I have to say I'm glad it worked out this way. And am I wrong but was the odd weary look from Snape because he would be willing to retaliate against one of his own Slytherins if he had continued to be an enemy of Harry? Or because it was another young life that had went so wrong?

Voldemort got Lucius pegged- He's a very slippery snake. Excellent update!

I love, love, love this story! I can't stop reading it even though I just only recently found it. I think your way of revealing the plot and twists is amazing. I love the surprises and I love the pairing. Thanks for making such great fanfiction. This fandom needs more stories like this. :DD

Thanks for the update! One big error you might want to change...Draco's name should be Dash:

'he flinched when Draco put out a curious tongue to sniff his cheek...'

That was fast and good thinking on Lucius side and a good deal of work for Minerva, but she seems to be handling it quite well.
Hope Draco sees reason in Harry's actions and that Harry gives a bit lovely dovely stuff to Draco so he will be calm again.

    1. “I will go nowhere like this!” Karkaroff kept from stammering, but Harry could see how violently
he flinched when Draco put out a curious tongue to sniff his cheek,

    2. Will Dash ever see Voldemort for himself...or Nagini?

Something tells me it's about to get unnecessarily complicated. :-/

I can see this blowing up in Draco's face and getting Harry really upset with him if Blaise ends up dead or hurt because Draco didn't trust them to get justice for who is responsible for starting this mess of trying to use snake poison. I just hope Lucius doesn't try to get help from Wizengamot 'friends' which turn out to be the creep who abused Blaise in the first place.

Harry is so cute! I am glad Severus is taking care of him.
And I understand Draco but I hope he gets over it soon, because Harry is just Harry :)

Oooh, you got me baby! I NEVER saw that coming! Very good. My sister and I talked about this revel and how it will not only effect the British Wizarding World, but for Karkaroff's nation as well. I cannot, for the life of me, remember if the man is from Russia or Germany? But getting back to what I was going to delve into was, it's gonna be interesting to see how far you are going to go with this idea. Will Snape and Harry take this before the British Ministry of Magic and what would their reactions be as some could see this as a declaration of War between the two Naitons? Could be pretty bad if the right people don't handle this. And how many besides Karkaroff are behind killing Dash, with or without getting their own Basilisk to aid them in the upcoming war when it comes their way? Pretty sure they were gonna kill Dash regardless of Harry's actions. I could rattle on about this direction with possible theories and reactions between these two Wizarding Nations, but I don't want to start repeating myself and leave a term paper long essay about this revelation. But great job on this since you have the little grey cells in my head going.

I loved the father/son moment between Harry and Snape. And I'm so glad you had Dash detect the poison Blaise tried to use and how Draco was able to figure out it was his supposed friend by paying attention to boy's past actions. Very Sherlock of him, if I may say so. Seems like the shit has hit the fan for Blaise and I can't wait to see that fool fall. Also, maybe figure out who's been helping the little fool. I still think it's Dumbledore, but if it's not and it's the last person I would suspect, their reasons as to why they want Dash dead will be interesting to read. Voldemort, perhaps?

I think it's a little too late for long, unless you make a part two.

    1. I have to ask, are you the type who is bothered by little details, especially
when it's proven to be canon in the original story? Like there was a time when
authors just KNEW Blaise was Italian and when it was proven otherwise, they still
wrote him with certain Caucasoid features, like long curly hair.

    2. I noticed you like writing creature feature stories, you give them
a certain dynamic tone compared to other stories.

    3. Is Light of the Life discontinued?
