Before I begin and would like to say thank you for responding to my prompt and I am stoked that your cool with writing it.

Glad to see Hermione getting involved and now that individuals in the Ministry have gone and actually imprisoned someone I am all for some juicy rebellion. I am also curious how Hermione would show up in the lightfinder? Nice too see that her and Malfoy can put there enmity aside for the time being for a higher cause. Will be interesting too se how well she works with the Slytherins given there history and whether she can be in the same room as pansy.

Does Kingsley fully support all of this? I mean Aurthur Weasley is a dear friend and fellow order member so wouldn't he be able to pull some strings and get bill moved to at least some better location? Speaking of which are the rest of the Weasely clan going to raise some hell over this or are they being monitored too closely to act? I take it Harry is being selective on who he brings into the fold and won't be reforming the old 'Dumbledores Army" or the Order of the Phoenix since they would not be okay with working with a known death eater and Slytherins in general?

About the whole 'facing Voldemort alone deal". THAT was Harry's choice, yes he was the only one who could kill the guy but outside of Dumbledore and Snape NONE of the other adults or students knew the bleaker points of the prophecy and any one or all of them would have stood by Harry if they knew the truth. He figured out what he would have too do and in the book at least made the effort to not tell anyone on what he was going to do. All he did was tell Neville to take care of the snake. He made the conscious effort to ensure that it would be just him and tom.

Glad too see someone at least acknowledge Neville as a war hero and horucrux-snake killing bad ass.

    I like this line:

Draco held his gaze, and nodded. "And I'll apologize for that to him. Not to you."

Draco is a 'bit' of an ass most of the time but he will own up to that old mistake he made, but ONLY to the man who was hurt from it and no one else. If anything it makes me respect him a little more.

PLEASE tell me you're going to put that ward spell in action, it would be a
    crime not to. :-)

Splinter always seemed like he wanted things for his own personal gains, when he was
first introduced, now he has an underlying motive. He 'smells' fishy. Personally I find
    the Lightfinder very flawed...and tainted.

    2. Aster sounds like he can be very valuable as an ally AND sneaky to boot! :-)

A very good chapter to the story. So Draco has now found a very old person who perhaps knows the source of the "Lightfinder".... I am betting that the "Lightfinder" does not find light, it finds the will to rise up against oppressors and someone in the ministry is trying to turn the magical world into their obedient little sheep.

I understand needing to look back to see where you left off in a story. I feel the same because I am reading more than one story at a time. When you factor in the time between updates which can get lengthy, I get confused sometimes over what the plot and character are like in a story. I hope Harry is going to man up and tell them off soon. After all he saved the world,
what difference does it make - light or dark? Anyone really knowing him knows he wouldn't hurt anyone except in defense. He's behaving like a dufuss, like he has no brain, doing and believing whatever they tell him.

ahhh... good good good... Harry and Draco will need all the help they can get and it will be fun watching them get back at the ministry. Nice to see Harry isn't as gullible as he was.

Smart indeed. I love a Take Charge Harry who has his wits about him. :-)

I have to ask, is it sometimes hard keeping the individual characters separate..or are you
now used to writing them that it's easy?

Despite what Kingsley says, how come he sounds like he doesn't want to help?

That was a nice explanation you did on the difference of Light and Dark. If anything
Draco would be the one to make a good political figurehead, if they get this off the ground.

Taint? Um.... no. More like the natural effect of having a hard life in the real world. Something tells me that they are mistaking 'hard life' for 'darkness' here. Remember: Aurors have cast the killing curse and other 'dark' curses, are they going to say that they are tainted and therefore do not deserve to live anymore?

Finally Harry is begining to think for himself instead of being told what he is and what he should do. Of course he still wants to run everything by Hermione & Ron like he is stupid and is just a figurehead...needs to be told what to do. Yea Draco!!

Man sucks to be Harry, that man gets no rest whatsoever. You would think after all he has done that people would give him the benefit of the doubt. I do believe I am going to enjoy this latest work from you. I know I have said it before but I love the handle you got on the friendship between Hermione and harry in your stories, I mean I like Ron too but the scenes between those two are just so sweet most of the time since being a Muggleborn she can relate to Harry on a different level and you show the mutual platonic love and trust they share very well. Quite a bit of irony(or perhaps hypocrisy?) in how Malfoy and Pansy are talking about their rights getting taken away considering certain ideology's they used(?) to adhere to and how other peoples rights didn't matter much to them. Curious on how the meeting between them and Harry will go and whether they really have the stones to go forward with their blackmail. Granted that they are very desperate it is still a dick move lol. If you want to convince people that you're not bad.............things like blackmail are 'kind' of a step backwards.

-waits patiently for the next chapter-

Harry seems so unsure even lost in this story. Not crazy about this side of him. Hope Draco, Hermione, someone gives him a backbone soon. For heaven's sake he should know he is not like Voldemore or other dark wizards. He's not stupid just naive and probably worn out from all the war he had to go through. Everybody has some dark in them no matter how good they are.

Interesting start. Harry is so casual about how he reacts to the ministry's "requests" that are actually demands and so naive about how people can be influenced to react however they are led. He's already in trouble with how people including some who know him therefor should know better are looking at him. Hope Draco and Harry hook up quick and work together to "right the wrongs" of this crazy wizarding society...looks like they are jumping to conclusions again.
