Girl, you got me holding my breath for the next chapter, you know that?

I'd love to write down my thoughts about your characters, but I don't speak English very well. So sorry.

    Keep going. It's amazing!

excellent, excellent chapter! and your author's note makes a great point, i often forget the amount of trauma they've had to endure b/c of the war and all the emotional damage and ptsd that comes with it. it sheds a lot of light on their behavior towards each other.

the bit with charlie and contracting the std from him though...yikes! hermione says she really didn't learn anything from that experience in regards to severus, but she did learn a valuable lesson: don't go off having unprotected sex.
but i'm glad hermione finally got to talk with ginny, she'd been bottling up her emotions about the whole situation for far too long!

the scene where snape is leaning on hermione's shoulder, presumably crying (or trying not to?), is very telling of his emotional state. he's far more fragile than he's been letting on, and quick to deny himself love.
but everything he's been doing seems very self-destructive though. playing the mind games with hermione, the violent sex, pushing her away from him while simultaneously being intimate with her, and then there's his bringing in nigel, somebody he clearly has a past with and puts his defenses down for. i thought perhaps the thing with being with nigel & hermione was just his polygamous nature, but i'm not so sure anymore.... it seems like more self destructive behavior from him. it's almost like he's collecting a jar of hearts.

i'd like to see a conversation happen between hermione and nigel, partly so i can learn more about what his relationship to severus was before and gain a different perspective on it, and partly because it might do some good to clear the animosity that's formed between the two of them. but i won't hold out hope for that, i doubt you'd satisfy our curiosity that easily with this fic :P

but again, this was another fantastic and thought provoking update! and i'm extremely curious and excited to see what's going to happen~ c:

    An update!
So now Hermione knows what she wants. And Severus probably as well. And it feels like he perhaps wants something with her too - he is just too hesitant to commit.
Charlie part was interesting. Thank you and please write more.

That was another very very steeamy chapter. I like thd tension which this Nigrl brought in the story. I think it is time for Hermione to move out of Spinner's End. She has worked for George for auite some time and she has gained enough money. And as she can't accept Severus' poligamic nature - this is the only way to sustain her pride and dignity. And she has a right to do it as Severus is so confusing like most men - they speak one thing but fo the opposite. I thin it will do him good to live a little without Hermione. He seems to be indifferent and not affected of yhe fact that Hermione slept with another man but it maybe only what he shows in the outside. He is a strange creature. Poligamic... but that does not seem to work well with Hermione. I hope you update as often as you have done recently.

I think this chapter must be my favourite of the lot, even with the whole Charlie and Flinge thing.

This story continues to be completely addictive, even though I hate Nigel for complicating issues even further between Severus and Hermione! And even more complications with Severus throwing Hermione out, and then Charlie in Tunis and the Flinge...I hope the next chapter comes soon!

That was awesome. Someone was listening to RENT..... brilliant! I thought that her sleeping with Charlie was kinda gross. But I guess that's the whole point. (Charlie always seems to me like your friends older brother who's always leering at you and your friends when you're out by the pool. Creeper. Anyways....) I liked that whole "flinge". That's such a creative std. You're so creative! Not only do you do sex toys but stds too. I liked how at the end she throws back his comments back at him. Finally she's starting to grow some back bone. I realize that she's been through some tough times and that she's suffering from ptsd, but come on...Hermione is confident and strong. Hopefully she'll take her shower and give severus a good kick in the ass. Then maybe he'll see that he's being a moron for constantly pushing her away. But he's so sweet to he when she's not looking...aww we. I really hope you update soon.

    (Oh here's part two :D)

I never read a story that is so well written, both physically and emotionally thrilling. I love how their twisted relationship slowly, almost innocently develops and how they got seemingly closer until it all fell apart somehow now. And how you make me question the motives and actions of either Hermione or Severus - or even both.

Since it's her perspective I identify more with Hermione and though rationally I can understand Severus' arguments about how she objectifies him and doesn't know his secrets and so on, I still feel for her a lot. She clearly doesn't know what she really wants - although it's not hard to guess... getting to know Severus better, getting closer on a different level, having a deeper relationship additionally to the sex. Maybe it was the sex that stirred her interest but to me it was obvious rather early that she tried to know him better, understand his actions and reasons and feelings. It's not as if she kept it purely physical and mistook that for love.

She might be conservative (but I agree here) to expect that he wouldn't have sexual relations outside of theirs, but then he never promised anything and he never said he was faithful to her. However, it's understandable for me that she gets jealous and even mad.

To me, it seems as if he knows exactly what she wants (which is why it's like he's teasing her to ask her to name it) and even likes her in a way, too, but he tries to scare her away somehow. He lets her get close to him, move in, have shower sex, apparently enjoys their coupling, then suddenly pushes/scares her away by bringing someone else into the game and even goes as far as to bring that person to his house and not locking his door. It's like he was testing her reactions. Trying really bad to show her what he "really is".

Yes, she's more inexperienced than him and he never held it against her before. But now he tells her she should get some more experience before being with him? And throws her out without anything?

He's very unfair by treating her this way. Yes, she pushed, but he allowed her to live with him and even told her about his attraction. Physically, he really opened up. And then he basically tells her she's just one in so many and not even of his preferred sex. Wow.

Now that she's at her "lowest", I am desperately waiting for Hermione to kinda "rise". To get a grip of the situation and prove herself. To be more confident (but not in the way that she tries to have sex with him) and vouch for her feelings. To make him take her serious.

Really curious about what happens next!!

    xx

I don't quite know where to start, but I'll just try and get it all out :) I found your story a while ago and since it hadn't been updated for months I thought it was abandoned. So it made me really happy when I stumbled upon it again and there were new chapters!

This whole story should really be called "Sexual Tension".
You are a master at writing the tension that is so obvious
    between the two of them.

You know - I don't know what to say. Or mostly how to structure all thoughts that filling my head after last chapter into something understandable and logical. )))
So first of all I want to thank you! In the end of the chapter I was so filled with emotions, I wanted to DO smth so much! Mostly slap Severus for his behavior. =)))
And I want to clarify that I didn't see Hermione's actions as rape, because as she said herself he could easily stop her. So it was his choice.
And yes, she is looking like a nympho, but, as I see it, in her mind it's her only way to get to Severus.
Now after all that happened I think that it would be best for her to move out for some time. Maybe it will bring her some relief and clear her thoughts, and also maybe just maybe Severus will miss her a little (however I doubt it). ))
And also I think that if Hermione will try to hide her emotions and feelings for him, it can turn tables. Because to change his behavior, Severus needs some shaking.

Once again, thank you so much! I love this chapter (and the whole story)!
