I don't know why, but I felt that ended abruptly. Still good though. I also for some reason I felt like their relationship towards the end was like Harry becoming a Mob wife lol.

and it's a good end... its a bit of a pity har didn't get to keep that ring though. it would've looked magnificent on him.
laughs. har has skeeta cozying up to him, who'd've though. but then you could say the same about him and draco too. ^^

your lemons are boiling as usual (lemon tea anyone?)
har's game, to let draco have free rain like that and while i can have some sympathy for those he robs, i agree with har. if the ministry doesn't care enough to stop him, why should har. let har direct his energies towards more useful ends.
I reckon draco will have less time for nicking stuff since he was just doing it a, to draw har's attention and b, to fill time. Not like he needs the money. Now he has har, who will always challenge him and he will rarely need to fill in time unless he wants too.
we must be getting nearish to the end, but my it's been a fun ride, so thanks so far.

oh, my, the wizarding world should have just let har catch malfoy. Now they've got to deal with a more and more united pair of them... the W W is so not ready for this in any way, size, shape or form. This duo are going to steam roll them. mwhahahaha. i look forward to the ride. ^^
besides, what better way to turn an addiction to a strength.

You know, now that I think about it, this story has definitely changed
    directions, it's going places I hadn't seen coming...and yes, that's good.

I'm glad the other auror will be cleared and in the black again. hmmm, i wonder just how many people malfoy has dancing on his strings. still, that trait my come in very handy for har. I doubt har will make use of it himself but i don;t doubt malfoy to grease the wheels a bit anyway unless har says not to. I think it will be a mammoth but worth while undertaking and i look forward to seeing how malfoy slots himself into it.

for some reason, Herbert reminds me of a character I used to read about
in a fantasy book a long time ago, but I can't really remember what it was,
I want to say it was the Dragon Chronicles.

anyway, I can 'tell' this was a filler ''episode'', but it was nice to see what
Harry has planned AND that he is willing to Draco a chance. :-)

..no matter how much he wants to kick his arse. :-]

sounds like har might be onto a winner. just because it's not done is no reason not to do it. =^.^= With Draco to, if you know you can't kick the addiction you can at least control the dosage neh?
it sounds like a promising start to the future and maybe the kids har influences will go on to show the current higher auror clunk miesters and paper generators how it should be done... well one can hope. >.> A running start never hurts.

    1. I keep forgetting to ask this, but what is 'flangst'?

    2. Now, that's a nice little spin in the universe that is HP, have
Harry get involved in how/what children are learning in their early years
as wizards & can there be an inclusion of Muggleborns.

I'm interested in seeing how you go about it.

First, awwww....you took the potrait dooowwwnnn! :-(
I thought it would have been a wonderful conversation
piece. *sigh* I shall miss it.

Second, I can see this all coming to a close and when I think
about it, would you say this story is borderline romance or more
about Harry 'freeing himself from restraints'?

easy har, small doses or the clunky, unwieldy, half outdated ship that is the ministry will shatter. It can't be turned or moved to fast neh? Still, that was very nicely done. mwhahaha. Still, i feel sorry for the other auror's trying to work under those gimps. poor sods. to nick a line out of a movie, 'it's hard to remain a loyal foot soldier when you realize the godfather is an idiot.'

hmmm, they're so used to being confrontational with each other, it will be interesting to see what they can do to learn a different way to react to each other... and what har will do with himself now. Draco to for that matter. thieving wont be anywhere near as much fun with out his main opponent to show off for.

    1. A lot of people seemed to think that Draco was being far too childish for it to be funny.
    - as long as you've been writing, I'm sure you have noticed..there will be a 'somewhat' vast
majority of people who 'just don't get it' AND it's mostly the younger crowd, those who ARE older
[..and I'm talking around 35%] either let it slide or learned over the years to not take situations
at face value and see the humor in things. I'm the latter surrounded by the 65% who just don't
    get it.

Bottom line...don't stop your brand of humor, simply because there are those who 'just don't get it'.

    2. ...and man, did this chapter feel ...brief. O_o

Well, that wasn't really what I was expecting. However, I'm glad that they've actually had a REAL conversation where they listened to what the other was saying. So, they're just as obsessed as they ever where with one another, but it's moved in a different direction. It move into a healthier relationship. Merlin, who knows.... Harry might actually kiss Draco again and really like it! *crosses fingers* It's too bad about Thorin being such a stickler for rules and won't realize that he's a bad auror! The DMLE deserves someone better!

Oh,I know that Draco isn't going to let it just rest there. He wouldn't Draco if he did, but Harry should know that he really shouldn't ignore Draco. That is the one thing he really hates. *sigh* Are we sure they're not still 13 and bickering over Quidditch games and House points? I'd like to smack them both and tell them to act like the grown ups they are supposed to be, and I think that 'Mione might not be too far off from that point with Harry. He's certainly not acting like a mature person, as far as Draco is concerned, but I am glad that he's gotten out of that craptastic environment that Thorin had made for Aurors. Bad supervisors make good cops go bad... I guess it's the same for the Aurors, yeah? Can't wait for the next chapter! ~ Mako
