Wow, 8 chapters and I have only reviewed 3 times. Shame on me and I apologize. ANYWAYS, I love this story and wish it would come out faster! lol I like the different take on things. It's a great "what if" story. What if the Dursely's never found Harry, what if the Potters never died etc. You're doing a great job melding original details in with your own and it's a pleasure to read. Is it to everyone's tastes? No. But perhaps it will help them expand their creative mind and get them to start thinking outside the "box" most worlds create. I know I have been! Can't wait to read more! Also, thank you for not going with the general idea that Lily and James are always in the right or pure good/evil Dumbles. I am so sick of that and this seems more realistic!

I'll be honest here: Story sucks. It seems to be a 'bash on James, Lily and Albus for things that they could not control' story and that is just insanity.

Again, NONE of what happened to Harry is to blame on James, Lily nor Albus. They left him somewhere where they thought that he would be safe. Yes, they were wrong, however who has not been wrong about things like that in their lifetime.

Harry and the rest seem like petulant arses who are blaming James, Lily and Albus for shit that they were not around to even know about. Not to MENTION that they were touring the world to get rid of Voldemort for good and yet.... no one wants to use some LOGIC here and stop blaming them?

Again, Severus and all of the anti-Potter brigade seem like arseholes who are just looking for someone to blame for shit when they have already gotten and punished the people who were to blame for Harry's abuse.

I like it. Really do. I didn't expect to because both Lucius and Narcissa and Sev to a degree are sooooooooooo Out of character that even with some AU leeway they've still pretty much character swapped by 180 degrees.I mean Lucius eager to dress up in *that* outfit to emulate a muggle? Wow, just wow. and yet...and yet....I still like it. I can't explain it. I'm so tired of Harry going through shit and everything is just this huge build-up and afterward you end up depleted and sad and thinking what shall I do now with my life after all that is over and there was just this measly 2 paragraph epilouge. I want more of the happy...after all that Shite I just bloody want him to be happy in a context that doesn't include him being pregnant or getting somebody pregnant.Or popping out 18 children before his 25th birthday( no names mentioned, hemhem). This has more normal stuff, fun stuff, healing stuff. So yeah, plz do continue. Also, I love the photobombing rabbit. I don't think any of the adults would have known what that word meant as they had no context to learn it but yeah, Bug FTW.

I wasn't going to review but after reading the last two reviews, decided that I must. First, I love this story. It has an interesting premise and, as is usual for you, it is handled with sensitivity. I appreciate that you gave us the opening and then had Sirius look back over the time so we didn't get bogged down in unnecessary details but you provided us with the information we would need to go forward. I, for one, appreciate how you foreshadow, giving enough so we know that something is probably going to happen and while we may have some idea of who, how, what, where, when and why, we don't really know for sure. It keeps us guessing and it makes reading this story exciting. You make the characters so read that the reader becomes emotionally invested in them.

This chapter made me cry. I hurt for Harry, for his confusion, for his anger and for the lost little boy who needed to know that while he was going through all that horrendous stuff, someone, somewhere, had in fact once loved him. This chapter showed just how far Harry has come from the way he was in Chapter 1. It was awesome.

What I found interesting about the last two reviews is that they were posted by people who obviously did not read with comprehension. First, it is stated quite plainly that Harry was taken off the doorstep before the Dursley's ever saw him. Therefore, they would have no reason to alert anyone that he was missing. Second, while I have appreciated your "action" in other stories, this story demands a different approach as, as this chapter demonstrates, so much is psychological and emotional, not physical. I won't even get into how foreshadowing is not unnecessary bits of fluff.

Anywho, thanks for a great chapter and, as always, I look forward to the next one. Hopefully we'll see everyone decked out in their garb and I'll find out if I caught the hint I think you made.

I'm sorry, but the whole premise of this story is bunkus. No, James, Lily and Dumbledore do NOT have any of the blame for what happened to Harry. They left him with people who they assumed, because they were FAMILY, would take good care of him. Yes, it was the Dursley's.... however, Lily might have actually thought that Petunia would have set aside her dislike of 'unnaturalness' (magic is no such thing) to take care of a child, even a magical one.

The only ones to blame for what happened to Harry are the Dursley's. No one else.

I sometimes find myself getting frustrated with some of your chapters. I can see that you're putting a bit of information in, but nothing's actually happening. What happened in this last chapter? They talked. That's it. They. Talked. I would have liked to have seen them do more than just talk. Your chapters are long, but most of the time it's just filler. Stuff that we don't really need, or that could've been shortened so that you would've had the space to add something else.

You also do a lot of telling, rather than showing. If you tell me something, I feel like you think I'm too stupid to understand what's going on. Don't tell me that someone did or didn't like something. Show me that they did or didn't like something. Show me through their actions, their expressions. Don't insult me by just blatantly telling me.

I was wondering how long it would take before they tried to see him. Will Harry ever give his siblings a chance? I mean, they are just kids. Great chapter as always!

Wow...I am glad Arthur and Molly are taking Harry's side in this. It really serves the others right. I don't care what the reason, you don't abandon your child like that. Sad to hear Ginny died, but I like the twist since most people write a different way for her to live or ignore that all together.

    Ch. 3

After reading the first chapter I was quite ambivalent about continuing with the story, and so didn't read Chapter Two. Not quite sure why I decided to check it out again, but I'm glad I did. I am so relieved that you skipped ahead with the timeline. The upcoming chapters should be extremely interesting as Harry copes with what he is sure to feel is another betrayal. Can't wait to find out what Albus, James and Lily react when they learn all the details.
