Ooooh my gosh I started reading yesterday and I'm literally obsessed. Pleeeease upload ASAP - I'm addicted!! When I finished chapter 15 I was panicking about whether or not this is an abandoned story - it was almost as bad as reading the last page of HP itself!
I am really impressed by how you manage to use their given personalities - this is the best Snape - Granger shift I've ever read!
Oh, and could you add me to the mailing list? Thank you so much! ~ Rose

hermione saying "Your body seems to think differently" made me slightly sick. it reminded me too much of 'your lips say "no" but your body is saying "yes" ' that rapists use...which may or may not have been your intention. but both of them seriously gotta learn to stop when somebody tells them to stop though.

after that last update i have no idea which direction this story is gonna take but i'm both excited and worried, and also anxious for the next chapter!

First off, thank you for updating so quickly. Secondly, these two are so screwed up. Severus wants to deny that their relationship could be anything more than physical, and Hermione seems to think that good sex is going to turn him into a different man. I hope she goes to Nigel and finds out what the hell is really going on. Just because Snape is giving him "lessons" doesn't mean he's having sex with him (he didn't even have all his clothes off when she walked in on them--and Snape claims to be sexually exhausted). Her animosity toward Nigel is disturbing/catty, but at the same time understandable. Her derogatory attitude seems more likely to be caused by her jealously at their perceived intimacy than because of any anti-gay sentiments. I wish she'd just stayed in the room and found out the truth.
So looking forward to finding out what happens next. I am far too excited whenever I see this updated.

Good gracious! She is a glutton for punishment and anguish, isn't she? I don't know what's in his head, nor do I care to give myself a headache figuring it out, as he is too complex to be human, but how the heck did she stay after his comments that she was basically raping him?! I would have been horrified, embarrassed and angry, but not sad. By the numbers, I am guessing he leans toward men, so I think she is screwed in her "love" for him, but I don't think finding another person to have sex with is going to fix even a portion of all that's wrong with her. I would feel sorry for her, if I wasn't so blown away by her sheer craziness. lol Thanks again... fascinating as always! HG4eva

I might be well off the mark but....... I think that Severus is the creator of the line of Novelty products. He has certainly explored and mastered the world of adult sex games in the muggle world, and now that he's unemployed and down on funds, he's created a business model in a field he knows a lot about for the wizarding world. With magic added to the 'toys' a lot more avenues and explorations are available. Such possibilities that were absent with mundane products that would have eventually frustrated any 'normal' magical so inclined.

I also suspect that Severus is behind the line of products in that he was suspiciously already at the shop, in the work room even though there was no indication that the advertisement was going to be answered that evening. Hermione also mentions that she never saw a separate ad for a male. I also doubt Severus would ingest any test product before reviewing the potion recipe thoroughly.

During the day, George is busy running a successful business. When the heck does George have time to tinker with the novelty product line? yet, every evening, immediately at the close of his joke shop, he's got new products to test and shows off finished products in packaging that could have only been worked on during the day. Then we 'see' that Severus is suspiciously absent during the day. His door is always shut. He could be working out the kinks down in his potion's room.

Additionally, Fred was what 19 or 20 when he died? And prior to his death, he and his brother were busy opening up a shop, creating prank items for sale and participating in the war efforts, when the hell did he have time or the skill set or time to create these sex toys and in secret. No, I think Severus approached George with a business proposition. Being a business man, George saw an opportunity to make money and a means to pay back his perceived personal debt to Severus as well as help a fellow Order member out......

Was Severus' foray with Nigel two fold? One, to force a confrontation with Hermione and her feelings as well as working out a new product?

I'd really LOVE to see some interactions with other magicals. Perhaps have Ron show up at the convention to support his brother's new line? And have him unknowingly oogle Hermione....

Great chapter! I wonder if Hermione will try to make Severus jealous or if that will back fire on her. He did tell her to go find another man and leave for the night. I wonder what's the reason for Severus wanting Hermione out of the house.

OMG!!! Why did you do this Severus?!
I'm not really sure I understand their behavior.... They need to talk, really talk I think...

Oh and I thought about the "milk duds" in the last chapter & I think Severus is not really comfortable about it because it replicates motherhood and breastfeeding and maybe it's to close to home for his comfort... (regarding his own mother) (?)

Anyway THANK YOU & Update soon, please ;-)

In the beginning the storyline seems insanely absurd and I can not believe you make it work so well. So kudos to you on that.

As to the last two chapters:
Both Hermione and Severus made each other have physical contact of some form against the other ones will. It made me feel uncomfortable when Hermione did it first but now it just seem to be part of their power play.

Also while my initial reaction was "poor Hermione" on walking on the *lesson* the way she talked about Nigel was extremely unpleasant. Also she was thrown out of the house in a nightgown? How is she supposed to find casual sex partner dressed like that? (Not that I think she would go trying to find casual sex after that exchange. I was simply saying Severus isn't being all that logical himself)

Also it seemed weird she couldn't hex him without the wand as I thought wand was needed for the transfiguration of the hammock. But that's nitpicking and my cannon knowledge is probably compromised at this point.

The whole yes-no game Severus keeps playing is driving me mad so I hope you're satisfied ;)

Wow! This was a real rollercoaster of a chapter! Well done! I love Severus, but his strange vagueness about what he's thinking and feeling would start to wear on me if I was Hermione. I can't wait for the next one!

At the end, is Severus implying that she find someone else to have sex with that night?

WHAT! This story has me on the edge of my seat. I LOVE IT! What is going on between Severus and Hermione? Is she losing her mind? He seems to be taunting her and trying to get a rise out of her. There is no way that his lesson was conveniently the same day and time as her return after their fight. I completely understand her insanity. Personally, i can't even figure out Severus' deal at the moment. Anyway, hope that you update soon. love this story.

I have to say, I'm a bit frustrated with both Hermione and Severus right now. Hermione has been rather demanding to Severus - asking him to have sex then asking him to cuddle with her even if he seems unwilling. I do agree with him that she might not know what she wants. Additionally, I dislike how derogatory she is Nigel (and as an extension - people who are gay) just because she is jealous of his relationship with Severus. As well, I was uncomfortable with how she seemed to disregard his opinion about whether he even wanted sex by taking his biological reaction for mental consent.

At the same time, Severus is making me want to knock his head against a wall. I found it very strange that he said that she was objectifying him - did wanting to cuddle with him not indicate that she might want something more than sex? And despite how he told her that she didn't consider that he might not want sex on his day off, he did have Nigel come for a lesson. That just seems kind of hypocritical and confusing. He also went to cuddle with her after she walked in on him with Nigel - and was playful with her. That just seems out of bounds of consoling a housemate and then he turns down the possibility of a relationship. I think Severus is really just as culpable as Hermione in not knowing what he wants, and like her, needs to decide. Lastly, asking her to leave and not be in the same house is fine since they both need time away from each other. Asking her to go out to have sex is not alright. I'm not sure how he thinks that will solve anything.

As far as things go, I'm a bit disappointed in how immature the two are being (as you can probably see). I really do hope they have a nice long talk soon.

Prose-wise, I think the semicolon usage has gotten better :) Make sure you keep an eye out for the '"...blah blah blah," He said.' typos though!

I also want to say that it's great that you show that Severus - and by extension, pass on the message that - is accepting of LGBTQIA+ relationships while pointing out some of the stigma and potential misconceptions. As well, that you for updating so quickly! I look forward to reading the next chapter :)

Love this story. I love Severus and Hermione stories. You have done a wonderful job portraying them both. My heart breaks a little more each time Nigel weasels his way into the story, though. I'm really starting to hate him. I felt so bad for Hermione when she walked in on them. I hope Severus starts to understand that even though she may be lacking in experience, she knows how she feels with him and that it's different than anything before. I just think he needs a little more openness from her maybe. Can't wait until the next chapter! I'm off to read some other ss/hg stories in attempts to heal my heart from that scene. I literally felt her pain...happy writing! Don't leave us hanging too long please.
