Harry's plan of calling the snakes has me worried the Ministry will claim them as companions

For one moment, I thought Harry would tell Narcissa the truth about what she and her husband had done. Then I read further and realized it probably wouldn't have done any good if he had done that. It does make me wonder though what would have happened to their memory if Harry had told them they had a son. Most likely they wouldn't have believed him, but magic has a strange way of working sometimes.

I'm surprised that this is the end of this particular part already. Don't ask me why, because I don't know LOL But it ended on a good note. ^^
I'm looking forward to the oneshot and to the longer chaptered story afterwards :)

So they gave Narcissa a flaw to make sure she could take over Voldemort's position and it turns out to be useless for her *snorts* Their own fault I suppose. I'd had thought they would have been more wary when it came to the Ministry and its rituals, not in the least because of their suspicious nature.
Now she went through a ritual that was supposed to give them more power and instead it is driving her to the point of insanity because she can't use her flaw efficiently.
It's interesting that the scar is the flaw though - of course she can't control it thanks to her lack of Parseltongue, but it's interesting nonetheless.
I do admit that I'm a bit curious as to what exactly was spoken to that scar with the Translation spell - for some reason I can't imagine the spell worked perfectly because it is Parseltongue and not an ordinary language like Spanish or so.

I wonder whether Draco will succeed in helping Narcissa, but I guess that's something we'll find out in the next chapter or so

Like always a lovely read and I'm looking forward to the next one :)

I'm kind of feeling sorry for Narcissa...right now & Athright doesn't seem
right to me, she seems suspicious, like there's a hidden motive somewhere.

It makes sense that Narcissa wouldn't understand Parseltongue (as far as I can remember it's not something you can learn or acquire; it's something you either have or you don't - though I could be wrong as it has been a while since I last read any of the books or books associated with the serie) but that makes her flaw even more intriguing. After all what's the point in having a snake as scar and such if you don't understand Parseltongue? I have a feeling we'll found out soon how she acquired it and what it actually does.

I'm a bit tired, so maybe that's the reason why I'm confused, but wouldn't they hear Harry hissing? Or did I manage to read over the part where they cast spells that would somehow silence the space around certain parts? @_@ Or I'm just being too quick again and everything will be made clear in the next chapter.

Aside from that little ramble, it was an interesting chapter :)

This is an example of no matter how old we get, no matter how estranged
we become deep down we always want that special relationship with our parents.

As an outsider looking in, it really seemed like pride got in the way between parent
& child...and no compromises wasn't to be had. If the Malfoys ever got back to their senses
& knew what went down after they 'forgot' Draco, I wonder would they decide to overcome their
    pride?

Also, it's good to see Harry & Draco back on good terms again..as in they aren't tiptoeing around
each other because of 'that incident'. To see them playful for a change brings a smile to my face.
    :-)

Now, BRING ON THE CASUALTY you have hidden in your arsenal...and RUIN our good feelings!

    Guess I was a bit too hasty with my question in the last chapter ^^;

Harry's explanation about the bracelet was very interesting (makes me wonder though, that if the necklace works the same way, how they found a nest of snakes and confined them to one space with the mirror near them - somehow I have trouble envisioning such a space in the Malfoy manor, but then again I could be wrong).

I do wonder as well why the snake scar reacted so badly when Harry tried talking to it. One would think it would be happy to be able to talk to someone, but I assume there is an explanation for that as well.

Anyway, an interesting chapter :) Looking forward to the next one

    1. Well...it's...about...time.

That damn conversation was long overdue I thought, especially with all that
has been going on with the investigation, constant surprises, & bloody zombies
everywhere you look coming at them. They needed to reconnect not as partners, but
    mostly as lovers as well.

..and cater to Draco's ego as well. *sings* he's got a huge e-go! [listen to Beyonc

I couldn't help but giggle when Harry said "No shit, genius" XD Short, but perfect response LOL At least they resolved their little ongoing spat. Talking still seems to be a difficult thing for them

I'm curious; are we going to find out more about Narcissa's flaw? Somehow I don't think you would be content with just occasionally mentioning it - I'm especially curious as to what her flaw has to do with snakes.

I'm really looking forward to the moment Harry calls up a big amount of snakes to hold everyone back LOL I can already imagine the look on those people's faces XD

As always, an intriguing chapter ^^

After reading this chapter, the way the Ministry thought when talking to the Aurors actually makes sense. It's reasonable to assume that enemies would try to extract the information through torture, so casting a curse that sets itself in motion during those moments makes sense. Of course they hadn't anticipated one of their own Aurors willingly parting with the information. An interesting twist.

It seems that Harry is quicker to forgive Draco completely for hurting him than vice versa. I do wonder though: did Draco really think that he would have been okay if Harry hadn't casted the counter spell to the one of the Necromancy? Because I get the feeling that some of his pride is hurt because he thought that performing the Necromancy spell was a good idea and Harry saved him from it. Or maybe I'm reading him wrongly.

    Anyway, another interesting chapter ^^

    1. What was Thacker position in the Ministry where no one seemed to notice him?

    2. The question is out of the blue...but Harry is without glasses in this story right?
Being an Socrates Auror & all..

    3. WHEN is Draco going to confront the issue about how he feels or is HArry going to have
    to read his mind?
