I like that bit by Tolkien.. :-)

    Wooow! O_o

You need to let Harry cut loose like that more often!
Hell, it can also be freeing for the author to let loose
    steam every now & then.

Of course, if you don't want to do that here, there are the other stories.
All in all, I liked the intense emotion you gave this.

Also, out of curiosity, do you find yourself feeling you're weak in some
areas in writing? I'm just askin'....

I'll say they need to talk. With his power it would be far to easy for har to go mad axe murderer and justify it to himself. I'm glad he has draco their to balance him out. Though how are they going to dump the chickie back if they nick her broom. Leaving her on the island is as good as making snake/shark bait of her. It was pretty stupid of her to attack them though.

Ooo...just when you think you can leave the past it rears its
annoying head. But, I really think the 'person' was mauled by
a creature OR he could have been murdered, dumped in the sea and
some little fish got to nibbling.

Before I forget again, the title 'To the Sea...' where is that from?

lol. Mean to him. *sing song. :P
interesting. har has sadly had a lot of experience with death. were there indeed egg shells on the island or did it merely look like it?
well, charming, the first person they've seen since survivor lady and she's a DE. Is she relying on her wand due to a lack of wild magic or just doesn't want to give herself away? on the plus side, at least the two are likely to get a replacement broom for their group out of it once they've swatted the sow of it like the bug she is.

well, that was certainly dramatic. I wonder who that poor colonist was. Still, with Draco's claws and har's winds critters would be har pressed indeed to take them out. it's a pity they can't just live on air and magic. :P
I think it would take more than just two of them, no matter how powerful, to call the magic for baby making. on the plus side at least every mummi child knows that it's a wanted desired entity. there's no such thing as an accident... likely the same if humans figure how to make it work.

Snake-shark? Snake-shark...oh my God! Pleeease tell me
that wasn't inspired by that sci fi movie about the
anaconda/shark/octopus or whatever tha' hell it was!
    O_O

Even so, that was a nice touch. :-)

Oh, and for the record, I second the idea of Harry & Draco
having a newborn creation that is theirs alone. I'm actually
curious to see how you go about writing that out.

Ah will Draco and Harry create their own child at some point. Witnessing something like that occurring between two males attached by wild magic seems to point them in that direction. Also, I can't help but wonder if they'll decide to move their encampment closer to the ocean. I don't know how much work that would take as they would have the green house plants to move with them. I guess they still wield wizard magic, so they could shrink things and pack much like they did before arriving on Hurricane.

*gasp* Could this possibly turn into mpreg? lol. I don't think you've ever done that.

Wow that was so unexpected! So do all the mummids go to the ocean to mate and reproduce? Was it the ocean that gave the sand/ocean that gave the mummids the power to do that? Can other creatures use that power as well? hint hint Draco and Harry.

sorry for the previous lack of review... i very foolishly decided it was late and i'd review in the morning... only to find the site had crashed. >>

I'm glad har and draco are getting closer, becoming more of a unit. It's what they need and not just for survival.

Anyway, Wow! that's utterly amazing. I wondered how the Mummi's would do that since it takes two or three or more to make a person. So, if a 'person' wants a child they perform the dance to become the focus of their flocks power until a new individual is created... that's utterly awesome. And Hurricane's magic celebrates all births/life creations? I doubt the humans can muster that sort of cohesion/power yet so they'll probably have to stick to the old fashioned way.

Wooow, now THAT was different. Is that something ANY being on
Hurricane can do, if they are affected by wild magic [hint..hint]?

I wanted to ask this, but it seems like Hurricane is
almost...alive? Like the winds are an entity or...uhh
crap I can't think of the word...symbiant would be the
    better word?

Draco actually has a very good point. I'm glad har agreed to it.
I can relate to not wanting to be the bad guy... and har had enough on his plate as it was.
Still, making them sleep outside just cause she doesn't like malfoy, not cool.
All i can say about dear aunties attitude towards draco is... her loss, seriously. Har and draco are becoming great together and she's missing it by hanging onto old hurts. Draco is right though, if har does end up leaving her alone, it'll be her own fault.

that is extremely short sighted of the ministry... but no big surprise really. considering the worlds current state. i wonder how long it will be before it collapses again.

Lovely chapter; there wasn't a lot of drama. Everyone seemed to be focusing on developing relationships or correcting old ones. The last line was especially warm and light. (sorry those the words that came to me :) )
