-whistles- This story has officially jumped to the top of my list. This chapter felt so raw and real and i must applaud you for not falling into the typical cliches quite a few other stories have fallen into nowadays. The whole talk was so nice and the ending where everyone jumped in to help Hermione was so sweet. Any chance Harry and Ron and perhaps Neville could be convinced to join these sessions? God knows those two need it just as much as Hermione and Neville could use it for a chance at closure. And on a side note i am actually kind of glad that Hermione doesn't instantly jump on the 'forgive Malfoy' bandwagon. She has had to deal with 7 years of his bigotry and it is only natural that she would have so much pent up rage against him and feel insulted that only now after the smoke has cleared that he might want to change his tune. Now i am the kind of guy who despises the concept of a 'Grey area' in morality and have been told numerous times that i see the world in black in white(trying to fix that btw) so it is a testament to your ability as a writer that i find myself feeling remorse for the Slytherin girl with the Death Eater father who was killed and Blaise who in his own words was neutral and didn't want to hurt anyone but wasn't looking to be anyone's hero. The path to forgiveness, redemption and recovery is long and filled with obstacles.

I found the second half of this chapter very hard to read. Particularly when Teodora had them go around in that circle. I had a lump in my throat the whole time. It was very moving for such a simple concept.
I feel as if a lot of writers in fanfiction gloss over the war. As if it occurred, lives were lost but now that Voldemort is dead everyone is fine. People are rehabilitated, everyone is happy and their lives have moved into the category of perfection. I'm always happy with a story that shows the effects a war would really have on someone. The trauma that they must continue to survive from, and the devastation they must learn to live with. I really am enjoying how you've been setting that up. You didn't jump in to perfection and I appreciate that. I love that Harry is falling apart, that Ron has lost himself. I'm amazed that Draco wasn't magically rehabilitated and accepted into society, or that after a few chapters everyone started to like him. I like that Hermione is angry and unsure and desperate to find her footing, as well as scared and lost. I love that Teodora is making them face what happened in the war and the roles each of them played, if only in the most minimal sense for now.
I sincerely hope that you do not rush this along. I hope Hermione continues to stay angry with the world and especially with Malfoy. I hope that it doesn't just change because a month or two of nice behaviour proves to her that he's a new person. I hope that this story progresses as you would expect somebody coming out of war would progress.
I can not wait for more. I'm very impressed so far and I hope you continue to update regularly!

Will you believe me if I tell you that I already wrote this review twice and this xxxxxxx website swallowed it as many times?

Okay, sigh, I should calm down to write at least one or two things of what I had originally planned to say (this time, I'm typing in MS Word beforehand!).

So, I genuinely loved this chapter, it's one of my favourite so far.
First, because of the length: as if I had two chapters in one.
Then, because of Draco's brilliant speech: I like how his speech is deeply rooted in what happened to his character. I don't know whether it's OOC or not to have him seek redemption but I feel like it made sense. It's one of the things I always wish I'd see in Draco: admitting he took side, he did have a choice (as minimal as it was) but choose to not act. I don't blame him for it at all and I even like how, even when he was in that situation, he could neither kill Dumbledore, nor expose our Trio... I like how his character managed to not become totally evil but I still think that he could have done more, and chose to remain in-between the two sides. You made my dream come true with this speech. He admitted he was wrong but by doing so, he didn't seem weak at all, on the contrary! __wow, this is way more than what I had written at first!__
Finally, I'm proud of Hermione and her resolution to seek help. Oh, and the new DADA's character is good too, not far-fetched at all from what we know of the HP universe.

I should be the one hugging you, you know? I'm officially addicted to your story and you always bring me awesome chapters to soothe my hunger!

crazy evil is fun there's so much to play around with that just turning evil evil if you get my drift. But still it begs the question if she can come back from it or does she want to come back from it. Its an on going struggle but I can't wait to see how she shapes up as the story goes on. Hermione is a victim, she is not just a victim of war, she is a victim of circumstance, she was a muggle born who from the start was hated for her blood, her knowledge, her magic. Rather than being accepted she was scorned, devalued and a stain upon the very purity purebloods hoped to keep in and so on. This begs the question now if all purebloods will take up arms to listen to the prince of all purebloods or rebel. Hermonie though has every right to be angry, to hold a grudge, to go mad, but what does that later evolve into? The aspects of growth only contain to one who will willingly seek help, and that is what Hermonie did but who is to say that madness will not creep back in and take root. What a balance you have constructed in your story, bravo. I bow to you and your story because for the first time in a long time it feels real.

Another thing I forgot to put in my previous review is I really enjoy how you portrayal Hermione in this as someone suffering from a severe case of PTSD and i never really viewed her as someone going "dark"ala Bellatrix. And not to knock Tori's review I think there are a large number of us who like Hermione just the way she is in this fic, A young woman dealing with the aftermath of war and making her ahem..."saucy" or a "vixen" would kinda take away from this kind of story and make a far less interesting Draco/Hermione pairing, at least for this story. And believe me when i say i am a major fan of a sexy domineering dark Hermione and Draco pairing, just not for this one, doesn't have that kind of feel to it. And i also adore Bellatrix, she was an awesome villain but ya need to remember she was never quite all there even before Azkaban and was what TV tropes would classify as a 'complete monster' long beforehand. Also would have preferred it if Neville had been the one to take her out not Molly.

Hmm pretty impressive speech from Draco, although it's no surprise that people are second guessing him given his history. The road to redemption is a long and tough one and it will be interesting to see if anyone will be willing to go all the way and accept any Slytherin as the war has left quite a large stain on their credibility. This is an awesome story, a bit different from the typical Draco/Hermione which is a good thing and I am happy to see that Lucius wasn't given the karma houdini treatment like he was in canon and is actually paying for his crimes here. You also really capture the emotional upheavals the characters are experiencing which is expected in a post-war setting. kudos

I am a VICTIM OF CLIFFHANGERS! *lol* ok ok I must say that the last two chapters have me stomped and then some, while the chapter 6 seemed like a chapter, chapter 7 picked up that pace and left us with a shocker. I am impressed with your writing and dare I say I find I can't wait for naughty, angry saucy Hermoine to come out. Shcoker draco a good little monkey? doing good little deeds, have the tables turned? Is our badboy our good boy now! And what about harry what is he up to and has he gone off the bin, will he be the one who turns dark or is he or has he ever been, crazy. Herminone always been a slytherin at heart ya know so its nice to see her blossom into her full self. I like the cover up the fake smiles, the self harming, the inner darkness coming to the surface, its just the beginning of the maddness to come!* Cackles wickedly.* Do we have another bellatrix on our hands. I found Bella amazingly done, but how she died by molly's hand seemed so cheap. I mean let's face it when you have dementors sucking out your soul you have little choice but to become insane. But the biggest question is can Hermione retain her balance in light and dark, tetering on each side or will we have the hermonie we always wanted, one that will rise up and be the vixen we knew she can be. Time what a wicked mistress, I can't wait to see what she does.

And so it began. . .
D-Day has come! There're so many things to review here: from the George/Hermione moment, to Hermione's scary episode, to her arrival at Hogwarts and the cliffhanger at the end ("what the...? Draco? Draco Malfoy?", more shocked than our heroin).
Now, I'm a little confused about my own expectations regarding the story. True, I'd have never thought of George/Hermione and I wonder what he's thinking BUT they seemed quite natural - to me at least. Am I cheating on Dramione?
As for them, precisely, I really want to know how they'll get together. I can't figure out how their 'first' meeting will be. Also, what is Headmistress McGonagall planning?

Thank you a lot for being so consistent with your updates. I don't like to review that much but seeing so many updates just make me want to give you support and tell you how I appreciate what you write.

@chpt 6: First off another amazing chapter! I love that you gave George some strength back, I think of all the brothers bedsides Bill and Charlie he would be the one to be able to process and move through it the best. So very well done there! Hermione to me is a pillar of strength. Now that she has had the time to mourn and has got her self out of that environment she needs to retake that strength and light she has and rise like a phoenix from the flames of war. To me J.K always made her the light in the books, is was always to one that knew what to do, the one they always turned to like you said. Its time she remember that and becomes the take no shit get your act together strong woman she is and go whip Harry ass out of his mope, which is where you seem to be heading. Now all she needs are her parents and a certain blondie ;) You're doing awesome so far and where ever you take this I'll keeping reading, I'm hooked!

    O-M-G! George and Hermione?
How come I'm not even shocked? Well, it'd be harder for me to ship Draco/Hermione in the story if there was a George/Hermione pairing but...but... honestly, I don't feel upset by that possible pairing. That must be your writing: I feel so close to Hermione that it's easy to understand why she's considering George.
I want to read this chapter again.
    OMG, George & Hermione!

Emotional, heart wrenching, and apprehensive all in one go, I have to say that this subject matter is close to my heart. I use to suffer with panic attacks and major depressive disorder. I've found that this story has taken a steady pace, now I worry because living in a flat like that by herself can do that for a person, so having George perhaps as a friend might help our girl to recover. Ah but will she allow herself to take it. You know something I felt that Herm will never be over Ron in the sense that he was her first and her friend but on the other hand she's moving on to bigger and better things. I feel that I can't wait till she gets to school ya know and to see how things progress. Can I ask you something as a writer to writer? can you continue to write this even after you end? Its just I've fallen in love ya know, ooh don't mind me I just get tingles everytime I read your work.
