and he's finding, prediction to the side, that har makes him a very good partner as well.
I agree with one of those last answers to reviews. now is NOT the time to raise moral crisis issues. worry about that when all is said and done.
i wonder where they get child number two... there where two kids in that vision yeah.... goes back to check.

Its amazing how someone could say they're Harry's best friends, and yet not know him well enough; *tsk* they should know better. Hermionie may be questioning her friendship soon? Interesting fight scene, and Draco's potion...allergic to magic hmm? Sucks for them. The trap is the egg...it's the dragon fanatic in me, but it did sound like a dragon's egg. If not an animal egg, perhaps a magical container for a strong burst of magic (like a wizarding version of a mine/bomb?) Good job thus far, can't wait to read more.

I envy you the ease it seems you have with the action scenes. I find them a little more difficult to write, myself, and yours always so smooth and easy to visualize. Excuse me while I go and cry. I absolutely love the way that Draco and Harry are moving together with the mental link. Although, Draco *might* want to not think with anything other than his brain in the middle of battle. :) And that potion with the lovely fumes... Draco is an undisputed genius, yes, it's true. I was hoping for more interaction with Ron, Hermione, and Draco, but I suppose that's for another time. I do believe that there will come a time where Draco gets his wish and Harry leaves the Auror corps for greener pastures... Like Draco's bed. Harry's one step away from being completely insane with the way that he was digging down to that weird egg thing. Ah, but Draco's possessiveness at that moment was priceless! Nothing like a well-placed 'Mine' to make me smile. ^_^ Hm, I see a lecture coming from Hermione in the future, but neither Harry nor Draco caring really too much what she says. Sometimes, there *are* risks that one has to take in the heat of battle. She'll just have to get over herself. And you'r right about the wait being frustrating, but I loved the chapter, so that made it all the more worth it.

awesome awesome awwwwwesome... the battles are reaaaalllyyyyy awwwwwesome... (spoken in a sing song voice of course)... this chapter was perfect! I loved the potion Draco used to make the wizards allergic to magic... freakin' clever. And how him and Harry worked together... really great. And no... 'prelude to the battle' just doesn't have the same ring to it (not to mention it would make me think of Miss Murder's prelude... or maybe Mozart) Though it did freak me out when this chapter was titled with 'slaughter'... I was expecting gore and was very happy to find a kickazz battle scene instead. Great writing as always :)

    A. It's always good to see Harry cut loose like that...and will you ever run out of 'In...' titles?...
    B. May I ask WHY you haven't made Draco a trained Auror who mainly works in a section of the Ministry
that dabbles in potions, with occassional field work? As a matter of fact, why don't you, if not here
maybe in another story?...I don't think you've done that yet...C. Watching Harry & Draco fight together
brought to mind a somewhat fantasy of seeing them as seasoned warriors from the future who've come back
TOGETHER to warn their younger past selves....D. By the way, you may want to check your older stories, AFF is corrupted again.

indeed, having tasted this freedom. why would he want to? there are so many things har could do and with malfoy behind him, the ministry will have a very hard time touching them, especially when this scandal comes to light.

AHHH! Harry is doing Spiderman! Can't wait for the new movie, hmmm? ;-)

    and...

Damn, all they need is a war cry and they're all set. :-) Also, I like how
the beginning of Harry & Draco's relationship is starting. It's like they're
an old married couple already, without the arguments at the moment.

I liked Draco's inner commentary on Hermione & Ron, it's always a joy to see that
Slytherin wit & humor shine through.

I had no idea the prophecy would effect his magic THAT much! Nice chapter.

Yes! Just what I needed on a day like today! It's cold and ugly, and I was *really* upset with the cliffhanger of the last chapter. I cannot wait to see how Harry & Co. take on Shroeder and the rest of their enemies. I wonder how Kingsley is taking all of this stuff going on with Harry. He's been decidedly quiet. Ugh, you know, I hate waiting for updates. It's usually why I only read completed fics, and you have so many that *are* complete that it shouldn't be a problem, but they're so good that I've read them all now. So, um, I'll be looking forward to the next update of this, Parsimony and Anarchy as Art. As soon as I'm caught up on those, I'll review too. ^^

There!?! You left it there!?! *sulking and mumbling to self... battle... it's titled 'in battle' but that was like 'pre-battle'...*

*sigh* fine... I can wait... since I have to...*sigh*

har might be a brilliant theorist and spell crafter /adaptor but i think he'd wither with out a chance for action of some kind. If he wasn't an auror he'd be a duelist or a body guard or something else that requires decisive action... i think auror suits him well and it gives the authority he needs. there's enough time to become a noted spell crafter when he retires.
meantime, oh, i am looking forward to the fight scene.

Another good chapter, prelude to the action hmm? Hermione seems to be a bit reserved when it comes to things that just have to be done. Tsk tsk, she should know better; how else is someone going to keep a threat contained unless you take away (albeit temporarily) the threat? Can't wait to read the next chapter, all the action. ^.^ I await the next chapter.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they are now linked and Harry can hear Draco's thoughts. Ecstatic is more like it. Those first thoughts that Harry heard were just perfect. 'More than he deserved' and 'mine'... I loved those. Needy and possessive and I think Harry will respond to that and connect more with Draco making Draco more important to him and give him someone else to focus on rather than being obsessed with his work. I think it will help balance Harry. LOVE THIS!!!

Well, It's about time...I thought you would not eeeeverrr set it up
where the idea of the mind link going both ways would come about.

I, personally, thought Harry was at a disadvantage as time went on,
whenever Draco was privy to his thoughts & the fact it WOULD help during
extreme situations. Now, it seems like such a beautiful thing to happen
between them, no matter what the reason for it in the beginning.
